Hmmm...looketh cool, Silv! ; )
I've been back at it for a week now. That means that after this weekend I actually get serious. LOL! I teach myself, but here's the "classes":
World Lit. British Lit. Chemistry Algebra II World History
I don't really consider the rest--piano lessons, debate club, vocabulary work, Spanish II review work, barn job, horseback riding lessons, homeschool group activies, self-inflicted art lessons--"classes". So, when I type it up, it doesn't look like a lot! *much encouraged* ;D My mummy's into schedules for the new year... It's kinda overwhelming to look at a piece of paper, and see that it knows what you'll be doing every hour of the day. Even more so when every hour is indeed filled... Like I say, I'm teaching myself at home, so I'm not used to all that. It's good, though...very satisfying to know what you should do when.
Yipe! Am I rambling? I'm rambling, am I not? *rambleramble* eheheh...

Wow, Joan-who's-not-Joan... that looks nearly identical to mine. 'Cept mine is... harder.
Discipleship British Literature Study Hall (thank God...) Math Lab (Algebra II) Chemistry US History Concert Band Advanced Placement Biology
AP Bio is painfully boring, due to the teacher who reminds me of Professor Binns, and Chem has sooooo much homework. I have four pages of straight math to do this week... *dies* I hate math. My AP Bio book, no joke, weighs at least ten pounds, and has 2,000 some pages. Bleh. But I have Brit Lit, so that makes me happy... we're doing Beowulf next week!! Woot!!!!

Yay for Beowulf! *cheers* I must finish that... Brit Lit is definitely going to be my favorite this year. It's a break from math, at the very leastest!
Hey, we should have a math-haters club! *plots* Yessssssssss...I'm definitely gonna look into that! ;D Chemistry for me is just another hour of tragic mathematical suffering...*dies dramtic death of trauma* LOL!

Geometry CP Biology CP English 2 CP US I Drivers Ed/Gym Accounting II French III Mixed Media
I am hoping not to take Geometry but, we will see... It stinks cause, I already took biology two years ago and I have to take it over again...

Here's what I'm taking:
Geometry/Algebra II English American Literature Debate Drama Vocabulary Physical Science/Biology Music American History
Ack... that looks like such a lot... but we started Monday, and it is going pretty well so far. I'm so happy about the drama, and I'm pushing for guitar lessons...

I would definitely love to take Biology again, rather than stupid physics and chemistry. Those two clases equal a whole lot of nothingness...or at least with the teacher I have. It's the same teacher I've had for two years. My Bio teacher was awesome. She had been a falconer for many years and she loves birds like me. I would spend whole lunch periods going up to her for extra help in the class but it was really and excuse to talk about birds. SHe was so great and I had like an 120 average at the end of the year. I don't think that's too possible in many classes.
I despised math last year. I had a weird teacher...who reminded me of someone and all year I couldn't figure out who it was she reminded me of. I would even go into these detailed daydreams wondering who she really was...because she definitely wasn't just a teacher. It was weird and she was weird and I didn't learn a whole lot in that class. I fell asleep a lot and luckily I sat in the back. She would also yell at me for talking when I wasn't even opening my mouth and then the next day she would realize she had made a mistake and make these very embarrassing apologies to me in front of the WHOLE class. Ugh, thank goodness she left. Myself and the poor boy who sat next to me were going nuts in her class.
Yes, Automatic (I'm not quite sure anyone is quite themselves these days),
How are you teaching yourself? Is it like homeschool but instead of your mom teaching you, you are doing it yourself? That's pretty cool. I would like to do that, but I'm afraid I would go nuts from being around my family all the time. I should set up a classroom in my barn...*ponders*
Stupid Physics lab takes up a whole period slot in my schedule. I have two days of lab a week and the other three are study halls. Whiche stinks big time because I could really be using that period for another class. Instead I go to the ag science room and sit there so I can get credit for being in FFA. It's actually pretty nice. There are computers and this year my friend has the same lab periods as myself. We'll be on the coputers to wreak havoc at the same time...
I will be able to take psychology next year! I'm excited! *is excited* There's not too many good choices of classes left. I took art my last two years and it has been ok, but not what I like in art. I like to do my own thing. Creative writing was one of my favorite classes but there are no more classes for this. *cry* I don't really think I'm into a home economics or that crazy class where you learn about keeping a house and you have to carry around this stupid doll that cries all the time. Yuck.

How are you able to have so few classes? It seems like I have so many with 8 periods! Are you a senior?

Dear Lord... even if you are a Senior, my classes will be so much more complex than that... man.
Our schedule is so screwed this year. We have block on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but it's not the same block.. *dies* Tuesdays it goes... umm... 1st 3rd 5th 7th... I think... and Thursdays it's 2nd 4th 6th 8th... *dies* That's and Hour and a Half for everyone of my classes. An hour and a half of AP Bio is torture. Chem isn't so bad, because we get half of the time to do our homework, which is all math, but it's still a long time to sit in a metal chair.
I wanted Drama so bad this year.. it was in a period last year where I had a required class, so I couldn't take it. Then, this year, our drama teacher had to leave because he has a whole bunch of classes to take to teach it, since we're getting state Accredidation this year. So I don't get it this year, either!!! *dies* It sucks, majorly. Hopefully Weeks'll be back by next year, though. I'll die if he's not...

Well, there's five classes a day, about 1 hr each. Nothing too rushed. The first semester I have a spare for Gym credits.
I'm not sure how similar the US system is to Canada's.

I absolutely dread some parts of those basic courses...they're just so basic and boring! You might have a different reason, though.

Heh. My complex class is boring. Advanced Placement, College Entrance-Level class... *dies* And the teacher is so boring that we're all going to fail the stupid $75 AP test at the end of the year.

I have a Shakespearian Natzi for an English teacher this year. Ugh.
That's right CR, I forgot you're in Canada. I'm all the way over here in NJ. how long are your school days? They seem like they would be shorter.
Honors classes in our school are... complex...most of the time. It depends on the teacher. English will be hard this year, as will physics honors and I have a feeling math may be too, but my teacher will be awesome, or so I've heard. History honors is a breeze, mostly because we have awesome teachers. Gym is stupid and so is health. At least health is an excuse to do nothing for 40 minutes, seeing as how we learn the same exact stuff in health EVERY year since 3rd grade. At least I will get a nice midday nap...

LOL.. I take drivers ed which will be a lot of fun.. Gym, I stand there and watch everyone.. I am hoping to get the same gym teacher as last year, cause he was cool.. I could do anything to him and he wouldn't do anything.. I pushed him and hit him and tried everything I could to get him mad but, it didn't work.. I tried annoying him too but, that failed.. I take College Prep courses instead of Honors... I guess it is easy.. I am not sure.. I don't pay attention much cause, i daydream a lot...

Our school days are from 9:00 to 3:45. There's 3 breaks. First one is 10 mins. Next one is for lunch, which is 1hr. Last break is 5 minutes. At least I think that's how it is... I can remember too well after 2 months of summer. lol!

Not fair. We have three minutes between classes, and less than a half hour for lunch... Gah.
