Mae govannan, mellon-nin. Welcome to the Last Homely house in Rivendell. Come, enter, and talk. Tell a tale, and RPG. I am Elrond, and will be here to keep an eye on you, and post as well, myself. Tthere will be a few counsels held, many tales to be told, and much to do in this house. So come in, and enjoy your stay here, in the Last Homely House. Have fun.
OOC notes: No interfiring with other characters, or sending them off somewhere, do not leave Rivendell, and only I, the master here, can move the time frame forwards. Become an Elf, Dwarf, Hobbit, Human, or Ranger. It truly doesn't matter, just try to have fun.
Thanks.
Enjoy your stay here, in Imladris.

Celebrian, my lovely wife, and I will be here to watch you, and tell you much about our home here, in Imladris. So come in, welcome, and RPG here, in Middle-earth, with us.
NOTES:
The year is 1980 S.A.. Moria is still inhabited by the dwarves, though the Balrog has surfaced. Elrond and Celebrian's children live in Imladris with them still, though Celebrian loves traveling to Lorien, to see here parents, the Lord and Lady of Lothlorien. She has not yet been captured by the orcs.
Sauron was defeated in war, and the ring taken by Isildur, and sits in the river Anduin, where it waits to be found. Much waits, and will surface again... but now, we are in peace.
OOC notes: If you must write OOC, put it in brackets (). Try to write third person, and use quote marks, not script. We are all trying to have fun here, so try to take the story on from the last post, and keep a straight story, no crossovers, and be nice to other characters. You can be a dwarf, elf, hobbit, human, it doesn't matter. Just try to have fun; this is a free RPG, so don't worry too much about plot, or anything. Only Celebrian and I will be allowed to move the timeframe up.
Thanks. -Eowyn Skywalker, now known as Elrond, in this forum.

Elrond watched, relieved that Celebrian, his wife, had arived safely from her journey to Lothlorien. It was peaceful, and there was little to fear, but he still watched uneasilly for her return each time she left, as if in foresight.
This time, Arwen had went with her, and they had both came back safely though the mountains, there was no reason to be jumpy anymore.
And still, he always worried for their safety. Every time.
She smiled as he greeted the small party that had traveled with her though the mountains.
"Home at last," she sighed. "Did you miss me, Elrond?"
Elrond, in response, embraced her tightly, then turned to Arwen.
"You have grown more beautiful, my daughter," he said, smiling. "As one in the likeness of Luthien herself."
Arwen smiled, accepting the complement with grace, as was her manner. "Thank you, Ada," she said, then dashed off to find her brothers, for she was anxious to learn what had taken place in Imladris during her stay in Lorien.
Elrond took Celebrian's hand, and they left, entering the Last Homely House, the home in which Elrond made his dwelling.
It was a welcoming place, with doors open to all who wished to enter the Hidden Valley of Rivendell. There were few who could find it, but those few were always welcome in these times, a time of peace.

Celebrian scanned the scenery so familiar to her, but always new and refreshing. She loved the home that Elrond had built around their family and the many guests that came and went. She was filled with peace. It seemed nothing could go wrong, everything seemed so perfect. Especially since Sauron was destroyed. At least that is what she thought.
Celebrian went to see what her sons were up to. Elrohir and Elladan rushed to hug her when she caught up with them. "What have you been up to while I was gone?," asked Celebrian. "About 6 foot 3!," answered Elladan. "I see you haven't lost you sense of humor," laughed his mother. "Actually we have been working hard with our archery practice," said Elrohir. "I think that I would win hands down against Elladan anyday!!." "Oh, we'll have to see about that! I challenge you to see who can split the first arrow in two!!," Celebrian smiled and lightly shook her finger at them, "I see you two haven't changed much. Save it for later. We really must go for lunch. I have missed having a family dinner. Oh, have you seen Arwen?" "Oh, yes, mother. We all a chance to catch up a bit, but then she went back room to wash up."
Celebrian headed back to the house. The fragrance of dinner was enticing! Elrond had made her favorite! He always knew how to make everyone feel welcome. She freshened up and quickly made her way to dinner.
Elrond and Arwen were already sitting there with several other unfamiliar guests. Celebrian said, "I see we have new guests, faces I don't recall meeting before. Do they have news to bring?" Elrond told her that these travelers had passed though Bree. There was rumor of an evil surfacing again in Mordor. Celebrian sighed. Perhaps it was only a rumor, but she knew in her heart that there was a truth to it. She had sensed that something was bothering her parents, Galadriel and Celeborn. They wouldn't admit that anything was wrong when she asked them. Celebrian supposed that was because they didn't want to worry her. Celebrian was known to worry about too much. Well, she was with her family again. For tonight at least, she wasn't going to think about it.
She turned to her family and smiled. "Let's enjoy tonight!"

