Heh heh... I've spent the whole last week in my car... tempted to spike the wheels just so that I can't drive... BUT I HAVE TO!!! *dies from too much Volleyball and Copy Shoppeing*
They didn't have War of the Flowers at Barnes & Noble today. I have to wait 5 - 10 days before it gets in... gah.

Speaking of cars, I drove the truck around the Gettysburg campground all by me self this past week. I felt special. Hey, I am special, even if the trip in the car was only to the bathrooms, which where about 100 feet away...maybe a tad further.
I'm still debating whether or not I will be ready to drive. I go for my test Feb. 6th I believe. I can pull trailers, back up, do K turns, and just about every other crazy thing that my dad has taught me, but I still get nervous in parking lots. Oh, and I'm convinced I can't do parallel parking, but I think I'll get through the test ok.
And then there's that small detail of actually buying a car.

I have a car. It was 500 dollars... heh. I really want my superintendent's fully restored Thunderbird *drools* but that's not going to happen in a million years.

Gasp! Lucky! I have to wait two weeks for everything I order...but then I guess that's just one of them things about living in the Great White North. Snrk.
Hmmm...actually, Silver, parallel parking isn't too bad. During lessons, anyway. It comes fairly quickly for most people. Only I haven't done it for about two years now, and I completely lost all knowledge of how to pull it off. Good thing I don't live in a big city. Heh.
Buying a car is like buying a computer, except worse...it sits there and laughs at you as it guzzles gas and degrades in value. (sighs) Isn't it terrible how we want cars so badly?

I offered to do his autopsy free for him when he dies... 'cause that's possibly the line of work I'd go into. Either that or work in the copy shop 24 hours a day until I die.... 5.15 an hour just isn't that much.

Autopsy, eh? (grins) Not bad. Maybe you could get him to leave you his car in his will, then. Heeheehee.

When I went for my driver's test, they didn't make me parallel park. I don't live in a big enough city to really have to worry about it, though.
My car and my computer work on the same frequency. Occasionally they behave and work, but most of the time, random things go wrong...

Yea, I get my permit in February and my friend who recently got her liscense told me where to go to get my license because they don't make u parallel park or anything.. I am nervous about driving in a car cause, I don't like running over animals.. It is so mean adn everytime my Mom runs one over I start crying and everyhting... She is worried that i will crash my car..

Heh... I haven't really hit any animals. I might have hit a squirrel, but we're not sure. And that wasn't my fault, it ran out in front of me, thank you very much. I have hit a car, but there was nobody in the house it was parked in front of, and I didn't even dent it, so it wasn't a huge thing... 'cept, I just discovered that my bumper is all screwed up, and my parents are freaked out about somebody hitting me. 'Cept it was me who broke it... and I never told them... 'cause I didn't notice it two months ago when it happened. Little late, now....

Whoa, well, I can't stand to hit animals.. It will be scary when I start driving.. *grabs megaphone and yells EVERYONE OFF THE ROAD!! SPAZZY IS COMING!!* Silver, I know you would know this but, when can we get our drivers license? Is it 17 or 18 or what?!

You see, I was taught how to parallel park when I had my driving lessons to get my permit. It's a pointless thing to have to do, but good to know I suppose. I can do it, it just takes me awhile to figure out which way to turn the wheel and when to put the blinker on.
Spaz, if you have your permit already you are already signed up for a test on your 17th birthday. You test will be at whatever driving school you took your lessons at. If you want to take the test some where else, you have call up the place and have you parents go in and change the dates of the test.

Ah, see I won't have my permit until February so, is it still 17? I am taking Drivers Ed. in school so, then would I really need to take lessons??

Haven't taken driver's Ed, but have driven!!! Nearly put my Darth Dad thru a mailbox....
Spazzy, I think if you're in the US, then at 18 (at least I think it's 18), you don't have to have taken driver's ed to get a license.

Heh.. in Montana (which is in the US, for those misinformed people out there), once you're sixteen you don't have to take it. That may change soon, though. I've had my (non-graduated... pbbbbbth) liscense for nearly two years now. Haha...
My brother probably won't get his until he's at least seventeen, because he's just too busy for Driver's Ed. Heh... sucker.

That is just ASKING for it... (cringes) Remind me not to drive in the US for another twenty years or so.
I haven't hit any animals...yet...but I consider it to be just another one of those means that nature has adapted to for the matter of gene selection. Snrk. Although fog really gets the poor critters. I counted four skunks on the way to work that one morning when it was really foggy this week. No, I didn't SEE them...not until the way back, anyway. There were several rabbits and cats besides. Oy. But I've seen roadkill ranging from rabbits to gophers to dogs to porcupines to badgers...
Yes, badgers...

We get a lot of skunks and porcupines... heh. You don't want to run those over more than once. And deer.. I counted fifteen dead deer in a four and a half mile radius last summer. It's really sad, but there are so many where I live.
I think the 16 thing is just in Montana... and maybe one other state. So I wouldn't worry too much. Snrk. Just stay out of the Bitteroot, and you'll be fine.
