If I don't seem to care, I really probably do, but don't know what to say, when it comes to death. (hugs ED) Oddly, it is exactly the same for me. I do care, really, I just don't show it because I don't really know how to. I am a girl of few words, and those words are most often "I'm so sorry." So, yeah... It's not that I don't care, I do. I just... have a difficult time putting my feelings into words...

It is really hard to sympathise when it comes to losing someone from the family or a friend. I've lost three great-grandparents and two grandparents while I've been alive, and it's still so difficult to reach out. It's not as though I don't feel anything - I still miss my grandpa, and he died almost five years ago now. I've found the most I have to offer for comfort is prayer and just being there. Those two things meant the world to me when I was still grieving, more than any sympathetic speech, nice as they are to hear. It's true what they say, though, that after a while you begin to remember them in life, and I'm thankful I was able to spend as much time with my grandpa as I did.

Ditto all that stuff. There haven't been any very close deaths in my family -- a few near ones, including my own, but that doesn't really count. I've been a party to so many others -- friends of friends.... stuff like that.
There was a bus accident at our school... five or six years ago. I was in Junior High, and didn't really know the boy who died, but he was an incredible kid. I remember getting the call from one of my friends whose brother was in that class (three years above me), and sitting in my living room just staring at the wall. I had been skiing that day, and didn't think it was fair that I had been having a great day, and this kid had been killed. The whole school was shocked, and it was heartbreaking. It's still a soft spot, after all of these years. Two of the awesomest teachers ended up leaving last year because it was still too close to home, and they just couldn't stand it any longer. They played this song, by MercyMe, called "I Can Only Imagine" at his funeral, and now, every time I hear it, it still makes me cry.
I don't really know what the point of relating all that was, but I guess I just want to say that I care. I know I've never actually seen or talked to any of you guys, and chances are I probably never will, but I love you all...

When my uncle died, they played his favorite Creed song, "Higher", and now whenever I hear that song I think about him. Songs always seem to bring it home, and not just when it comes to funerals and stuff... It's like, someone plays a song that's totally you, and you feel like it's your's for that time. Then when you hear it later on, you are always reminded of what you felt when you first heard the song.

This is an anouncement. My computer is being weird and mean and slow, so I might not be posting for the next few days.

I almost lost my grandmother recently. I think I told some of you about that. She had a really risky surgery, and they weren't sure she was going to survive it. But she did, and we're all grateful for that.

When I loose loved ones, I get very quiet when I talk. And the only way I feel better is crying. It hurts to loose someone you love.
Since my great-grandma has died I made this book of pictures of her to honor her. At the end I wrote a poem that was dedicated to her. I also found a song that I dedicated to her which is "Three Times A Lady" by Lionel Ritchie. It is nice to hear it when I am missing her. But, I know she is my guardian angel.

Hey, T, it's what you do. YOu have to remember the good things in a way that suits you or you get all angry. As someone who's been to more funerals that to the movies, I can say that.

But it's so weird....
I mean, I have a really good friend who calls me T, so I look at Tiana's T, and get really confused. *sigh*
I is Dûn. Or Dûncari, from the Citadel... which is kinda... cute...

Yeah, I don't always indicate who I'm talking to if I think it's obvious.... And I don't always talk English, either. Or to the person posting above me. Who doesn't seem to think newbies can find the hello thread.

That's just because the "general" forum is so cluttered. I don't get it...when a newerish person sees "general board", that should be the place to go, where things are simple, right? And yet we have all these junky dead threads that make things confusing...why-eeeeeeeee?
