BUT

All other things being equal--assuming the guys and girls are equally in love with Jesus and neither group is very shy--guys who are Christians tend to show their seriousness more, by discussing issues, getting into debates, and caring about theological details. A big part of it is that a random group of guys is more likely to just start discussing things than a random group of girls...the girls are too busy looking for their clique, or being nervous about what the other girls will think about them. ((This is one of the reasons that I spend more time talking with guys than with girls)) That's just in the folks that I know, though...

I really don't know. With my YG, it's hard to tell. The guys don't really show alot of devotion to God on a regular basis, but when one of them decides to let it out, they have generated some really good veiw points. But then, the girls are like that as well. It's really a personality thing in my church. It all depends on their personality.

Depends on age, too. That's a huge part of it. With the adults in my church, it's usually the women who will get more involved with things like intercession and potlucks, etc. But no one can look at that and say the men aren't serious about their faith because they're less involved with some things...it's hard to tell, generally. I can't vote.

I WON'T vote... it's not gender or age... or any of that... though that plays a big part in it. It's spiritual gifts that play the big role in it all. XD.

Both can be equall in their faith.
I've seen both males and females Highly into their Faith in Jesus Christ.
It really only depends on the person. So the question is: Are YOU serious about your faith?

not necessarily.. Jesus said we must have faith like a child. I guess it's not really how old you are, just how close you are to Him, and how you carry out His will.

I've seen both males and females very much into their beliefs in faith. I don't think it has much to do with gender, but rather with personality. I think this generally applies to ANY faith, not just christianity.

i think that out of our nature, girls tend to be more introversial, and can connect spiritually better, simply because GOd created us to be more emotionally out there. However, i am not saying guys can't have deep faith too, it's just easier for girls to connect and get the mindset of prayer. i think.

Yah, in fact I probably know more men that are deeper in their faith. I do no think that girls can connect better. That doesnot make sense to me.

I think it depends on how you're raised, a lot of the time... girls are more thoughtful, I think, whereas more men are willing to get up and be ready and rearing to go.

I'm not really sure that women connect better then men do bacuase I think men have a better connection with God because they can go farther into that connection then women can. Not that women can't have a deep vocation with God, I just think that men can take their vocation farther even though women can become nuns they can never concercrate the Holy Eucharist like Priests can. NO offense to the women here.

I think Satan practices equal opportunity corruption. Both genders are created with spiritual advantages over the other, sure. But they're two equal halves of a greater whole.

Men have the privilege and responsibility of being leaders, protectors, and initiators, both physically and spiritually. Women are created to be followers, supporters, and anchors in the same way. We see this biblically, and played out in everything from personalities to biological cycles. The synergy of the two is an allegory to Christ's relationship with the Church herself.

That said, I voted female, but not for the reasons The Seeker may have had in mind. The Church, as the Bride of Christ, is inherently female. One day we'll all be part of the wedding supper of the Lamb, the end of history and the beginning of eternity. Hard for me (as a guy) to get my brain around, but there it is.

I agree with Sallowpad. Each gender has a God given role to play, but we are both part of the whole. As for spiritual strengths and weaknesses, they lie within the individual. I know on-fire Christian guys and on-fire Christian girls, and I didn't see it as a gender thing, just a Jesus thing.

I can't say I agree that women were made to follow. I grew up in a family where both men and women have equal opportunities. Perhaps in the past most cultures saw women as weaker, but that certainly doesn't mean all women were followers. In fact, in many cultures women led.

I do think both men and women can be just as deeply connected with their faith, however I think women are a little more willing to show it. Females release more while males tend to hold things in.
