VIVE LA MIS! VIVE LA ABC! VIVE L'Emperor!
I"m a mizzie fan too. ENJY ROCKS!
I didn't like the Liam Neeson version too much. My mom had at apalling gall to suggest the Valjean took care of Fantoine only because she was selling herself to him. I was completelty angry and disgusted. Valjean would NEVER take advantage of a poor woman! How dare she think such evil thoughts!!!!!

Syntax isn't exactly right, but if you say it fast enough.
I heard this when I was having a really hard time. It made me look at things a different way, even for little while. From the Bon Jovi "Have a Nice Day" album. I recommend it.
"Welcome To Wherever You Are"
Maybe we're different, but we're still the same We all got the blood of Eden, running through our veins I know sometimes it's hard for you to see You come between just who you are and who you wanna be
If you feel alone, and lost and need a friend Remember every new beginning, is some beginning's end
[Chorus] Welcome to wherever you are This is your life, you made it this far Welcome, you gotta believe That right here right now, you're exactly where you're supposed to be Welcome, to wherever you are
When everybody's in, and you're left out And you feel your drowning, in a shadow of a doubt Everyones a miracle in their own way Just listen to yourself, not what other people say
When it seems you're lost, alone and feeling down Remember everybody's different Just take a look around
[Chorus]
Be who you want to, be who you are Everyones a hero, everyones a star
When you wanna give up, and your hearts about to break Remember that you're perfect, God makes no mistakes
[Chorus]

hehe.... yes.
The story behind why this is such a big thing for me is that before my Mom knew she was going to have me, she and Dad went to see Les Miserables in Boston. They found out later that day that I was going to come along in a few months. So it's part of my blood. Some kids listened to Motzart in the womb - I had Les Mis. Who got the better deal?
Anybody want to buy a duck?

Review: Les Miserables, performed by the Palace Theater Youth, aged 13 -18
Jean Valjean: Quite good, was casted well. Could hear Colm Wilkinson's influence on him, especially in "Bring Him Home". Not an easy role to sing or play, but the kid made it believable.
Javert: My favorite. A good contrast to Valjean. Fit the role physically- very tall and straight, strict demeanor, mentally- perfect inflections, gestures, and vocally - a deep, smooth, strong baritone. Looked like chocolate, sounded like chocolate. Incredibly convincing - I sense a good career in store for him.
Bishop/Granitare: Quite good. Tenor. Smooth.
Fantine: Bit of a stereo. Very pretty, not too smooth a voice, but had a gentle quality to it. MUCH better than some of the other Fantines I've heard.
Thernardier: THE Master of the House. Zees guy was ze best I ave eveare eard or zeen!! Strong voice, believable acting, neat- and only - French accent that really made the character, downright HILARIOUS!!! Great choreography for MotH. I would go just to see that one sequence again. Every body raise a glass to the master of the house!
Mme. Thernardier: True to the book, the actress was - a nasty jealous possessive innkeeperess. Fit the role incredibly well. She was one of the better girls, good voice, great acting!!! Hope the actress gets her prince!
Little Cosette: Soprano, but not too high. Good, for the small amount of time she was onstage. Looked like Big Cosette... only smaller.
Marius: Typical Marius. Good actor, his voice was a little scratchy and not too strong, but clear when needed. Not something that could be helped. Excellent job on his solo, and the very difficult 3 way songs he is in.
Eponine: My favorite female, aside from Mme Thernardier. Pure alto, full, deep, strong, liquid. Good actress, superb voice. Another career in the making?
Cosette: Standard Cosette. All the typical casted kids are very, very good for their ages. She was better than the Les Mis video with Judy Kuhn. Looked like little Cosette - again, acccurate casting.
Enjorlas: Good. He's a difficult role to play - this kid wasn't a stereotype, tho, which made it different. His voice was cracking - felt kind of bad for him, he would have done so much better singing if it wasn't.
Gavroche: Too well casted. Blonde soprano. Thought he was a she. Very good. Died in a sad manner - couldn't his friends've dragged him over the barricade just a little farther??
Ensemble: Some excellent voices in there, which made me wonder why they weren't casted as leads. A few too many sopranos - they tended to wash out other voices. The students were awesome - not perfect, but not overly flawed either.
Other: Sets were cool, the "ghost screen" during Marius's "Empty Chairs" was a great touch, as were the stars that went out too soon during Javert's "Stars" (which, sadly, was cut short). The costumes were great, the sound kept cutting out occasionally, but some voices didn't need it. Some of the songs were abridged, which was a bummer, but it's probably good, or else we'd've been there longer - which might have been a good thing. We had GREAT seats. Tickets were perfectly priced for our range. Wonderful theater.
Overall: 5 of 5 stars, 100%, on a scale of 1 to 10, 1000. My only regret: that it was only for one night.
Kudos to you all, actors and otherwise!! You deserve it!!!

