Yep, many do. At first it was a very original thing, but now it's gone the way of the Sue itself...i;ve got a fic that deals with 'fic otherwise that no one's read! GRR! *searches for link*

(muses) There was an absolutely hilarious LotR fanfic that I read on FFN.net about a year back, having to do with Varda playing against Morgoth in this sort of chess game, where he set up a Mary-Sue and she found a way to eliminate said Sue. It was bang-on and brilliant. I just wish I could find it... (goes off to look again) EDIT: Several minutes later... AHA!!! Yeah, it has nothing to do with Star Wars, except for the fact that SW fanfics also are plagued incessantly by the awful Sues. As a previous warning: it's got a teen rating, for those who want to avoid such things. ...So I've written a few Sues. (grins wickedly) Doesn't mean I can't still refuse to read them.

Why does it have a teen rating?

Teen rating for violence/gore. There are a couple of other things I don't agree with. But this author is a genius, nevertheless...heh.

I have abosolutely nothing of merit to say, bar that I probably won't ever have time to read the stupid fic... (sighs) Not that it's stupid, just my lack of time is.

Put in AOTC (preferably on DVD), skip to the part where Jango and Macey are dueling. When Macey chops Jango's head off, slow it down.
Notice the shadows when the helmet's flying. YOu shall see the one become 2 round shadows. One lands - the helmet - the other goes offscreen - the head.
I've seen that movie too many times, and I didn't notice it until now...

(grins) Yes, the flying shadow. Oh! Which reminds me!! When I went to see RotS in theatres (third viewing of mine) with Tiana and the Empress Adrienne, I noticed something...I could have been wrong, but I don't think I was... There's the camera view with the Naboo cruiser taking off from Mustafar's surface after the big duel and the dragging of Padmé inside, etc. One of the flame-spouty things to the right of the screen moves into the shape of Vader's mask for a moment. Wooooo...it was so cool.

Yes! Cake for Hamill! And then...SW MARATHON!!! (cackles madly)
By the way...I also think Stover r0x0rs. He really knows how to get inside a character's head. Must...get...ROTS...paperback...when it comes out. In October. I'm too cheap to get a hardcover that isn't on sale. Heh.

I only read Shatterpoint once but it was pretty awesome. He does know how to be people. His 'this is how it feels to be Anakin..' pieces. They are pretty powerful. He has *gasp* factor down pat. Cake for Hamill! lol Oooh...marathon'd be a good idea if i hadn't watched TPM and it's 'making of' like a billion times in the pazt to see the fight scenes with Ray Park...
