The last post in the LotR RPG board was in January. The last post in the insane RPG board was on Feburary 1st. I propose the merging of these boards for simply "plot based" RPGs rather than LotR/PotC or Insane RPGs. A subcatagory could be created for insane RPs.
Considering that Sblomie deleted herself from MEI, the LotR ones are relatively unsupervised as it is. Either these boards should be removed or merged in order to save various spacing.
In the same light, as we're creating a Narnia RPG, are they really going to be active? Unless MEI receives another blast of new members, the RPs are going to die.
Voices/opinions, members and administrators?

A lot of RPs are slowing down and I don't see a reason why besides people aren't coming. I for example in the Star Wars ones am stuck because my Master in OR called me aside and then disappeared back into reality, and the few people who aren't actually me in the NR aren't showing either. A lot of sites are showing this decline. Whole sites. People have to take resposibility-- About Narnia, I don't know. It depends on the level of interest being shown now. If that's not less than extraordinary, it'll never get off the ground according to the number of people who are keeping up to things right now.

I don't understand why people don't post either! I post. My alias' post. *eyes burn with passionate fury* It's Darth Real Life! Somehow he has kept members from posting on the RPGs! I say we hunt him down and make him pay.

No joke. I have no RP time... I finally posted today, because I'm off school, but that only lasts for today. Absolon's going to kill me, before this year is over....

Don't worry about it. I need to be reminded to do stuff. Else I'll just... forget. 'Cause there's a lot of stuff on my mind. If I forget again, poke me.

Oh, of COURSE I'm you. How could I ever forget? XP...
Nah, my aliases aren't active RP posters, most of the time. Now shut up and forget about my exceedingly obvious alias that everyone knows about but I still forbid people to remark upon... ^_^

What if as well as RP games we had a weekly 'quest' or something? It's something I do on another board, and it's great fun.
Basically, once a week, just before the 'quest' we decide whether it's going to be sci-fi and fantasy, and appoint someone to be in charge of the 'plot' (I use that word in the vaguest sense possible). For example, last week we did a sci-fi space adventure. Everyone who wants to take part in it has to say in advance, and the person in charge of it gives them all roles - in our space adventure, I was the pilot of the ship. Squee.
Anyway, at a certain appointed time - the one on my site is 7pm English time on a Saturday - everyone taking part comes online and goes to that thread, where the person in charge tells us the beginning of the story. The other day, the storyline was that the captain of the ship's brother had been kidnapped by EEEVIL ALIENS and we were hiring mercenaries to help rescue him (ie, some people registered late and wanted to join in, but there was no room left in the crew)
Basically, it's up to the people on the 'quest' to say what their characters are saying and what they're doing, but it's up to the person in charge to say major plot developments - ie, our characters were in the middle of a fight when Plot Development Guy said "Suddenly the missile detector goes off." And so the story keeps moving.
Everyone's posts are kept short and sweet, mainly dialogue.... and it's lots of fun.
And it might get more people interested in RP games.

I see a decline in post amounts on almost all the sites I visit, even the large, large 7,000 members Backyard Chickens site. I think it's just the time of year...or brothers. One of the reasons I haven't been on much is because of my brother and his very unhealthy addiction to Runescape. Ugh....Runescape.

(dislikes short posts. In fact, MEI has rules against posts less than two sentence posts...
Ugg... Runescape... my parents want to ban it...
