((Heeheehee. Oh, by the way, I only found a translation for "woman", instead of "mistress" or "lady", but in this context it's essentially the same thing, and I capitalised it for good measure.))
"Tagwa, ma Cheeka," he murmured. "It is indeed too late for some things, but not for others."
Elachi did have some reservations about the act, for the reason that he kept observing the Sith in this woman rise up at intervals, then fall back away. In some circumstances, this could prove to be more dangerous than if she constantly carried those traits. I must be careful not to grow complacent while it's recessive.
Though the chances of complacency on a stunt like this are close enough to nil.

"Indeed," she mumbled, and drew her hood back up and over her face. She glanced at him through the overshadowed view, and sighed faintly. She reached up and twisted her hair so that it obscured half of her face easily.
"Worry not, Jedi," she said, dryly. "I hold to my word, if nothing else-- you'll make it to Coruscant safely, on my life."
He's uneasy, I can tell. Though he hides his emotions well, it's still there in pieces. I'm not quite sure why.
Though I don't even know if what I'm doing is an act or really me anymore.

"To Coruscant. Yes." Elachi stared ahead for a moment. "And what will you do when you get your ship back?"

Shadow was silent. "I suppose I should trust you enough to say that I truly don't know. I'll probably remain on Coruscant, myself," she added, voice soft. "Elsewhere, of course, but still there. Why? Are you going to set the Jedi on me, drag me into captivity, and force me to talk?" She skoffed. "Maybe I should just remain on Myrkr-- at least none would sense me."

((By all means, go ahead...that's what it's there for. Heh. It would be nice if you could let Shadow and me know if you plan to have your character intrude on the goings-on we've been doing, though. Thanks! And Echo, if you could avoid randomly commenting in the future...))
"I plan to do nothing of the sort," Elachi responded in some surprise. Though I should have been expecting an accusation of the kind. "But please, do consider it an invitation to come back."

[[Our characters are somewhat stuck in the past as it is and we're trying to catch up. By all rights, were not here now, Web-head. So it won't work for you to interact with us. Son, CALM DOWN! Unless you go and get yourself captured by Myth and Raze, I WILL meet you on Coruscant.//
There's more to that statement than meets the eye, I think. Shadow took a faint breath, a sharper intake than normal. "Come back where?" she asked, almost tauntingly. "Come back to Myrkr, maybe? Or maybe you want me to come back to Tatooine, and relive everything that brought me to this... this... shell?! Or perhaps back to the Jedi Temple, and get myself killed by those who were once friends?" She drew in a breath, and wished she had the force about her to calm herself from the panicked state she was falling into.

((Oh, right, of course. Heh. The rest of the galaxy is moving a lot faster...))
"Perhaps none of those," he said quietly. "I meant back to the light side. Though this may not be the time to talk about it. Shall we be going?"
I'll have to ease into it to convince her of anything, he knew. One step at a time here. At least we've established we aren't bent on killing each other.

Shadow closed her eyes, and was quiet. "I know that's what you meant," she said, softly. "If only it were that easy. It's not like I can just go before the Council, try to explain everything that led up to my false death, explain why I turned, and plead for forgiveness, and receive it. I'd be slain on sight, surely, for betraying everything I grew up to learn." She touched her eyes slightly, wondering if she could control her emotions even at the thought, and reached out to touch his arm for a moment. "But... uh... t-thank you... for the offer... the thought that I-I could... return," she stammered. "It's... I... I mean..."
She gave up and dropped it. "We'll talk once we're off planet." Toneless again, burying the want, the need. "Let's go." She headed off.

((Right. I'm going to lead them up to a small village just outside of Hyllyard City where they can get directions from some random villager dude to the nearest parts shop.))
She wants it. She wants it like nothing else. She's trying to dissuade herself of the idea, thinking somehow she might be hurt or disappointed...and you're afraid would warrant another dark side plummet for you, wouldn't it, Lania? Elachi wondered if she even realised how much she really did want it. But for now, he travelled in silence.
Their path carried them through forest...and more forest...and even more forest... The trees carried on for another three hours, a diverse range of shrubbery and grasses intermixed between. Occasionally the going was extremely difficult, but as the time wore on the clear patches occurred more and more often. And finally...a cluster of bucolic houses presented themselves.

