((Heh. WEM has undergone some renovations, yes... I don't remember when, exactly, mind you. I'm just saying it's big enough to have all of us in it comfortably. It's certainly bigger than most other localish bookstores...))
Tiff decided quickly that MEI must be a lot more observant than most people. Most people would not have noticed that she was having trouble breathing, save perhaps Jandalf, let alone commented on it. "I just need air," she managed through the straw like breathing sensation. That's the only real way to describe it. It feels as if someone's narrowed your lungs down to the size of straws, and then tried to force you to breathe into those. "I'm really quite fine, this is normal... I just need air... who are you two?!"

Cailyn was positive. THEY'RE FROM ME:I!!!! "Ohmigosh..." she muttered. She took a deep breath and put on her cool face. She whipped on her sunnies and walked around the bookshelf.. "Umm... are you guys, buy any chance from Middle Earth: Insanity? I heard a couple names I recognized mentioned. Lauren?? you're here too? THIS IS AN ME:I MEETING!!!!!! Ohmigoshohmigoshohmigosh....I'm Alistair!!! or, Cailyn." She smiled at everyone and sincerely hoped that this was indeed a ME:I meeting... sometimes she tended to go out on a limb a little.

<OOC*doom* lost a paragraph..wait...wouldn't that still be in character? Snrk>
Mac ignored the yelling and remained focused, though relaxed as Tiana said she was going to survive. Mac figured she might as well call them their screennames if they'd answer them...just to figure out who was who. "Yo Spaz..." She said offhandedly to her fellow Jersian. She was ok with taking control of a situation, walking that social precipise, if too many people did not notice it.
"You sure you're alright? That sounds like asthma to me, if you've got it." Look up at Duncariel-type. "That you Dun?" I don't know if she needs the inhalor or not...thank the Force though someone's got one. Mac sighed a little and checked her balance. Then there was another girl...she felt she needed permission from Mac to go get a drink? Fascinating, this having-rank stuff..."Sure go ahead." Mac said, turned slightly. "Just who are you? Online?" She wasn't sure if this one looked like anyone.
<bty Joan, did you post a physical desc? I couldn't find one..>

Lauren had been shooed away with everyone else, and felt quite out of place. "Cailyn!" She hugged her, hard. "What are you doing in Canadia? Well, that's not really a fair question, since I dont' know what I'm doing in Canadia..." Lauren looked at her suspisciously. "You didn't skip school, did you, sis?" Yes, Cailyn was Lauren's sister, they had been sisters for about 14 years now...

Cailyn patted her sister on the back and looked at her. She coughed lightly at Lauren's comment. "Never." she said said sarcastically. She played with the zipper on her sweater and asked: "So, who is everybody? and where are they going?"

"Yeah, I'm Dun. Well, Kinzie, formally. But that doesn't really matter, at the moment." Kinzie eased up out of her crouch, fairly certain the 'situation' was under control. She sort of knew the feeling -- so many people in one place, who are sure they know you, but you really still have no idea who they are. Sounded a lot like her school, actually. She was sure the only reason she hadn't already had a meltdown was because she was pretty much used to it. And I'm wearing my good shoes....
I wonder if my family know where I am... I don't suppose a cellphone registered to Montana will work in Canada, will it? Oh well. I think I still have a phone card. Though these thoughts seemed slightly mundane, her family was something Kinzie thought of more than herslef, usually. Plus, if they didn't know where she was, she'd be grounded for the rest of her life. Since she had managed to get into Canada, and all.

(( Uh, nope. So far, you should know that I have hair...snrk... It'll come. Not really foremost on my mind at the moment.))
"I...I'm Joan," Joan muttered as she stood up. "People keep crowding her, and I can't make them stop." Her voice trembled a little, and her head was spinning worse than before.
Okay, looks like Cy has things under control here... She decided it was time to lead by example, and headed for the door. "Oh! Cooper! Give me your sack...do you have money? I need to eat something NOW...please?"

Lena's mind kicked into gear. Not being able to breathe was something she was well aquianted with.
"OK, let's back up a sec," she said calmly to the tightly-packed cluster of ME:I-ers. "We're usin' up all the O2." She grinned and sat down, trying not to look as nervous as she felt. It was one thing when it was her OWN lungs malfunctioning. She was perfectly used to that. But someone ELSE'S lungs.... Eh...
"You sure you're going to be okay?" she asked Tiff. "Wanna go outside? Need, like, a Pepsi or something?" Caffiene used to help when she had asthma attacks, for whatever reason.
"I've got a cell phone, too, if you need to call someone."

