"One second, Axel."
He turned back to Amara. "95-XE is, or was, a real person, a person who was programmed without a concioncse, the perfect killing machine. The only problem was, he was given a superior mind, and when he was sent to kill the scientists, I was created. I was his concioncse, and he hated me. It came down to a mental battle, and I won. He wasn't ready, and I sent him into the void of the empty spaces of my mind. Since then, every time I fall asleep, I have to fight him until I wake up, so he can't take control."
He listened to Amara, feeling bitterly terrible for the pain he had inflicted.
"I thank you, Amara. But the battles I fight with 95-XE are in the mental world, and I have to fight them alone, but you can help me in the physical world, by watching my back. I appreciate any help you can give. Maybe when you're with us we'll find what you're looking for."
He turned to Axel. "Ok, which way?"

Axel sighed "Ok if you two are done flirting we need to head to the palace." Axel turned around and ran to the wutai palace.

Flirting? We almost fought!
Brieze scoffed at Axel's comment, and followed him, depending on his knowledge ofthe streetes to guide him.

Crazies. I'm surrounded by crazies with weapons...
Riaan had sat himself on the ground sometime in the middle of the conversation, completely aware of the fact that he had absolutely nothing in the world to say. Knees bent slightly and both guns (he had recovered the shotgun before returning to the party) next to him on the ground, he listened and laughed inwardly. Out loud, after the initial thought, he said "Nothing but the norm."
The few free moments that he had he spent checking his ammo, hoping to find at least a few bullets unspent. There's a good side, and there's a bad side, he thought to himself, staring down at his cupped hand. Good side first? Right. I have two bullets. A snort. Bad side. He shuffled the bullets around in his hand, for a moment. Well, that pretty much sucks. Means I actually have to aim.
He stood up with a sigh, sliding the handgun into its holster on the inside of his jacket, and shouldering the shotgun.
"Mmm. Palace. Sounds lovely." That last he said at Brieze's retreating back, just before he took off after him.

Brieze turned a corner, hearing Riaan's quick footsteps behind him.
"I doubt we'll actually be going to the palace, Riian, just some corner store by the palace. Like they'd just let us in anyway."

Amara shook her head, God, if that was flirting, then we better not go on a date.... She laughed to herself before following. Catching up was easy (even in those heels...), she herself was unaturally fast, besides, she wanted to keep up, she had no clue where she was going.
"Who said they'd have to let us...could always take the stealth approach...." She shrugged, fixing a stray dark hair that framed her face.

"Oh, yeah, and get my face on both the Midgar and Wutai wanted papers. Not to mention you guys', Riaan, who wants to be left alone, and Amara, who works for the Turks, and Spike over there. We'd make the perfect article," he joked.
Brieze was perfectly capable of getting in and out of certain spots, no problem. He didn't want to unless he had no other option.
There you go, being Mr. Nice Guy again, Huh, Brieze? Tsk, tsk, tsk. You can't keep this up forever. I want out.
95-XE!
A sudden pain filled his mind like someone took his buster sword to split his skull. He stopped short in his run, and dropped to his knees. He threw his hands over his scalp to try to block the pain, but couldn't stop the onslaught. Every time he thought, even something as simple as a shape, a new wave of pain flooded his existence.
Had enough? Fine. Later, Puke.
The pain didn't leave, but the waves stopped, and he was able to regain control of his mind. He couldn't stop 95-XE this time, but he'll be ready next time. Hopefully.
He slowly stood, released his scalp, and started after Axel with a slow trot. Judging by where Spike was, he was only on the floor for a few seconds. The thought brought a chill through his bones. If 95-XE was merely toying with him, his next attack could happen in the blink of an eye, before the others knew.
"So, the game's afoot. Well, 95, I'm not fighting alone this time." He said this shakily, unsure.
Excellent! More people to make you regret bringing them into this. Try not to destroy my body, Brieze, or you'll have another taste of your own medicene.

