I heard a comment from Shandalf about a thread like this, although I think it was sarcastic, I still liked the idea. "let's hear it for the boys!!!"

Um, Yippe! Without obi-wan, luke would not have become a Jedi, and if Luke hadn't become a Jedi, there would be no more Jedi!

Actually, it wasn't sarcastic at all...
My two favourite (human) Jedi. WOO-HOO!! Obi-Wan had been my favourite SW character ever since I first saw the OT. That could largely owe to the late but dear Sir Alec Guinness' pure acting genius, of course. And I will forever sympathise with Luke's Hopelessly Romantic nature. (cackles) Binary sunset. Need I say more.

Nope, not at all.
How sweet it is, when we find we can actually connect with the protagonist character(s)! The way it was meant to be!

yez, tis a very well heroic plot. I always was a Luke fan--translation: Jedi fan when you've only seen the OT. Obi is cooler in the PT, but the thing is you find out how he got where he is and this makes him cooler. I dislike people who bash the OT for the non-Hollywood "looking" actors.

(dies) I'm sorry. That comment on "-_-;" cracked me up... I started thinking about jacking my Master in.
(sighs) She's still my Master, even if she doesn't really think of me as her Padawan anymore. (dramatic sigh)
I like LUKIE! YAY! (cough) I've been a Luke fan since before I had ever seen most of the OT... see, I seen TPM then AotC but I was young and forgot most of the details, beyond Qui-Gon, Darth Maul, and lightsabers. I thought AotC Obi-Wan's reference to the dead Jedi to the cloners was talking about Qui-Gon...
And then I ended up seeing about half of ANH and became a complete Luke fan, even though I loved him anyway, just from seeing a couple extra features somewhere else... and seeing RotJ cliched it. Yes, I seen RotJ first in completion of the OT... (sigh) Pain... Jandalf freaked out on learning I hadn't ever seen ANH. I didn't see it until MEI had existed for about, I don't know, three months... augh... I still like Luke as a character... (rambling)
