Do people who you don't know come up to you and start talking about their boyfriend troubles, like you care? They do that to me. Is quite annoying, actually. Because I couldn't honestly care less. Yeah, it's happened - I HATE IT!!! I lack a boyfriend, never had one, don't WANT one ... unless I can find one as weird as me - So I have no idea what they're talking about!!! Like Joan: Ain't no kansas, I read --- ALOT. Especially physics - I'm an ameture Astronomer. I love stars!

Ooh, yes! Astronomy!! I loathe physics for the math, but I absolutely love dabbling in theories and astronomy. Stuff like black holes, quantum foam, cosmic strings, multiverses...YAY!

Ditto ! I hate math incredibly, but physics and astronomy are beautiful, if quirky, things... Should have a physics theory discussion thread....

That would be luvverly! I'll put one in the Random Thread, and then we can discuss physics minus the math to our hearts' content. (grins)

I'm really different in real life. I mean, on the internet I'm quite outgoing, but in real life I'm the quiet one in the corner of the study who's reading while everyone else is discussing cars and bras.
But I do just as many weird things in real life. Just the other day, my headmistress walked in on me pretending to ride a dragon.

It was actually slightly embarrassing. I was running down the path outside school with my arms outstretched yelling "WHEEEEEEEEE!!!!"
My friend called exasperatedly "KATIE, stop riding that dragon!"
And then I heard my headmistress saying "Ohhh, THAT'S what you were doing!" I turned round to see her smiling and then walking off.
Oh dear...

Heh. Heh heh heh. That vaguely reminds me of the terribly odd looks we'd get from the principal, vice-principals, assorted teachers, and most students as they would pass by our stairwell at lunchtime. We were only reading our spoofs out loud. I mean, honestly.

My friends and I once read a LOTR spoof out loud on the train. I only realized how odd it must sound when we reached London and everyone SCRAMBLED for the train doors to get away from us.

Heh. We were bored, so we were all testing the supposedly 'safe' plastic swords in Wal-Mart, once. That was fun. Then I went and stood on the edge of the curb... One of my friends told me not to jump, so I proceded to shout back "I'm not jumping! I'm going to fly!!"
*snrk* That was super fun... specially when I landed on someone's truck... heh heh.

I'm, well, a loner, I guess... Not disturbed though. I tend to get picked on a lot when I'm around people, because I'm not practically anorexic and I wear glasses and like books and writing stuff. So, I'm happier on my own - it's just easier than having my books ripped and ink down my tops and stuff written about me on the notice boards. Lonerness is good!

Yes...I remember days like those...when I had no real friends, was a target for social bullying if not physical...books just provided much better company. Heh.

I have... well... a friend, and I'm like that. -_- No glasses, but I drag around a huge binder everywhere. But then, I'm homeschooled. Heh. Saved me from reality's bite... and makes me see all these school kids in a weird light.
But welcome to MEI, firefly! Where did you come from... we don't get many non-alias members...

Um, well, I guess from ESPS... I kind of followed a link to there and then a link from there to here... Huh, a convoluted approach, neh?

(grins) I've done it before myself, so no worries, eh? Just curious. Most new members here are aliases... we seem big, but there's really only about 50 seperate people, I think. Snrk. Hi!

I'm kinda a blonde, I guess, I don't do cheerleading though.... my e-personality is different from my real one, in RL, I'm a blonde!! "go me!"

I'm sorta ash-blonde. And I'm not the weirdo in the year - that is, people don't act slightly nervous around me - but they don't quite know how to deal with me. I mean, they hang around the study chatting about celebrities - I sit on the sofa and teach myself Ancient Greek.
They seem to be trying to bridge the gap though - that is, saying to me every few days, "OMG, Katie, can we put make-up on you??? You could look SO PRETTY with it..."
