*adds everyone to prayer list* And a short request from myself...
This has been a really tough summer for my family. We've always been pretty much healthy - I mean, no hospital trips or anything. But in June, my little brother was sick with appendicitis, although thankfully it didn't rupture. He was down for quite a while, though.
And in July, my dad went in for a checkup. He'd been having some chest pains, but we really didn't think it was that serious... he went into surgery the next day with major blockage in his heart. While in surgery, he had what was called a "controlled heartattack." They also discovered he was diabetic. This has meant a LOT of lifestyle changes for my family, and espciallly my dad, who hasn't been able to work or do much for a few months now. He's not really used to lying around, and it makes him upset and irritable. He's doing really well now, but even though our church is fantastic, being a pastor can be one of the most stressful jobs EVER! Please pray for my dad; he's going to preaching again for the first time this Sunday.
On top of everything, we've very seriously considering moving. There are a lot of reasons, one of which is we're not sure whether we can afford the house we're living in long-term, espcially consider that my dad may not be able to work as long as we had thought (considering his health). Even though we won't be moving far (same city), this is very disrupting ('specially with school just starting and everything). My little brother hates change and is really upset. Please pray that we'd have the wisdom to make the decision if this is what we need to do!
Almost done... just one more thing... one of my friend's mothers has been experiencing an irregular heartbeat, and the procedure they've been using to fix this isn't working. She's going in for surgery once more in a few weeks. If that doesn't correct the problem, the next step will be to put in a pacemaker. She's only 40! I would also ask prayer for their family.
*guilty* I know that's a lot... but it has been a really rough few months. Thanks so much!

wow.. that's a lot, Mekka, or Joan... you guys switched right? I will pray for both your fams just in case. I have two: my best friend's mom has a tumor the size of an orange, and she's had it for about seven months without knowing about it, so that's... bad. please pray for her and her kids. I have a friends who turned really weird all the sudden, she's all quiet, and she recently told me she was dealing with SI. please pray for her, I'm really worried.

Joan...or Mekka, who ever you are, I hope things get better for you. I know how difficult it is to have a dad that has to stay in bed even when they don't want to. It's just as difficult for them as it is for the rest of the family. My dad is so used to being up and moving around that when he had to get his hip replaced he was miserable having to stay inside, as was the rest of the family.
Good luck with things and I'll send prayers your way.

Wow... That is major... I've been thru appendicitis. Know what surgery's like. Got both you guys on my prayer list! And I'll be thinking of you! I dunno if this has been posted yet, but.... For the people down on the Gulf Coast, that they will calm down so they can be helped. For those helping, that they can handle the pressures of their jobs. For us, so we know what we can do to help.

OK guys, I don't often do this, but I'm requesting some major prayers for my 4-H leader. She was in an accident last night, a very bad one. The driver made it out ok, but my leader was sent to the hospital and no one's even sure she's going to make it. I'm really really hoping she makes it through. Our 4-H group was very close to her. My mom doesn't have much more information, but we're hoping to find out more soon. All we know is that she is in really bad shape.
Please send your prayers so that she can get better. I know she would greatly appreciate it, as would all those very close to her.

I'll pray, Silver. I know how hard that sort of thing is.
'Kay, my Chemistry teacher's wife just had a baby, and he's healthy and everything, but my teacher's exhausted, and we're really behind as far as school goes. I have two major tests on Monday, and seven hundred really important things to do this weekend. And my school is in desperate need of prayer. We haven't been State Accredited for quite a few years now, and just re-gained our accredidation, which is huge, but means a lot of change for us, and some of it's pretty rotten. So, yeah. Thanks guys.

What did the school have to do to get acredited that was so rotten?
I'll pray for your 4-H leader Silver. I have 4-H leaders and they are important to many of us so I can understand. aAd for your school Dun.

Wow, I'll be praying for them too...
I've been having a really hard time with some stuff over the past couple of days and I would really appreciate some prayer. It started Monday night when I found out I wasn't doing too good in my art class, and that made me sad because art has always been my thing and, well... it's depressing when you feel like you are no good at the one thing you thought you could actually do. It flowed into Tuesday when I found out my best friend was in major trouble and I haven't been able to talk to him since Monday and I didn't see him last night, so that really sucked. I'm also in a situation right now that, while I know that God is with me and it will all be okay in the end, is really hard to deal with sometimes, even though it's actually been blessed over the past couple months.
So yeah, please pray because I really feel like crying right now...

Pats Trinity. It'll be okay. you might just be going through one of those phases. The ones where you don't do so good at one of your best subjects. I had them. And yes, tis very depressing. What else you need is a big hug. *glomp* There! That should help you on your way to recovery.

Gah. So sorry, Silver. I'm a 4-H "junkie", and I know how close clubs are with their leaders, so.... *glomp*
Speaking of 4-H, we've had major flooding in our state recently, and some 4-Hers were affected. If you have time, just drop God a line, okey?

Just wanted to update everyone as to my Leader's condition. Despite prayers she passed away at 10:00 this morning. That's all I know as of now. I think it may have been during surgery.
I'm crushed. I just can't believe she's gone. I did so much with my leader and we shared so many stories. I can't even begin to imagine how her boyfriend and dad are taking this. It's just so horrible.
I've thought about it and in someways I don't think it would've been any different if she had lived. She was in such bad condition and I just don't think she would've ever fully recovered. It's just so sad to think about but it does ease the pain a bit, knowing that she is probably better off now.
Thanks for your prayers guys. I know she appreciates it.

I'm sorry Silver. Loosing someone like that and with the kind of friendship you shared with her is really hard. I'm pretty sure most of us here all understand how painful that is. I know I do. Once again, my sympathy.

I have an urgent prayer request. It is for a fellow Christian in New Zealand. She is only 16 and has been abandoned by her family. She has no relatives or a church to turn to for help. Please keep her in your prayers.
