Frakken' kracken... I love it. Mind if I steal it?
XD
I have a discussion running about this on another board, and our current topic of interest is who do you think was Davy Jones' love?

Possibly Tia Dalma. You can hear the same music from Davy Jones's little music box at one point when they're at her house...

I think we have ruled that one out, but it's always a possibility. We were thinking more along the lines of someone mythical, because of the presence of the kracken and the Flying Dutchman.
XD I'd like to think she was a mermaid or something, something spiffy like that.
And... everyone all over is ranting about how much they hate Elizabeth. I don't see how she changed too much... she was way into Jack during the first film, curious, at least. Her attitude was generally the same, a bit ballsier in the second than the first.
XD
And of course, the Jackobob!

I don't really have any problem with Elizabeth, except that she's way too skinny.
I mean, come on, people. If you had to choose between Will Three-Facial-Expressions-serve-all-purposes Turner and Jack HOTT Sparrow, which would YOU choose??

Um... why do you even bother to ask? Of course Jack /H/O/T/ Sparrow, I mean honestly, the man has like... a wicked sense of humor and a hot body...
But yeah, I though Liz was way too skinny as well. Though I must say, Pintell and Regetti were hilarious. (They are the Pearl pirates, the fat one and the one with the eye...)

I know. I really liked them in this movie, Ragetti in particular, with his commentary on each situation... did you know they thought up a backstory for those two? Ragetti was the son of a prostitute who died, and Pintel's his uncle, who promised to take care of him.

Ooh that's interesting... this movie was different from the first one, but i enjoyed it for the ride. it served the purpose of a middle of a trilogy; character drama and a cliffhanger. (*SNIFF* "HUGE FRAKKIN' KRAKEN!!!!!!!! *dies* " lol) Some of the stuff in the fight scenes was obviously made for a movie--i mean, the millwheel? The beginning was a bit muddled, the cannibal part rather pointless...but you know i think PotC1 was a bit muddled too. Liz & Jack is going to be the next big thing among the fangirls then...but she tricked him...

The second was better, I think. The ending was kinda bad. I liked it a ton! It rocked! I think that Davy Jones could have been a lot scarier, though. He should have been, like, rotting, with living sea animals embedded in his flesh. That still move. Or something. Jack was awesome, and I don't really see anything different in Elizabeth. Will was cooler in this one, but yes, as Hobbit-Eyes said, he only has three (or less) facial expressions that serve all purposes. Just stick out the chin, widen your eyes, or pose sticking one shoulder up higher than the other one. And he usually does all of them at once. We should, if we don't already, have a thread to mock celebs.

*puts on piratey story-telling face* Yarrr, the Legendary Three Faces of Will Turner...
1. The Hollywood-Action-Determined-Hero face - frown, pout slightly, and squint your eyes so that you look like you're scanning the horizons (not that you just got mascara in your eye). Suitable for when you're angry, suspicious, thoughtful, determined, brave...
2. The Sad-Abandoned-Puppy face - stick out your bottom lip, widen your eyes and frown ever so slightly to add an allure of confusion to your countenance of dejection. Picture a disabled orphaned kitten being kicked onto a motorway to give you the right motivation. Suitable for when sad or confused by someone you love.
3. The One-Expression-Fits-Everything-Else face - raise your eyebrows, one a little higher than the other, widen your eyes and let your mouth hang open slightly. This face is normally used when you've just had to deliver a 'funny' line and are not quite sure what to do now.

XD That is a nifty backround story, and making use of method acting, I might add. Do you know if they have a fansite? Heart them, seriously. About the second movie, yeah, it is the second film of three, the filler, the fluff, the bridge needed to get to the other side. It stinks but hey, without it you're SOL, unless you happen to be in bone cages that swing... But yeah, some of the parts of the film were a bit pointless, but they were funny and therefor mattered. I think if Jack was in the scene then it doesn't really matter anyway.

Lol, I was gonna tell Hobbit-Eyes to add pics. XD.
Yeah, this one was more Fantasy. But I like Fantasy, so I think that is one reason that I actually like it more than the first. Yep, the music was awesome!
And I also think that the characters were kinda acting different. You are not the only one who thinks that. But it was not obvious. It was just subtle things.

Only those of us really, really obsessed were able to tell what was different in the characters.
XD Like me. And how, if you noticed, Elizabeth was ballsier than the last film. And more... mannish, I thought.

I'm not really, really obsessed, but I could still tell the difference. Not a big difference, like I said.
I thought she was more mannish. Probably because she was pretending to be a man, but during the rest of the film, too. She wasn't as... I don't know.

Oh crud, those pics didn't show... I'll fix em later.
Lizzie was ballsier, certainly. And PMSier. Will was missing something... coughlikeabraincough... To me, some of the chars didn't fit right.

"I wanted more swash swash buckle buckle." lol, that's amazing.
I thought Davy Jones was cool; how the crew merged with the ship, that guy with the lamp...ew! He was creepy--very wall animatedly so, and his voice was unusual for a bad guy, which is good.

I adored the music. I can't stop listening to it. Personal favourite tracks are 'Davy Jones', 'The Kraken' and 'Dinner is Served'...

This movie was surprising to say the least.. Who would ever have thought Elizabeth had it in her? And to think that she and Will are having merital problems even before they're married.. My pastor is clinging to the hope that Jack will come back in the 'third movie' he says he's living in the dead Kraken's stomach, waiting for the right moment to spring out and say "I'm baaack!" Thoughts about Norington anybody?