Great, thought Renée. Great job, as usual. Stand there being all uncertain while the emergencies fly around you. Wonderful. At least I haven't been forced to walk by any candle stores yet. They had roughly the same effect on her as sudden stress did on Tiff, after all, which wasn't generally known to be pleasant. Okay. Get a grip. Everyone's alive, and this is cool...ME:I practically showed up in Chapters at the drop of a hat...
The heck?! She started chortling, and finally remembered a past comment, as memories didn't tend to stick to her brain very well. "Yes...the name Maeggaladiel does mean something to me...dang it. Let's step back a little more, people! I can feel the carbon dioxide content starting to get to me, never mind Tiff..." Who was down on the floor, and, as most people who had taken chemistry knew, CO2 was denser than air. Therefore it sank. Therefore Tiff would probably be getting the most of it. "Spread out a bit, okay?"

"No, it's all right. I haven't had to go to the hospital from asthma for quite a few years now. It's not really that bad, just bad enough to be a bug," Tiff muttered, searching around in her purse for her inhaler. She wasn't stupid enough to leave home without it; she had learned that whenever that happened, she ended up short of breath.
A distant piece of her mind kicked in that Maeg had had one lung collapse, or something... she thought she remembered Mekka having asthma as well from previous conversations. But then, it was her job to remember stupid information, and it all got jammed into a mess when it might possibly be useful to remember it.
It's just the crowd, just the panic of being crowded by a billion people I blasted well don't know... YAGH! She exhaled slowly, trying to find enough air to get into her lungs. You see, it wouldn't've been so bad had there only been one or two people around, but it's hard enough to get enough air then, and being crowded makes things far worse. ((I should know, I'm experienced. Heh.)) But it still took a few shots before she could even attempt to start breathing normally and try filtering this through a logical pattern. Oh, Force, there IS no logic.

M...my...apprentice?! Whoa, I just stuttered in my b-brain! Need....food....
"Aaaaaaaaa! AAAAAAAA! AAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!" Joan screamed hoarsely as she glomped the complete stranger standing before her. "Come with me! We're going...to get out of this bookstore!!!" Well, that sounded very dramatic...

Lauren cast a worried eye after her sister and Joan. Should she follow? This was a weird plot, and Lauren was naturally protective. She wanted to see Mekka though! Caught in between, she let out a sound that sounded like a growl and a sigh, and looked out the bookstore to where Joan and Cailyn were walking.
If anything happens to her, Mom's going to kill me, after I kill Cailyn for letting herself get into trouble... Lauren frowned. Her sister probably didn't want her intruding, and she could always call the mall security. Mekka, or Cooper was talking to Jandalf, another person she wanted to talk to, and Dûn looked busy to, who was her alias's master...
This might turn out to be a little confusing.

"Joan!! Yeah, yeah, I gots the money..." Cooper whipped her sack off her back once more, and pulled the drawstring loose.
"Omigosh! JOAN!!"
Cooper nearly crashed into the girl who lept up behind her. Whoa... Her brain was going into serious overdrive. But as long as her sister was panicking, Cooper would stay perfectly calm. And vice versa.
She squinted at the girl. "Ali? Okay, we've gotta get something to eat." She took Joan firmly by the hand, and found that her charge was clinging to the extremely excited Alistair. "We're gonna go to the whatever... the fast food place down the hall, okay?" Cooper dragged Joan and Ali and whoever else toward the exit.
"We'll be back in a sec... EVERYONE HEAR? WE'RE GOING TO GET SOMETHING TO EAT FOR JOAN BEFORE SHE PASSES OUT!!!"
Stupid me. Always searching for approval... Cooper wondered briefly if anyone would come along. Maybe this was all a dream, and if she left the scene she would never regain what she had found here... all of MEI!! Just in case:

Cailyn looked at her 'Master' and nodded. "You need... food, or painkillers... or something I think I saw a little sandwich place on my way in." She couldn't help letting a smile escape onto her lips as she set out on her first mission with her master: 'The Quest for Palatable Food'

EDIT: Eh, what the cookie...I'll post now.
Joan went along wherever Cooper was dragging her. She was feeling a bit...floaty, at this point, and didn't want to stop until there was food.
"Okay..." she managed to grin wildly at her apprentice. "You're...what's your name? I...this is so weird...and, you're following me? Wow..."

Ed wasn't sure to make of all the racket that she heard.. "It sounds like someone is dying." She looked over ant Kinzie and Cy.. "I know what can make them, calm down! A SPOON!" Ed knew she was very hyper because of that stupid peice of chocolate she ate. "Don't mind me, I am just hyper." She wondered what Kinzie and Cy were thinking of her because of all her randomness and her outbursts which were causing people to stare.. "Let's go and find more of the group. Who is that over there?" Ed was pointing to Joan and someone else that Ed knew not of.
