Hey, guys... I haven't ever posted a prayer request here before. I'm not really sure why. But this one... I really need you guys to pray.
The father of one of my good friends just died of lung cancer. "Talia" is 14, the oldest of four children, and a sweet, wonderful Christian girl. Just talking to her you would never know anything was wrong. Until you hear her daddy just died.
He was a Christian. Praise the Lord for that!!! And I know this is all in God's hands... but would you please pray for Talia and her family?

[glow=red,2,300]Of course I shall, Child of Zion. I know all too well what she's going through: my dad died a year ago in February. That's why I haven't been posting here in a while: I've had to help my family and look after my little sisters. Saint Patrick's Day will also be a painful reminder that my hero is gone. But at least I know he's with Jesus Christ in Heaven. Tonight I will include everyone's prayer intentions on this board in my own prayers.
Here is a helpful prayer that we recite at my church for those who have died:
For the Repose of Christian Souls
Eternal rest grant them O Lord
And let purpetual light shine upon them
May they rest in peace
May their souls
And all the souls
Of all the faithful departed
Through the mercy of God
Rest in peace
Amen [/glow]

I will pray for both you and Talia. And, Child of Zion, for you to know what to say to her.

one of my friends really needs some prayer, he told methat he'd rather go to hell than heaven, and that he thought that heaven was going to be worse than hell. he's been doubting a lot lately. it made me feel so grieved to hear this, but I'm still glad he chose to tell me. I'm trying to comfort him, and help him through this tough stage in his faith, but I just don't know what to do. please pray for him.

I'm sorry Jareth. I know exactly what you mean. Keep praying... and we'll pray along with you.

Oh, I do know sort of how your friend feels, Jareth... *grimaces* But yeah. Pray for me... and stuff. I think I've been spending too much time online and it's frying my brain... and I've got a cold at the moment, so the fried brain doesn't do so well...
Yeah.
And my great-grandpa fell and broke his elbow up in six places, I think it was... he's in the hospital now.

Ok, let's see. I guess I could request a prayer. Haven't before, but this has been bothering me for awhile.
My friend and I are both bringing our horses to stay at the fair Sunday. We will competing in shows and what not. However, my friend's horse has a slight bucking problem. I have just been hoping and praying that his horse doesn't decide to buck him off. He hasn't fallen yet and he's kind of in denial that he will. I joke about him falling, but I'd hate to see him get hurt. I'd hate for anyone to get hurt falling off a horse this coming week.
Anyway, could you guys also pray that everything goes right this coming fair week? My friends and I have been preparing for this week for a long time and mI hope that nothing goes wrong. I pray that no animals get injured or suffer from the heat and also that no humans get hurt either (Last year this one kid got a long gash in his head because another kid threw a rock at him)
Thanks for anyone who helps me out with the praying. I feel better if I at least pray for my friends. IDK, I guess I just feel more secure that way, mentally at least.

Oh, owie. I'll pray for you, certainly. And just because you're not a Christian doesn't mean you can't ask for prayer. I'll pray for your fair. Ours is coming up sometimes soon too...

"And just because you're not a Christian doesn't mean you can't ask for prayer. "
Just for the record: I am Christian...Catholic actually. I'm a Catholic anomaly. Hehehe, different, as I've always been.
Thanks for your prayers though, I appreciate it. Hopefully everything goes well.

(grins) Well, it just appeared that was why you were loath to ask for prayer. Just checking, of course. I'm praying for you. I like horses.

No problem. Falling form a horse is dangerous. Is this fair a part of 4-H by any chance?

Yes, it is almost all 4-H as far as animals go. There are some FFA booths and buildings, but they don't really show any animals.
Heh, my friend didn't fall this week, which was good, but I did. I didn't get hurt and it was mostly my fault because I was tired and didn't want to do the show. You can read more about it in the "Answered Prayers" post.

Oooo... *has fallen off a horse* Sorry 'bout that.
I'm going to be working at yet another camp this week, doing puppets and chapels with my best friend's dad. It's going to be a pretty relaxed week, but I've been spending a little too much time with little children this summer, and it's starting to wear on my nerves just a little. So if you would pray for me to be patient with these kids, that would be great. Thanks, guys.

Little kids, I feel your pain. I can never keep my patience with them, yet I baby sit little kids almost every other weekend and I watch a young boy every day after school. Sad isn't it? Good luck working at the camp!

Well, I didn't know this existed.. The people that I am about to ask for you to pray for are not actually blood related but, very very close and dear to me.. I would like you to pray for my
Aunt Dorothy.. She went through heart surgery last week and she is not doing well and two days ago they had to put a pace maker in her to help her heart beat a little faster.. I am praying for her to get better..
The other person is her mother ^... Her health is failing.. She can't walk on her own and isn't doing well.. I am also praying for her to get well again..
I would very much appreciate it.. Thanks.. Spazzy
