Yeah...when I saw that a thread hadn't been started for it yet...well, you know. I almost exploded when I saw it had been mentioned in the Siggie & Avvie thread.
Sounds rather messy, doesn't it?
Anyhoo, I almost couldn't believe it, although I should have expected it, right? Lewis is a famous author, after all, even if it is for his Narnia and Christianity series, not to mention The Pilgrim's Regress. But...the Space Trilogy! With the Hross species, the Sorns, Mr Devine, Jane, Merlin, and of course our beloved Ransom...
YAY! Party on!

YAY!! *parties without exploding* I have yet to read the second and third books, but greatly enjoyed the first. It is the kinda thing we would talk about here, isn't it?

All of C.S. Lewis' books were random... he could whip one out in one sitting... It was like, "Hm. I think I'll write a book today."....
I love the Space Trilogy. More than Narnia. Out of the Silent Planet is possibly the sweetest book title ever. I love it... the third one's my favorite, though. It made me think... but it was a good thinky-ness, if you know what I mean. I took a C.S. Lewis class, and we read the whole trilogy in less than a month, and discussed them... dzang, that was fun.

I've heard of these books and I'd really like to read them. Now that I'm working I actually have the money to buy them, but where to find the time to read them? :-)

I could let you borrow mine, Silver.
I wish I could be like "Hmm, I think I'll write a book today." ...*grumbles*
They were serious, but random at the same time. ...Yes.

The first two are pretty quick reads, and I found the third one was a bit more packed-in. Mmmmmmmm. Good stuff.

Somebody gave them to my sister for her birthday, and since she's been trying to get me to read Perelandra for practically ages... I suppose I'm going to...
Glad to know all of you think so highly of it!