Prince Nemo stood at the entrance to the palace, he was excited for his first diplomatic venture with his age old allies, the people of the country of Wutai. His submarine sat in a elaborate harbor, his men either unpacking goods, or shopping for more. He had a few men, his first mate included, with him. He loved the beauty and age old culture that was Wutai, it reminded him of home, only it seemed to be carved out of, in tune with, the mountains, while his land appeared to have risen out of the sea. He had planned to buy a home here one day. He had snuck out the night before, he was supposed to attend a ball to help him find a wife. He refused, of course. Who had time for wives and domestic stuff when there was so much to see and do? Besides, he had not heard from AVALANCHE in a while, and wanted to check in and see what was up.
"Admiral, request permission to..."
"Just go ahead, Ishmael, you deserve it." He laughed, shaking his head. He still felt the need to ask for permission? They were life long friends, or atleast for the duration of Nemo's life that is. He saved his life on many occasions. He waved as he watched him round the corner, and stood still, admiring the decor and traditional grandeur of the palace itself. As a skilled architect and engineer, he enjoyed such. He turned his head randomely to the left while waiting for a royal reception, Princes didn't just walk into palaces, you know...
And he saw a young man fall to his knees clutching his head, in severe pain. He also caught a glimpse of a group running very quickly ahead of him. He saw him slowly stand, and continue the run, albeit slowly. He made his way over, running.
"Man, are you alright?" He asked, running next to the young man. He didn't put two and two together, the large buster sword should have been a give away, but all he saw was a man in pain.

She saw Brieze fall, and she turned quickly, reversing. "Brieze! What happened? Is it what I think it is?" She asked, truely concerned. She stopped when she saw a young man dressed in elaborate clothing, obviously a royal, running up to him. She'd defend Brieze if need be. He did save her life twice in the past battle.
She noticed that the royal was running in a direction opposite the palace, so he came from there. When Brieze was able to stand, she let out a sigh of relief, and decided to wait for him to catch up with her to keep going, she'd need to be there in case he had another relapse; to either provide needed support, or stop him before he was made to do something else he'd later regret.

Amara's words resounded in his head like gongs, and anothers voice came, crying out. He opened his eyes, and saw Amara a was off, and the newcomer approaching. He was dressed in clothes fit for royalty, and was quite young to be out alone. But then, of course, Brieze was only seven.
"I'm better now, but I must get to the houses of healing here before he strikes again." He decided he should elaborate. "Long story short, I have a severe case of Miltiple Personality Disorder, and my other personality is desperate to get out. He's a nightmare in the flesh, wanting to destroy everything in his path, so I came here, hoping for a cure. My name is Brieze, and please don't shout, my head isn't all that quiet as it is."
He turned and waved to Amara with a forced smile on his face, showing he was all right, but he had to keep moving.
"Excuse me, sir, I appreciate your concern, but I must continue on. You may come if you wish."
Brieze trotted over to Amara, and leaned over so he could whisper without being overheard, or killing his head.
"It was 95-XE, and he wasn't too happy. We must hurry." He looked amara in the eye, appriciation in his. "I will be fine if we can get there in time, and hope there is a cure."
He continued to trot on, trying to minimize his own sound for fear of triggering another attack. He decided to risk a yell. And he wished he didn't.
"Axel, how much farther?"

Skid to a stop, watch the wall... whoah, what the dressy people...
Riaan skidded back around, feeling a little like a bumper car without all of the walls to bounce off of, and grimaced. "Well, I suppose wandering about in the back end of this whole weirdo train's fine. I always wanted to be a caboose."
He continued to follow Brieze, catching his comment to Amara on the breeze ((almost typed 'Brieze'. Heh.)), and held back a laugh. Short of smacking your head good and hard on a wall? There probably isn't...
Pessimism. It just... works, for some people.

Brieze looked up at the massive structure. He'd expected some cornerstore, not the palace itself.
He walked up to the gate, and a guard stood infront of him, hand on a katana.
"State your buisness, strange-- SOLDIER!" He brandished the katana and pointed it at his neck. "No SOLDIERs allowed!"
Brieze had expected this. Shin-Ra wasn't so popular here. He pulled out his press pass.
"I'm with the Midgar Morning, and I--"
"No SOLDIERs, period! We don't want your kind here. Now leave before we have you beheaded!"
Brieze sighed. Looks like a stealth plan wasn't so terrible right now.

Amara was relieved that he was able to keep going, although a bit alarmed by the whole thing as well. She looked at the young man he had just finished explaining most of the situation to, and wondered if it was a good idea to even involve such a young man into this. She couldn't help but laugh slightly at what Riaan and Axel had been saying, mabye it was her own sense of humour. Anyone who met Reno knew that TURKS did have one.
She stared at the palace, it was larger, alot larger than she remembered. Of course, she had really never been here, she only saw pictures and stuff.
"No SOLDIERs, period! We don't want your kind here. Now leave before we have you beheaded!" Amara winced, that didn't work out so well. And her get up didn't help either.
"So much for the fabled "Wutai Hospitality"" She sighed. This would be harder than she tought.