Me: Don't insult the freaks.
Something about the first snowfall that makes you feel good. All cozy and warm and happy. I plunked down in the snow (had to wear a hat b/c my hair's really short now) and stared up at the blue blue sky and the trees touched with gold.... Wow... I've never seen anything like it. Just... wow...
Then I went in, stuffed my face some more with turkey and sugary stuff, and watched Madagascar - BAD move. I like to move it move it.... Yeah....
Happy turkey day to y'all. And happy start of the most commercial season ever - gah. I hate it! Charlie Brown and Linus would burst into tears if they saw what this holiday has turned into - and how they're being used in it!!! It makes me sick how commercial it is, how greedy people - and stores!! - are.
Do us all a favor - yourselves included - cut back on the commercial Christmas crap. Make it a giving season, no a me time. And no political correctness. Say Merry Christmas to all, and let them say Happy Hannukah or happy Kwannza back.

A friend - who you've talked to almost regularly until this point - hasn't talked to you for almost a month. Has made no attempt to contact you. At all. Period.
Imagine - what could be going thru your head? Is she mad at me? Does she hate me? Am I annoying? Is it something I said, something I did, something I didn't do? Or.... ... Could I possibly be boring?
The first time, you think ' OK, maybe she's busy. Or she forgot. Or something's wrong. She'll call next week.'
One week later... You're just mad.
No email, saying 'Oh sorry, I was busy/ I forgot, I'll call you later.' Zilch. NOTHING. AND no phone call.
You don't understand - WHY? Obviously, they don't understand how much it means to you to have a conversation for an hour once a week. Obviously, they're just an arrogant snothead who doesn't respect you at all, whether they're trying to be or not. Obviously, they're hurting you whether they know it - or care - or not. So, you'll just ignore them.
Next time they should call, you intentionally keep the line busy. If they don't think you're worth their time, their defintely not worth yours. You think you're strong.
Then you realize - you're doing exactly what they want you to do : staying away. That you're the weak one.
So you make the first move.
Are you mad at me or not? Treat me like a person, a real person with feeling and a life and my own background and personality, like it or not. Realize that you're just being arrogant hurtful inconsiderate and selfish if you can tell me you have a problem with me - to my face. Realize you're not the only person who matters in this world. Sometimes you have to do things you don't like. Get used to it. Talk to me about this. If we can resolve this and still be friends, fine. If not... Oh well. Your loss. But give me a reason why.

I want a life. Does anyone know where I can find one?
I want a friend. Can someone tell me if there's anyone I can trust?
I want someone to tell me I'm everything to them. Will I ever hear those words?
I need respect. Will they ever see me as more than what I appear to be?
No. Never. None of it is true. ----------------------------------
I love the Germans. They gave us some awesome Christmas traditions - trees, wreaths, good food, beautiful songs, candles in the window. A nice legacy.

Note to self: Type up the Jar Jar Symbolism essay and post it. (Note to everyone else: It's a serious essay, for once. I did it for schoolwork.)
Note to self: Eventually post review of Star Wars Where Science Meets Imagination Exhibit we went to. *drools over models and lightsabers* *yawns over real technology I already knew about* *decides it could have been cooler and have been better organized*
Note to self: Don't turn amp up quite so loud next time.....
