Today we have a snow day because there is about a foot of snow outside right now...and it's still snowing. I'm so excited! I hope the snow is good for making snowmen!
I'm just glad that the weathermen were actually right this time after lying to us in the beginning of the week. Man, that was disappointing!
Anyone else get a lot of snow?

I just got in from shoveling a second time. We got about a foot of the fluffy stuff, but it feels like more. They don't plow too well in my neck of the woods... It was pretty, tho.

Yea, I went out in my pj's and shoveled the back patio and the walkway.. There was no way I was changing into regular clothes before going outside..

*shriek* *loves spazzy's avatar* *steals* Thanks! Snrk, I just had to make sure the chickens were settled yesterday. Their little rivalries do not like being all cooped up together...

Oh that reminds me...of two things that have happened recently.
The other night I went out to feed the chicken coop with the two turkeys in it. The one turkey who usually comes running to greet me started running towards the doors of the house and stopped on a dime when he saw the snow. He then proceeded to stretch his neck out as long as it could go to pick at my shoe. It was the funniest thing! He was adamant about not touching the snow!
The other thing happened at the beginning of the week. I was looking all over for one of my pigeons. I couldn't find it anywhere so I figured it may have died outside. So I start looking all over the plave for a dead pigeon outside. I couldn't fild a thing. So I go back inside and look all over the place. I finally decide to turn over the water heating pan and there's the pigeon underneath, sitting on a nest. Smart little guys! THey know how to get warm!

Last year my school gave us a snow-day even though there was no snow on the ground, but the Monday we can back there was an inch and a half of snow falling. LOL! It was very odd.

Yes...we'd have snow days called not always on account of snow, too. Usually if that was the case, it was because of the temperature. Come to think of it, they called school off because of the temperature more often than because of the amount of snow... But our school division is a bit picky about it. They're usually the last to write the day off in the region. I think the limit as far as temperature went was -44 degrees Celsius with windchill. That was when they really started having trouble with the buses. (grins)

Wow...49 degrees Celsius...that's INSANELY hot. I'd melt. So would our school. I guess it would be called off then, eh? (grins)
