I ran into this game on Barrowdowns, and it's utterly hilarious if done right.
What you do is you post something that's "fortunately". The person after you posts an "unfortunately" right after it. You begin your sentence with the word either fortunately or unfortunately, and carry on from the last person's post. I think we can do this Middle-earthian style, keeping it LotR/SW.
Example.
"Fortunately, Darth Vader won a million dollars in a jackpot"
"Unfortunately, the deal was rigged so that his entire bank account's funds went straight to Han Solo"
"Fortunately, Han was caught by a villianous bounty hunter, and Darth Vader's funds were saved!"
"Unfortunately, in the moment of triumph, the rebels snuck in and blew up Vader's SSD."
And so on, so forth. It's really quite hilarious to read. If anyone wants to give this a try, I'll start.
"Fortunately, the Death Star blew up when Luke Skywalker hit it with a proton torpedo."