It is the evening after supper. There are many strangers in Imladris now, some with the tidings of bad news. But Celebrian has returned safely, and so the elves are calm, and Rivendell is peaceful. The bad news can wait for the morning.
Elrond watched as his wife talked with her sons, for it had been a while since they had talked. Right now he was content to see her safe at home.
The strangers spoke of a shadow reforming in the east, and he didn't doubt that it would return. Until the ring was destroyed...
He had been there, standing beside Isildur. Cirdan had been with him, and they urged Isildur to cast the ring into the fire.
But he had not. He had claimed it for his own that day. And the Ring, which should've been destroyed, passed into the hands of Isildur.
...And some things, that should not've been forgotten, were lost.
The ring was lost, when Isildur died, the ring vanished with him... and that had not been very long ago, at least the the elves.
Lost... in the river Anduin. Though would that keep it safe for long?
If only Isildur had destroyed it when he had the chance...
Elrond shook the dark thoughts from his head. There was no reason to think of that past now. It had been so long ago...
And yet...
And yet a shadow of fear was upon him still. While the ring still lived, so did it's maker, though many would hope otherwise.
Someday he would return.
"And there I go again," said Elrond. "Slipping into the past." He laughed out loud, a rare thing, though it should not've been.
But still, there was grim news. A ranger of the north had came into Imladris. He had had dark tales, he had said. Much is falling, Lord Elrond, the ranger had said. The shadow seeks to return to this world. I bring grim tidings, to those who would see them as such.
Elrond supposed that it would be wise to find the Dunadan, and find out the tidings that he carried, whether they be good, or bad.

Lady Galuwen of Mirkwood sat atop her horse Angel as she rode passed the boarders and into Rivendell. Her long red hair made her stand out amoung other Elfs, along with her bow and arrows that she kept on her back. She wore a long light blue dress that matched her blue eyes. She was the best friend of Linwelos Thrandull, daughter of King Thrandull and sister to Legolas. This was her first trip without Linwelos by her side. Her elven eyes looked upon the beauty of Rivendell as she dismounted and led Angel to the stable. Once her horse was taken care of, she walked up the stairs, entering the house.

Celebrian met her at the stairs. "Welcome, to Rivendell Lady Galuwen! Surprised to see me? Well, actually I am surprised to see you so soon. You have journeyed far since the last time we met. Please tell me what brings you to Rivendell. Allow me to show you to your room. Once you are settled in then we can talk."
Celebrian lead Lady Galuwen through a long series of hallways until they came to the boarding rooms.
The room the entered was fragrant with a bouquet of fresh flowers. The sunlight spilled out across the floor making the room warm and inviting. The elven decor was as elaborate as ever, but not overwhelming. The room contained a canopy bed, a wardrobe, a comfortable chair and one small table.
"I'll send Linadriel up with some supplies for you to freshen up with. When you are rested you can find me by garden. Linadriel will guide you. See you later." With that, Celebrian went off in search of Elrond. She wanted to tell him of Lady Galuwen's arrival.

"Hannon le," She said as she watched him leave. Looking at her new surroundings, she found a large picture window next to a small chair. Galuwen sat and enjoyed the veiw of a large waterfall. This was her first time in Rivendell. And she wanted to enjoy her stay here.

After having been riding for a long while after having left Lothlorien, Linwelos finally neared the realm of Imladris to the last Homely House of Lord Elrond. Riding into the outer borders of the elven realm she urged Anendir, her white/grey horse to pick up speed to where he was in a collected gallop, his hooves drumming rhythmically against the forest floor. Her eyes saw the buildings of Imladris nearing her view, the sounds of the thunderous waterfalls growing ever louder in her ears as the wind whipped her dress and hair in the wind. Her friend Galuwen should have already arrived within the city and was looking forward to seeing her once more.

(O.O.C.: Ok, I'm just gonna jump in and say something. tell me if I do anything wrong.)
A black-cloaked figure rode in on a majestic ash-grey steed. Dismounting, the figure slid their hood off of their head to reveal smokey-green eyes and wavy raven hair. She scanned her surroundings from side to side, then took her horse by the reins and walked forward.
Walking a little further, the figure saw a few elves talking. She walked towards them.
"Hello," She began, not knowing exactly what to say or what to do.

Galuwen feeling rested wondered throughout the beautiful gardens as the sound of water seemed to be everywhere. As she took in the sights she also kept her eyes open for Celebrian.
