Nyx was bored. She hadn't been of much help in the battle, being so small and all. And she hadn't gotten close enough to use her magik. It was spelled with a k, not a c. So she fluttered around, looking for Farne. He said he was a cook, so he's probably in the galley! So she flew that way.

Farne was, in fact, in the galley, busily cutting up a mountain of potatoes to make fries out of. He left the skin on the potatoes (after cleaning them thoroughly, of course), because everyone knew that the best fries were Wedge Antilles fries with the skin still on. He heard a slight flutter coming his way, however, and looked up from his cutting board curiously.

"Farne!" Piped Nyx. "Tinkerbell's somewhere else, so I came to see if I could help you at all." She looked at the unskined potatos. "What're you going to do with those?

"Hi, Nyx," he said cheerfully, having livened up a bit now that he was doing something he knew he could accomplish. "I'm cutting them up to make some fries. Like the really good ones with the skin still on. If you want, you can turn on the deep fryer over there." He pointed to a hulking shiny machine in the corner.

Nyx flew over, and studied the different knobs, talking aloud to herself. "Well, that one says "On"." So she pushed the nice shiny button. It didn't work at first, because it was sticking and Nyx wasn't altogether that strong, so she pushed again, using her wings to propel her forward and it slid in with a little pop! "So, you put the fries in there, and it coks them for you! How convenient."

Zen nodded in agreement.
"But how?" she asked. "We can't let them see us!"

"It is!" Farne said happily, setting down the first bucket full of un-fried fries down next to the machine. "I guess it'll be a little while before it's hot enough." He paused for a moment of thought. Nyx might have been able to help cut the potatoes except for the fact of her relatively small size; Farne wasn't sure if she would manage with her smaller weight.
Then he thought of something. "Did you want to get some spices down from the high cupboard for the meat?"
Reebz bit his lip in thought. [Do you know how to do that stealth thing that ninjas do? Like when they walk around places and no one notices them? Because I sure don't, but that would be really cool. And it might work, too.]

"Twas no fault of ours, Master Sith. The Commodore, it seems can not hold his own against anything powerful, Sith or cursed pirates!" When Norrington came aboard, Tormé resisted the urge to loudly reprimand him. "Commodore Norrington, can you explain the fact that my ship and your own are the only I see? Did the pirates get away?" Norrington explained how the Jolly Roger had simply dissapeared, and assured her that he had done everything in his power to keep them there. Once he had gone Tormé mused, "If I was a pirate running from the law where would I go?" The answer was obvious. She announced to her crew. "We are going to Tortuga, prepare for dimensional shift!" Tormé once again went to her cabin and repeated her earlier actions.

"Uh oh," whispered Zen. "Another dimensional shift?" The first one had left her feeling slightly ill. She really didn't want to experience another joy-filled ride through time and space. But what other option did she have?
"I can kind of do the whole stealth thing," she told Reebz, "But you can't, so it won't help you. Maybe we can dash to a new hiding spot while the ship goes through the dimensional shift. There'll be plenty of distractions mid-warp."

As the Pirate captains talked over dinner the crews had set sail for what all said aloud to be the Isle du Muerta to visit Le Comte de Monte Cristo. Only the Captains Sparrow and Hook knew of their true destination.
Both having very fast ships they were well on their way to the next destination by nightfall.
"Jack tells me we're going to pick up some Count off of the Italian coast." Annamaria said to Warious aboard the Jolly Roger. The Captains were on board the Black Pearl.
"Yup. Edmond Dantes. Old friend of mine actually. It should only take us a few weeks at this pace."
Annamaria noted the direction in which the two ships were sailing and saw that so far they were heading in the right direction for Italy. "Where is the galley? I'm hungry." Annamaria said.
"Me too. The galley is this way."
Warious and Annamaria found their way down to the galley to the smell of..."WEDGE ANTILLIES FRIES!" Warious cheered and glomped Farne. "How did you know I love fires? What are we having with it?"

