Ahh.... awesome thread!
Okay, in honor of the new season coming up (July 9), and the sudden interest in SG1, I make an awesome thread for it!
And so! Let the discussion begin on the long-running SG1, with comments on the spin-off Atlantis.
I'll begin by stating that I wished that the show had dived more into the Jack/Samantha thing before Jack left the show. And... Daniel is my favorite character.

YAYAY! Maybe this one can live because only a couple people commented on my bygone "gaters" thread before. I don't know everything about the show, and the only season I've followed in any order is the latest one (though i have season 3 on DVDs), but I do agree it's rockin'. I love the humor, and the technology, and how the team works together. I do miss Jack...never liked any romance at all though, so the shippers can go do their thing over there *waves to a corner of the 'net*. I've never watched Atlantis though I know a little about it, mostly Wraith stuff--I have enough trouble keeping up with Doctor Who and SG1 together. Tiel'c is my favorite!

Oh, it will live. *shakes fist* And that's because I love the show so much. I've watched it since I was a wee thing, so I know a lot about it. Well, you can always Wiki SG1... believe me, there is a ton of stuff on it. In fact: Here's a link. And... Here's another.Anyway. Which baddie do you like the team fighting? There were the Goa'uld, I liked them. There was a history there I could follow and some of the baddies were cool characters. But the Ori... I'm not so sure. They are hard for me to follow and what-not, and yeah, they are generally bad and hard to kill.

Honestly, I like the Replicators. They're shiny and come in swarms, snrk. I think they were only on for a short time though...the Goa'uld were cool because they have the whole Egyptian thing going on. Ori scare me though because we don't know much about them. The Priors--don't they look dead? So they're good bad guys too. Thanks for the Wiki stuff. You can find anything there, Force...

Lol. Force. I'm going to start using that in place of "for real." Just... force.
Anyway. Yeah, the replicators were neat, did you see the episode where they found the person who started it all? It was a little girl, and she fell in love with Daniel. Yeah. Neat.
The Priors do look dead, and that is part of what makes them scary. I think as we learn about them they will be less scary, but yeah, lack of info = scared me. But they are really neat bad guys.
...
So, what season do you like the best of all the seasons you've seen?

I don't know, lol! The latest is the only one I could tell you the whole plot. I like humor episodes, and there are a bunch of them in season three...
No, I didn't see the little girl. Wow, Daniel. He's died what, three times? And always gets a romance plot. ...

Daniel's cool like that. He even acsended once, then came back. Yeah, and he always gets the girl.
O.o I have a great episode. When Tiel'c falls in love with the leader chick who leads a band of female warriors... that was cool. You know the actor wrote that episode and all the relating episodes?

Tiel'c's actor you mean? I only know of once he was in love with an Earth girl. I don't quite remember what she was but a warrior makes more sense.

Yeah, Chirstopher Judge I think his name is. I think he falls in love with an Earth girl too. It might be a season you've not seen, though. Oh well.
In other news, two days until the new season starts.

Lol. Yep, July 9 on the Sci-Fi channel is when it starts. I am highly excited. XD
In other news, I hear that something happens to Sam this season. Not sure what, but I heard she might be leaving the show for a while. Have you heard anything about that at all?
~~~~~~~~~~
Ahhhhhh!! Did you guys see the new episodes? They are replaying them on Friday before the new episodes.
Veery doomy. CXD I can't say much without spoiling things.
Isn't that the scene where he's like... lying in the woods in naught but his skin? Did you guys know that Daniel plays Thor? I used to be totally obsessed with Star Gate, and I still like it, I just can't believe they replaced Jack with that new bozo. He and the other new girl used to be on a really dumb show together... I can't remember what it's called though.
Farscape. I remember Farscape well; it was a neat show because a lot of the stuff in there were puppets, and the plot was neat, and well, the music was hot. >>> Getting off topic.
Yeah, but it is dumb that they put those two on a new show together. Sure, they have great chemistry, but it's dumb. I really miss the Jack, and his awesomeness. I think he made the show.
Farscape: SciFi with sex appeal. I will make no more comments--that one being a derogatory statement--
No, this must'ave been another Daniel Comes Back From The Dead episode, lol. And hey, I saw the one with Tiel'c and the warrior girl. Pretty cool actually. But I didst not tape the new season!!1 *dies as DVD prices loom at WalMart* I heard a SG1-Atlantis crossover is coming along.
doesn't Tiel'c have a son with her? or is that with someone else..
|
Post by jackerwen on Jul 28, 2006 7:28:43 GMT -5
Nope, Tiel'c has a son with his now-dead wife, and his son is off learning how to be an awesome warrior.
Do you mean Atlantis will have people from SG1 coming to their station? Yes. I've seen that episode. It was mighty. And so were the others... but we don't talk about them because I don't know what you've seen and what you haven't seen.
My favorite newest episode is when the SG1 team meets their alternate selves. That was neat.
lol, there've been a couple alternate selves episodes! This one was really funny...I like the humorous eposodes that also have seriousness in them.
What Jack said, about Tiel'c. I saw that one with his son...
SG1 finally had its 200th episode. That was SO neat to watch, I was rivetted. Actually, watching the "Making of" before it was really cool, because they talked about their favorite parts of filming, and how they've changed over the years. T'ilc was a really amazing character to watch grow on this show. And Jack was back! It was super cool. They also did a segment in Puppets.... which to say the least was creepy as hell.
I thought the 200th was ok. Some of it was funny, but if you watched the making of thing and/or read the TV giude pretty much all of the episode was known beforehand....I liked the panda Ewoks. And CMC exploding...and "Indeed!".
