Whoah, this thread is seeing some action! Sorry I didn't come here sooner. Anyways, I think they are both good books, BUT you have to be the kind of person to like such books. Understand my logic? It's undeniable.
I personally like Snape. I have reason for this though. I had a teacher who was exactly like Snape. She, yes she, even looked like Snape. On Halloween one year she dressed up in this black wizard robe...it was pretty freaky. I always liked to read about Snape's evil (Even though he's not that evil) and compare him to the teacher I had. Not to mention I like the actor (Not liked like, just thought he was cool) because he was the same guy who played Alexander in Galaxy Quest. Some cool people were in that movie.
I tend to like people who are secretly evil, or who appear to be evil but are really not. [shrugs] I don't really know why.

Yeah, and lucky. No one could have survived half of the stuff he did, even if they did have luck. 'Tis just too unrealistic for my critical mind. you guys are all full of sithspit. who cares about the difference between That weird kid with the glasses... what's his name? Peeves: Potty Wee Rotter. and lord of the rings? their both good books, thats it. it shouldnt go further. maybe movies, but you guys shouldnt be obsessed with this stuff. like dont waste your like learning elvish or dressing up in capes an such. Ahhh... I love it when people jump at people like me like that. Cracks me up, to tell you the truth... If you'd read back, you will see my arguments for both of these books. I love them both, if LotR a little more. And I only know one or two phrases in Elvish (Sindarin... *winks*). And That weird kid with the glasses... what's his name? Peeves: Potty Wee Rotter. people dress up, as well. And worse... And, if we're going to be arguing about books... then, well, Tad Williams wipes J.K. Rowling clear off the board... and comes close to Tolkien. The point of this thread is more a jovial discussion. We're not really arguing. Though it may seem like it, we're just screwing around for fun. And I can be obsessed with whatever I want, thank you very much. Snrk.

Um... we care? Looks like somebody didn't read the rules here. I am notifying an admin. You've blantly flamed and sworn (I can tell by the obvious misuse of sithspit indicating the cencors having stepped in). Both go against the rules of this site, which our beloved admins will tell you they make a point of keeping 100% friendly if at all possible. That involves member cooperation. They may be books, and we know that. We know Middle-earth isn't real, and I know I'm not forcesensitive. A good thing, otherwise I'd probably be tempted to force-choke something now. Obsession is good for the brain. It gives us something to do with our unseemingly amounts of free time. If we want to spend our hard earned mony to buy 8 yards of broadcloth to sew a cloak, that's our business, and if you don't believe in it, you can either politely tell us, or use it as a way to hopefully remove some of the earwax that has obviously prevented you from hearing the clearly stated rules. If you don't believe in obsession, you shouldn't be here, as this is an obsessive site. Wearing cloaks isn't so bad, at least they've done that in Earth history. It's just like one big history lesson. However, if I broke into NASA and stole a rocket in an attempt to immitate Luke Skywalker that might be different.

Flaming rules are as follows. Three strikes and you're out. Flame again, and you get a tempa ban. Flame after that, you're perma banned.
I should stick a warning in your title now for two dirogitory posts...
[/admin]
I like LotR better. Heh. HP just... bothers me.

All righty, crookshanks. This is your first admin warning out of three. At this rate, you'll be out of here by your sixth post, so I suggest you take the rules into consideration, and we'll all be happy. After all, the rules are here because we want to keep ourselves as a community, and not as a wampa-eat-wampa faction-split all-out warground. I think you get the idea.

Wow... I managed to get two admins on my case within a half hour... ya don't think you could make me a gmod or something so I don't always have to yell at you when I need official help?

Hehe, I think Crookshanks needs to learn how to spell before he/she attempts to post something like this again.
I dressed up as Paprika the purple wizard from Ravenclaw once and I won the Semi Finals in the competition. So Ha! I got a cool hat. I've also dressed up as a pirate from POTC many times and I ENJOY doing it. I am OBSESSED with many things, but you know what? I can see now that you have become obsessed with trolling on the ME:I. SO don't say any of us are obsessed...
Ok, I'm done now.

Its called tattle-taling.. It is for little immature people..Thats what I hate about some people.. Lets get someone in trouble because we have nothing to do! Woopdido! *shudders* Hate immature people even if they are old enough not to be...
Annyways, i will have to read the book and see how different it is.. I mean maybe they are equal but, I can't judge LoTR without reading it..

You're accusing me of tattletailing to prevent flaming. Jeez, thanks. Maybe you'd rather it got to the point where an admin stepped in first.

Whoah... Spazz, I must admit. That was a flame-ridden post. Careful, mate...
*finds it really amusing that she was the 'nice one'* Okay, so that never happens... I'm usually the 'All right, I'm sick and tired of you swearing, because it only makes you sound stupid.' kind of person... Apparently I'm getting a little lax. Meh.

Spaz, check your PMs. You should be careful who you intentionally tick off, you know. Because flaming for no reason at all is just as bad as tattling... the only difference is that tattling gets things done.

All right, all right, give it a rest! Spaz, you have your PMed explanation and warning, Shadow, you have yours.
I'll post now that I appreciate the tattling because it prevents all out flamewars, but if you two are going to flame each other over it, I have no qualms in tempa-bans and/or warnings in PTs. Shadow's right. It's better to have a normal member stop things before I have to, because either Jandalf or I having to invoke our admin rights generally leads to rather nasty happenings. Aka, shadowsaber's banning, several warnings given... I believe Spaz, you've been the target of a warning once already. Shadow, you haven't yet... but I wouldn't want to have to warn either of you, and I will, if I have to. You two both generally make decent posts.
Needless to say, to everyone, cut the flaming out, or this thread will be locked. I hate to have to post the threat and add the tone of impending doom over this thread, but if I have to (which it seems I now do) I will.
You two, smarten up and act your ages, or you'll both be in trouble. I keep this site the way it is for a reason. And if you guys don't cooperate, it'll become no worse than Jedi.net or barrowdowns or any of those other sites in which flaming frequents and people get hurt.
Anyway.
Back on target. If I see another post concerning this flaming issue... [/impending and obvious threat]
*grins* I place the real Duncariel in modship of this thread. Listen to her or else. If you don't, she will PM me, RIGHT? (hopes) Thank you... that is all...