Lania reached up to assure that her face was well hidden beneath her heavy hood, and that both lightsabers were at her side at easy access. She sighed hard, not realizing how tiring hiking for hours was, especially through dense trees.
"Then we're finding someone who has a scanner who can locate my ship?" she asked in a low voice, not wanting to draw attention to the fact that she-- a ranked Sith-- was asking her "slave" for directions and aid.

"Hopefully one willing to sell such a thing," he responded in as quiet a voice, noting the proximity of the small number of people walking on the closest road. Keep up the illusion; there's a good man, he thought dryly. "I have no doubt we'll need to make several inquiries before we come up with anything concrete, but I should think we'll find something eventually."

Also noting the proximity of the people, Shadow mentally crossed her fingers. Oh, please don't draw attention, don't betray me...
No one paid much attention to the humanoid pair-- the village people had seen much stranger out of Hyllyard City than a human female with a possible slave. It was Shadow who finally stopped a familiar face (at least, to her) and was able to get directions to the nearest part store without more than a few strange looks from the human male-- who happened to know her better than most people in the parts, though not as well as some.
"I have a few contacts in these parts," Shadow muttered dryly. "If it's luck or not, though, that Ky'laan's here, I'm not really sure."
She tilted the scrawled directions upsidedown, attempting to read his poor writing on the well used flimy. "That way," she finally determained, and led Elachi to a nearby parts store-- at least, that's what she assumed it was by it's overall grubby Huttese advertizing appearance.

This place was very strange to him. While he was accustomed to adapting to peculiar environments, given the fact that that's what he did for a living, Elachi was able to take those hidden inner reactions and push them forward into his act, making him appear to be in a very uncomfortable but sort of quietly resigned mood.
Ky'laan? he wondered, and decided to store that name away for now.
The parts store, unlike the rest of the community, looked just about like any other parts store Elachi had ever seen. It was more than likely that the shop was owned by a sentient who would weasel as much money as he could from a deal, someone well-acquainted with the pleasure of a good sale and slippery with his words. Quite possibly predictable, but nevertheless a one to watch carefully.

//I can't do a two way dialogue in one post. I'll have Shadow tell you to do the bantering instead.//
Shadow looked around carefully-- there weren't any particular number of sentients in the store, but she couldn't help the feeling that she was being watched-- even without the force. She closed her eyes for a second, and walked into the back, a quick hand motion to Elachi to follow after her. "We're looking for X'riea Oolan," she said softly, but not so soft as to seem suspicious. "The Twi'lek who owned this establishment, last I looked." A bit louder, an order this time. "You're aware of what I want-- get it while I look around."

((Okay. Is this Oolan a male or female?))
"Yes, my lady," Elachi murmured, and moved to the side to a spot he considered likely for the beginning of a search for such a thing as a ship locator. He went over the miscellaneous objects thoroughly but quickly, having two reasons to keep his search down to a minimum of time.
I'd better keep up the pretense of an efficient slave, as that's the sort anyone would prefer to keep about, much less a Sith. I haven't heard anything about great tolerance as a main attribute to their behaviour, at any rate. And the sooner we're out of here, the better. Something... He fought the impulse to grimace. Something here doesn't feel right, even if I can't sense anything.
He finished digging through one bin and started on another...and found something interesting. Picking it up, he brushed off some dust and inspected it carefully. Interesting model. But it should suit our purposes. He glanced back over to Shadow.

//Sure. She's a female Twi'lek, with a somewhat Han Solo/scoundrel personality.//
Shadow dropped a brief nod, just enough to convey her point, and went back to digging into a stack of water/gas rebreathers. Why do I get the feeling I'm going to need one of these in a short time...
No force to fall back on, but she still had the strangest feeling.
She turned her head back over to Elachi, and took a closer look at the strange model he held. Odd... I recognize that model, I'd swear it... She couldn't place it. Trade Federation technology maybe?

((Yay, fresh blood! Heehee. Just kidding. Play away, Eisley! Hope you don't mind me giving a little shape to X'riea.))
I hope this antiquity decides to work for us, Elachi thought, and headed over to the shop's owner to find out what she considered it to be worth. Haven't bartered in a while. Good fun.
The owner was a female Twi'lek with light bluish-purple skin, standing behind a counter of sorts, and her attention appeared to be elsewhere at the moment...though something about her behaviour told Elachi she was watching him carefully nonetheless. He came up to the counter and laid the ancient ship locator down with a soft clunk. He kept his eyes averted as he spoke, as if in knowledge of his "lower social standing".
"Excuse me. I'm seeking a personal assessment for this piece of machinery."
