The quiet in the hall was deafening. No one from either side looked around the corner to where the other was camped. They're waiting for us to think they're gone.
"It's a Sith Tactic," Janice said. "Wait out your enemy, then when the're lulled into a false sense of security, catch them off guard and finish them off." She looked at Echo with her eyes misting. "Is this the end?"
Echo shook his head. "We have to hold out as long as we can. Ben needs time to--" his comlink vibrated in his breastpocket. He whipped it out and activated it. "Echo."
"Get the fireworks read--"
The rest of the communication was drownewd out by an ear-piercing shriek that could only come from one thing.
"We got some stingers, over."

Sareth barely heard Ben's comment above the roar of the engines. Kansas? What in the galaxy was Kansas? She made her way to the cockpit where watched as Carth and Ben steered. She wished she could be doing more to help, but they seemed to be managing.
For now.

((Joint post between me and SH.))
Echo heard a familiar sound. Not the sound of blasters, or of the clanking of Sith armor being hit, but the distinct sound and smell of a ship, and not the identical drones of the Sith "Stingers."
It was the sound of his frieghter, the Ebon Hawk. Outside the window, he saw the ion particles being drawn towards the guns, as it charged to fire.
"DOWN!" he yelled, slamming into the tiling. He heard Janice do the same.
"On your knees," said a Sith Trooper behind him. "You are to be--" His words were drowned out by the sound of the cannons dirlling through the windows, slicing through the troopers and breaking the barrier between Echo and his ship.
Echo pulled Janice to her feet and ran out to the open boarding ramp. The jump was only six feet, but it felt like an eternity before he felt the bulkhead against his feet.
He yelled, "Ben, get us the hell out of here, or you'll wish the Sith capture you before I get to you!"
Ben was sitting at the nose-pit, throttling the thrust as Carth entered the Hyperspace coordinates. As soon as the ship exited the atmosphere, the Leviaththian opened fire on Taris, and the explsions covered thier escape.
Ben got up from the Cockpit and walked over to the main hold, where teh others were talking, or sitting quietly.
"Okay, everyone," ben said, clasping his hands together. "I'm open to course suggestions, except for Granamor. That place is off limits."
Echo stroked Janice's head in his lap. she had fallen asleep from this drastic change in her routine, and she needed all the rest she could get.
"I believe that I own the ship we are currently flying in, so I thought that that was my descision."

"Yes know you are the captian and i respect your opinoin. And... Seareth, what's that?" Ben looked at Seareth and saw some green foam oozing from her leg. Ben yelled, "get down! Canderous get me the anti-toxin extracter!" Ben held her down and put the tube to the spot where the ooze was coming from and put the tube on it and pressed the buttion. There was a wooshing sound and a small creature in greeenish foam come into the tube, ben took the tube and emptyed it on the floor away from sareth and said "Someone shoot that thing!"
At the same time carth, canderous, and echo pulled out there blasters and shot at the same place. Where a small creature writhiring in slime was.....now a crater was in the hull. Ben took a glass tube filled with bubbleing seruem and pulled out a seryenge and filled it then injected sareth with it near the bite spot. "And what that was my jedi freind was rackghoul sickness stage 1. "That's how they multyply when they bite they inject you with there babies and slowly and painfully you become one of them."

Sareth went white. "I hadn't even realized I had been bitten." In a wavery voice that was barely a whisper she said, "How careless of me." She took a few moments to compose herself using a Jedi calming technique. "Thank you, Ben. Now, about our course." Sareth walked over to the nav computer. "I would suggest, Dantooine." She pointed it out. "Even Malak would think twice before attacking there. There is a Jed Academy there, as well as many powerful Jedi. We can't just keep running, we need rest and supplies."

Echo holster his blasters. ((He didn't like to be godmodded )) "That sounds reasonable. Dantooine is too remote to be considered a massive threat by the Sith, so that's a good a place as any. But I'll stay on the ship, thank you. I have a certain... phobia of people reading my mind, so count me out on visitation rights." He picked up Janice's sleeping form into his arms easily. She sighed and nudged closer to his chest. He blushed and brought her to the eastern dormitories. He set her gently on the bed in the corner, admiring her physique. She was a strong woman, yet, she looked like she was very sensitive. He kissed her on the forehead. "Sleep well, Janice. I love you." When he spoke the words, he felt he really meant it. He did love her. Dantooine was going to be a safe place, and maybe, their relationship would go up a level there. He thought about this, forgetting his speech earlier about Jedi reading his mind, and walked into the cockpit, plotting a course for Dantooine. ((Plz, read his mind, I'm leaving holes here for plots))

((*sniff* Sareth is too proper a Jedi to read anyone's mind without their permission))
I think we all need some of that, Sareth reflected. "Echo, she said, "would you like me to watch the ship while you get some rest?" It was the least she could do. He had helped immensely.
Edit: Ok, thread change.

"No, I'm fine. Thanks."
Echo thought a moment.
"Hey, Sareth, why aren't Jedi allowed to love? I mean, if you're all "Compassion and peace," what's stopping you from love? Besides, with all the Sith reproducing like Gizka, would it be so bad to have a few extra Jedi here and there?"
((changing))
