Hmmm, strange habits....
I find myself making up new alphabets in lessons... that's the only one I can think of right now. And when I'm eating something like a buffet, eventually I end up shoving everything on the plate into one big mess and shoving it into my mouth at once. No matter what's on the plate. Once I had a mixture of cucumber, ham, philadelphia, chocolate, more ham, and grapes.

(grins) So much fun! I started an original story (which I ended up scrapping because it had nothing to it), and made up an entire language for it...except I only have the series of characters now, sadly, and not the words.
I remembered another habit: I'll make random and frequently weird noises when on the computer. CR can attest to this. Snrk.

I snort when I laugh, and I crack th knuckle at the very base of the thumb, the one that is closest to the wrist.

Oh, I snort too. My friends can be quite disturbed by it.

I sometimes talk aloud when chatting on I'm. Usually it's just mumbling though, worst when I'm either very VERY IC or just randomly talking about amusing things. Most often the latter, because I'll be laughing so hard I have to say what I'm typing in order to get it out at my typical 70 WPM without making a bazillion mistakes.
And I hate writing without having a glass of water on my computer desk... that doesn't include foruming, but it does include RPing. Have to have water and to be able to get up and pace... snrk.
Gah... it's so ridiculously late. (falls over)

I was just about to say the same thing! (About me, of course.) I never noticed it until my little brother pointed it out to me... I always mouth/whisper what I'm typing. I can't help it! It can be really aggrivating in public, like at the library... and I WONDERED why they were staring at me...

Another strange habit - I collect knives.
Which really got me into trouble when we flew to New York, because I'd accidentally left one in my bag.

(cracks up, laughing) I can imagine, really...
I brush my teeth in the shower. Which is odd. But then I can get them clean without worrying about washing any stray stuff off my face when I'm done. That's probably my weirdest habit...

Say, my dad does that sometimes as well. (grins) Every now and then I'll find his toothbrush lying on one of the shower's shelves.
I caught myself making circle-type gestures yet again while trying to come up with words during a conversation. Almost always happens when they're free. At least it moves the air along so I can get more oxygen to my poor struggling brain. Snrk.

LOL! I think the speaking-as-one-types problem is a common one...I do that, too!
Also, at my house--yes, I'm telling on the whole family, now--it's not at all uncommon for three or four of us to start singing the same song at once... I think that's Mekka's fault, because she can sing something so softly that you believe you've started thinking of it on your own.

I feed all my animals in a certain order. I also take my showers in a certain order. First I rinse my hair, then I shampoo and while the shampoo is still in may hair I use soap. Then I rinse again. LOL, yea...I'm weird.

Heh...I shower in order, too. I can't remember ever changing it, really. First comes shampoo after the hair's wet, then rinse. Then I soap my face...rinse. Conditioner (if necessary, and with our hard water it usually is), more soap, rinse. The order's almost obsessive, come to think of it...

When I get nervous, I pick my nails. I've done it since I was a kid! And if I'm nervous and have no socks on... yeah, my toenails get the same treatment.
I also shower in order: first wet the hair, then shampoo, conditioner, myself...
And in the evening, I ALWAYS wash my face and put on moistuizer (I get dry skin if I don't), brush my teeth, and then take out my contacts. Always in that order.

Another, possibly the weirdest habit of them all - I psychoanalyze myself.
