There have been a couple of incidences where members have tried logging in; when they submit their username and password, they show up as logged in on the bottom of the home page, but they can only post as guests. First thing to try is to clear out your browser's cookies. For the uninformed, cookies are not baked goods under these circumstances (alas); they're the bits of information your computer stores to remember certain things about certain sites. For example, when you log in to your account here, it gives you a dropdown menu of some options for how long you'd like to stay online. If you choose six hours, a cookie will be formed and will keep you online at this site even if you leave for a bit and come back within that time frame. If you choose forever, then whenever you visit, you'll be logged on. Handy-dandy little things for lazy people such as myself, but they do occasionally run into problems... When they do, get a window of Internet Explorer up and go to Tools > Internet Options. This window will pop up: Simple as that. You'll have to resubmit login information and the like to all the sites you set to remember you, but it's a small price to pay to have things working again, I think. Also, as mentioned, it's a good idea to clear out your temporary internet files with the second button fairly often to reduce your chance of getting a virus through IE. This isn't related to the above addressed issue, but I thought I'd mention it nonetheless. Any other questions or problems relating to technical forum/login issues can be posted and addressed here.