((Edmond! W00t!!!))
Farne's eyes went round. Glomping was a thing uncommon to him, except in the case of Talnaver, naturally. He remembered back to his lessons on manners and hugged Warious back. "Er... I haven't decided yet. Lots of things go with Wedge Antilles fries, you know, and... Well, did anyone have any ideas?"
[Dimensional shift?] Reebz sank his long retractable claws into the deck of the ship, feeling a little scared.

"I have no idea," Zen replied truthfully. "All I know is that it involves a lot of time-space-magick-y hoo-ha. And that I really don't like them." She scratched her chin thoughtfully.
"But where do we run to?" she mused. "Below deck, maybe? Or another spot on-deck?"

[The crow's nest would probably be a bad place to hide,] Reebz noted with a serious expression on his furred face, though not many could tell. [We might fall out or something. I suppose below deck would be our best option.]

Nyx flew down, lugging a jar of spice, and giggled at Farne. She set it down on the counter, suggesting, "I personally like salads." It came with being a sprite. "But they don't go very well with fries. How about hamburgers?" That came with living among humans for several decades.

(( Ah... I see I am not the only one they are known as that to...)) Godric spun crazily in midair before *THUMPF* landing hard on the something hard. He'd had a dizzying trip thru the ether the culminated in a pink bubble containing a few zillion monkeys asking him to proofread their new drama called "Gone with the wind". He shook his head, checked to make sure his sword was safe, looked up, and found himself on a black deck with a black shadow blocking the sun. He looked into the evil stare of a pirate with a parrot on his shoulder. "May I inquire the name of this ship?" No response. "Excuse me sir?" The parrot squwaked "wind in yer sails." Godirc raised an eyebrow. Obviousl;y something was wrong wiht this man. He tried shouting in his ear "COULD YOU TELL ME WHERE I AM, SIR?", pantomime, and finally, in desperation, he begged, "Good sir, could you please take me to you captain?" The man, at long last, responded. He walked down the gangplank. With a heavy sigh - all he wanted was a rest where things didn't move and his mind could get a grasp on events- Godric followed.

Farne's eyes widened. "H-hamburgers? Oh, no! I didn't defrost the ground beef!! What am I going to do?!" He grabbed Warious' arms in a blind panic. "Someone help me!!!"

"All right," Zen said. "Below deck it is, then." She pointed to the grate on the deck that led to the inside of the ship.
"When the ship goes into the shift, we try and get to that door," she instructed. "I'll need your help opening it, I think; it looks kinda heavy."
^_^ Yay!
//Heeheheee. Our Google ads are now all about french fries, have you noticed?//

Captain Hook and Jack turned their heads toward the door as it opened, stopping their conversation.
“Ah, Mr. Wayfarer. Good of you to join us. Warious had said you would be joining us later. Have a seat.” Captain Hook said. “Jack, this is Godric Wayfarer, our missing Helmsman. Wayfarer, Captain Jack Sparrow. ~~ “Calm down Farne! There is some thawed out nerf in the fridge.” Warious said freeing herself from his grip and taking out said meat.

((I LOVES THE MUFFINS!! *Gir screech*))
Reebz bent down closer to the ground and peered across at the grate. [It's kind of big. But we can probably lift it together.] His retractable claws popped out; he figured it would help if he could hook onto the metal bars. [Ready for it.]
"Oh," said Farne, relieved. "Oh. Good. Thanks. Nerf...got it. We'll have nerf burgers and Wedge Antilles fries. And maybe a nice light salad on the side." He paused. "But what am I going to do for appetizers? Do I have anything to make some salmon paté with? Any white wine? Even Kahlua?" He rushed to the cupboards frantically. There had to be something.

"Come on, Farne, you don't need appetizers with burgers." Nyx flew over to the chef's shoulder. Then she looked to Warious. "By the way, what's nerf?" Nyx had never been to the Star Wars galaxy for a long period of time.