"...Excuse me, sir, I appreciate your concern, but I must continue on. You may come if you wish." Nemo was caught off guard by his story, most peole wouldn't flat out tell someone they had a problem like that, for good reason. He watched him whisper to the woman in the suit, somehting almost inaudible. The word "cure" stood out to him. They needed a cure?!
"State your buisness, strange-- SOLDIER!" He brandished the katana and pointed it at his neck. "No SOLDIERs allowed!" Nemo watched the scene, and decided that since they had somehwat invited him to come along, and he was aching for a good adventure, and since he had diplomatic immunity, he would try his hand at a little smuggling.
"I am Prince Nemo, Admiral if you wish; I am here to meet with your leaders for our annual summit, these are my press and bodyguard, they have come to cover the event. I have personally chosen each one, so there is no question as to their integrity." Nemo said, all snobby and regal, as if he really sounded like that. But it put on a good show, and hopefully the guy fell for it. He'd have to, after all, he was still a prince who was almost late for a meeting, why not help these guys get in for that cure they need while he was at it. Besides, he hated Shinra, people out these ways normally did, but soldiers weren't the same as presidents, or TURKS, normally they were treated well. Now the woman, he wouldn't have lifted a dime for if she wasn't part of the group...he hated Turks.

Brieze looked at the events occuring, and decided to play along.
The guard looked a little shaken, but held his ground, and the katana.
"Ok, you can go in, but the SOLDIER stays out here. We have enough trouble with the--" He stopped himself. Probably so he wouldn't give away a secret. "Disturbences. Prince Nemo, you and your bodyguards may go now."
Brieze knew he could easily take down the guard, and walk right in, but he didn't want to fight, he came here to heal. So he sagged his shoulders, letting his arms fall to his sides, in the most unprovocable stance he had.
"If I give you my weapons, will you let me in?"
The guard pondered this. "Surrender your weapons, and I will let you in with an armed escort. We've dealt with your kind before. If you even sneeze, we'll take you out. Understood?"
Brieze nodded, and unhooked his katana from his belt, and set it on the ground, then nudged it to the guard with his foot, not wanting to harm the weapon or its casing. Then he removed his Buster from his back and placed it on the ground. Satisfied, the guard motioned with his hand, and four more guard came out, and took posistions around Brieze.
The guard smiled. "Ok, now you can go inside. Men he twiches, gut him." The guards nodded.
Brieze missed the wieght of his Buster on his back, and the pat of the katana against his leg as he walked, but it was the only way inside. He looked to the others. "Ready?"

Amara winced inwardly, she could tell those weapons were important to him. It was the same with her father as well. But if it meant that they could get in, it was for the greater good. She was honestly surprised that they didn't question her as well; it was obvious they were no fans of Shinra, nothing like Junon. But then, a suit was alot less eyecatching than one of those swords...
"Ok, now you can go inside. Men he twiches, gut him." Amara twitched, eyes wide.
"Damn...they must have really bad tourism reviews..."
"Ready when you are..." Amara said, looking back at the guard warily before following. This is what she hated about these far off places, in Midgar, seeing a SOLDIER didn't convey the same meaning as it did out here. She guessed it meant Shinra oppression, or something like that. She honestly couldn't understand it. She worked under her president for years, and had never been treated like others said she would. But better him than those AVALANCHE monsters who brought down that plate on her neighborhood. That contributed to her bouts of sever claustophobia, and further convinced her that something had been done to her. How could she have survived that? No one else did...
She looked a bit somber when thinking of this. How much she had lost in her life. She wasn't too trusting of this "Prince", more like terrorist. He bombed Junon and killed many good shinra soldiers and civilians. Or atleast that's who he reminded her of. She saw it on the news, and he seemed more legend than real life. How could someone at such a young age do such things?
"It's alright, we'll get 'em back soon..." She smiled a bit reassuringly. She noticed Nemo's glare. Well he could sure tell she was Shinra... "What are you looking at?"

Brieze looked at Amara, and gave her a genuine smile of appreciation. A guard nudged him in the back with the butt of his spear.
"Let's go, come on!"
Brieze walked forward, past the gates, and into the palace. He looked back to see if the others were following, but was rewarded with another nudge, only more like a shove. So he kept moving.

Riaan was tempted to walk as slow as possible, as he was wandering about in the back, and hadn't really been paying attention. But it seemed like the thing to do, with all these guards hyped up on steroids, or some such.
Fortunately, he quelled the urge, and followed quietly.
