Just a heads up for the lot of you I hang out with online.
That thing called real life has come up to bite me in the ass. Actually, a few things are preventing me from getting on and doing the things that I usually am so keen on doing, like posting and replying to PM’s and topics and the like.
1. The computer I’m on is incredibly stupid and slow. Not only does the darn thing have dial up, but the actual computer is four years old, riddled with spyware and malware (of which my parents won’t let me remove because they don’t want me messing with the hard drive), which slows it way down. Of course, this is one of the biggest reasons why I have not been on and might continue to not be on.
2. Romance. Well, it happens to everyone and for the last year or so I never really had it. However, due to some strange luck of mine I seem to have found it again, and quite frankly, I want to have as much of that as possible while still in favor with the gods of love. My boyfriend and I are spending a lot of time together, which is really great for me, but really bad for you all. This is the second reason why I have not been on and might continue to not be on.
3. Moving out. Yup, it’s about that time in my life when I get out of my parent’s house. Which means driving all over creation to find an affordable apartment. Though I won’t be moving in until October, well... do the math, it’ll take me at least until September to actually find a place without roaches, then the paperwork, and finally actually moving.... doomy, I know.
4. Sick. Recently I have been very, very ill. Like, unable to move off the couch ill. I’ve been to the doctor and all seems well (aside from the infection), but I’m supposed to take it easy and not sit for long periods of time. That rules out waiting for the dial up to load and then posting.
5. Parents, or, a reason I am moving out. Yeah, they suck, as they own the computer that connects to the internet and pay the bills for the internet and the like. They are also the ones who pick when I can and can’t get on, and how long I get to stay on. Hopefully as I get my new place (with my own computer and internet access [thank god for cable]) I will be on more.
6. School. Very shortly (well, in September, anyway) school will be starting. I am taking a full load, which will mean tons of muse but tons of homework.
7. Work. Yesh, in order to get the apartment and the food and the internet I am taking on three jobs. Lucky me, right? Well, at least it’s not heavy lifting... much.
I apologize greatly to anyone I owe posts to, I promise I am doing my best to get to them. I have to pick the places I go to carefully, since I can only manage to view two or three in an hour (which sucks beyond recognition). If/when I finally am able to get online on a regular basis I will be my usual posting self, replying and the like. However, in the meantime, I fear I might have to cut back on a few of the lesser websites I visit.
Again, deepest apologies,
Moi
