I don't know. Just something about them that I like. The third one is the only movie release I've really been anticipating since Star Wars...maybe I was just looking for something to get mildly excited about again. ;D Things just haven't been the same, movie-wise, since Star Wars was wrapped up.
Ooh, guess what. I get two six-day work weeks in a row. Fun, huh?

*winces* I'm sorry, Jandalf...
Yeah, ever since Star Wars and LotR wrapped, there hasn't been that much. But PotC 2 is coming in July, and the Narnia stuff is kicking up too, so there should be SOMETHING. Plus Spiderman and other stuff...

That stinks Jandalf. Where do you work?
I have to finish my term paper right now and I'm pretty pleased with it so far. Hopefully I can finish before midnight. Yes, queen of procrastination.
I have to work tomorrow. I'm NOT looking forward to it. Work is just so...boring.

Mmm...and I am looking forward a bit to Superman as well...
I guess you could call my workplace an electronics retail store...we sell computers, TVs, accessories for all that, and we're a RadioShack dealer, so there's all that fun stuff as well. Well, it USED to be called RadioShack...now it's called The Source. I have no idea why they changed it, and I don't know if it's just a regional change or not. RadioShack's name is so iconic...oh, well. We also sell stationary and office supplies and whatnot, and we recently had a renovation and moved the book section over to its own little store in the mall. It's the only real bookstore that exists in our area, truthfully, so it's really nice to have that expand... I spend most of my working hours over at a division of the company that does copying, website, and graphic design stuff, but I do some cashier work in the main drag as well, usually one day per week. Well. There were two full-time gals besides me, but now one's going over to work at the bookstore, and the other one's getting married next week, and we just barely hired a new full-time guy, so it's me and the new guy all next week, and no one else. Yee-haw. But at least it isn't the Christmas rush or anything...now that would be party time. Golly gee willickers. Don't I luuurve those 47-hour weeks. ;D But it isn't as bad as some other people have to pull, and it's only for two weeks. I'll live. No worries, eh?

I'm probably the least movie hikable person. I've seen so few movies... grr. I haven't seen any of the X-Men movies, so I'm unthrilled by it. Not like I'd get to see it, anyway. The next movie that potentially interests me is PotC and then Prince Caspian...
I've seen minimal movies in theatres. Maybe you guys can afford 13 bucks admission and gas, but we can't. I can list all the movies I've seen, still. Gah.

I liked the first two... have yet to see the third X Men. I liked all of the cartoons and the comics.. *rolls eyes* But I'm still a bit bitter that there's no Gambit in the third movie. Oh, well. Such is life. I see too many movies.... my friends and I have like one movie obsession a year.... freshman year was The Italian Job (still love that movie), last year it was Peter Pan, and this year was Pride and Predjudice. Wondering what it's gonna be next year....
I don't know what my work situation for this summer will be. I've been planning on picking up my old job at the Copy Shoppe, but I haven't heard back from the lady yet.... though she just had surgery, so it's still up in the air. Otherwise I'll end up working at Super 1, or something annoying like that. *sigh* Gas prices are a bugger....
BUT I'M OFF OF SCHOOL TOMORROW!!! AIIEEEEEE!!! Woo... so happy it's summer. I get to sleep in on Friday.... the glory is overwhelming.

Fiday is my last day, too... Lotsa good stuff has been happening lately!!! *big smile*
Anyway... my job... was HOT. I had two cart hours and my arms TANNED because it was so warm and sunny. I was in black pants and a non-breathable polyester shirt and it wasn't fun...

Blimey...no doubt.
Last day of work is July 15. (counts the days)
Prince Caspian, Prince Caspian, Prince Caspian...
Movie prices are generally wrong, as a rule. In Winnipeg, one pays $8.75 to get into Silvercity, and here in our teensy little local cinema, we pay $8.50. It's nahsty. We should really be paying $5, or even less...and then, of course, there's concession to help empty your wallet, but I spend all evening every evening at work smelling the popcorn, because the cinema's right next door. I don't even want the popcorn anymore...it's just...too much. Yech. It starts smelling like burnt peanut butter cookies after a while. Weird, eh?

Once you've smelled somehting awhile, you tend to not like it. Here, we pay $6 a movie - with 6 people in my family, we go only once a year. [EDIT: Math - $36 per movie]Unless it comes out in the summer and we go to the drive in - the ultimate family night crammed into an uncomfortable van, sprawled this way and that to get a good view and with the wicked stereo system blaring. And it's only $20 PLUS you see 2 movies! [EDIT: which equals 2 movies at $36 normal = $72. 52 dollars oiff is pretty darn good, mind that you're sacrificing comfort for cheapness] We take what we can get. We never buy from the consession stand if we can help it - $5 for a small popcorn plus 8% meal tax? No thanks.
I've never seen the Xmen stuff. It's not too interesting to me, but I would like to see Jean Luc Picard and Gandalf face off. Heh. Funny... * pictures Agenst Smithy/Neo air duel thing, only JLP and Gandalf* Snrk. PotC is the ony decent movie coming out this summer. My library's children's program has a pirates theme because the childrens librarian's obsessed with Pirates. *sigh* A good thing abotu work.

For us, matinee is $7.50 and after 5 it's $8.50, but you can get a student discount if you have a student ID. I don't go to the movies unless there's something I really want to see out. I mean, why pay to see something you'd rather wait for on video? And my bag is big enough to fit drinks and candy in, so we take our own stuff because the concession stands really do rip you off.

Exactly. Not only is it cheaper, (especially if you get it from the library ^.^) it's more comfortable.
When I was 7, I used to shove chocolate in my pockets, but I found not to do that pretty fast. Why do theaters make us pay so much for the consession ? What are they trying to get out of it? Ok - whatever is left in our wallets after we buy the ticket. I just don't get it.

Hee hee.... how to cheat the movie theaters. We've got that one down pat. Yay for trench coats and sling bags!!! We can pretty much get the whole convenience store into the theater, if we so wish to.
Dzang, I love Montana. Matinees are 5.00, and after five o'clock it's 7.50. Which really isn't too bad. And one of our theaters is only a dollare fifty per seat, if you're willing to wait that long to see a movie. When FotR came out, we saw it in that theater four times.... cruddy seats, though. Heh comfort for cheapness.
School's out, and I'm sunburned. The happiness is overwhelming. We rediscovered yesterday why Dûn only manages the volleyball team. I play.... oddly. But it's really fun. Gots to take the car and get the snow tires off of it, 'cause now they're illegal.... at 11:00. Yay. And study for the SAT, which is 8:00, tomorrow morning. Whee. And graduation, which is at 3:00... and Kris's party at 5:30. I love summer.

Wow. That's a long summer break. I had it from the last few days in June to where it started up again right around the Labour day weekend in early September. Luckies!

Eww... we don't really get breaks during the school year. Our school gets out earlier than the rest of the school's in Montana, as well.
Oo, coolest thing. I might get this half-nannying job for a couple of boys that I know. I'd get paid 150 dollars a week, plus gas and expenses. Oh, the hype. That's... lessee.... six weeks at least, at 150. Dzang, I so want this job. And it's pretty much just carting them around to keep them from playing Nintendo all summer. Folfing, swimming, we might float the river. So great. My life is complete.

Ahh...that'd make all the difference, yes... Nice with the nannying job, too. It'd be better than flipping burgers all summer...

I mean, they have a theatre 45 minutes away, but still... that's still gas money. (grins) Jedi robes for smuggling. You can stick a water/pop bottle in the hood and no one notices... then there's those sleeves, and you can tuck stuff into your belt too. Because I wear mine belted, so... yeah... snrk. We've perfected the art.
