Oh? Is that because you want Luke for your own, or do you just hate her?
...ERGH. I wish I knew who/if the Solo kids were going to fall for, or when, or if they're going to have any kids...yeah...umm...my Padawan can probably guess why I want to know...has something to do with a fanfic I'm helping Auddie with...heh.

both...i don't think she's right for him at all.... she's too arrogant and excitable.
i'm pretty sure jaina and jag get together...no one realy knows though, i presume. the only thing written after NJO as of now is "survivor's quest".

And the Cestus Despetion, I think.
Yeah, I know why you want to know, Jandalf... I'd say that guess for Jaina is close, and I think Jacen would fall for Tenal Ka, personally...
YOU ARE CATCHING UP! BUT EVEN IF YOU PASS ME HERE, YOU WILL NEVER PASS ME IN SPIRIT, FOR MANY OF YOUR POSTS WERE SHORT UP YOUR POST COUNT TYPE! HAH!!!
Besides, add my alias posts... (grins) That adds a deal more, I think...

*sob* Isn't ANYONE going to seriously talk about NJO, not just chat casually? *cries* NJO's probably one of my favorite parts of the 100 or so Star Wars books out there & everyone seems to hate it. Why? Is it 'cause they kill off two characters? I cried on that part (partly because I was acting out Jaina's part as I always do, but mostly because I love my Ani & my 'uncle' Chewie!), but it does make us realize that our beloved characters aren't immortal. (unlike one elf who is the prince of Mirkwood, though I won't say any names, who I do NOT LIKE! Grr. Sorry, heehee, just HAD to throw that in) Read some of the interviews with the people involved with NJO if that's what you dislike about the series. Well, that & the fact that they're making us wait till TWO THOUSAND SIX FOR THE CONTINUATION!!!!! *cries as much as when Ani & Chewie died* Anyways... So does anyone want to 'discuss' NJO? I'm only a guest right now, but I'll be checking this as much as I can. Please?? *looks at you with big Ewok eyes* I am Jaina Solo, daughter of Han Solo & Leia Organa Solo; Jedi Knight, fighter pilot, and... mechanic extrordinaire (try & fix the Falcon as well as I can, ANI. *snorts* Teenagers. Heeheehee).

This is a casual site, and no one ever has discussions, Jania Eowyn. seriously, if that's what you want, go to te sw.com forums or jedi.net. if you wanna hang around here... well... we're the insane side. as Eowyn S. would put it.
i personally found NJO a little bit unsettling, what with the Vong and all that. i don't hate it, just that it's a bit unsettling at times. i think the reason it's disliked is because it's so different from the rest of the SW books and because for once the Jedi aren't allpowerful heros-- NFU's have as much a chance against Vong as they do a lot of the time.

Yeah, I figured that out, lol. I'm somewhat insane myself (for example, I go around pretending to be Jaina and calling Han/Harrison 'Dad' and Leia/Carrie 'Mom, heehee), so I think I'll get used to Insane chats quite easily. Sorry, I'll stop talking and start being insane. Um... hmm, what should I do to be insane? *thinks* I'll come back when I can think of something. Shouldn't be too long. (wink)

Well, you don't have to be INSANE... just... if you aren't... well... you'll learn quickly. Heh. Don't worry about it.
Now... since I still don't hold for off topicness...
WASN'T THIS SUPPOSE TO BE ABOUT NJO?!
Sheesh.
I LIKE NJO! WHY DO PEOPLE NOT LIKE IT?!
Hmmmm... if anyone can answer that, I'll be... interested.

i agree that it's kind of "unsettling." i like the books, the plots, but through the while thing i'm kind of like "they're tearing our galaxy apart! they're messing up everything we knew!" and i think the authors really wanted to do that, but i find it a bit unpleasant. and yeah i call it "our" galaxy quite often...
did you know "Yuuzhan Vong" is from a Thai tea called Yunan, served in a restuarant in NYC called Vong, at which a bunch of editors once had a meeting about the series?

Yep, back to NJO. (wink) (Thanks for being so nice to a poor little newbie, Eowyn Skywalker) I personally like NJO BECAUSE it's so different and BECAUSE the threat isn't just the same old thing (and hey, they didn't re-resurect the Emperor! That counts for something! (wink)). And for once it shows that everyone CAN die and we (the Jedi) aren't invincible. I think the other reason people don't really like it *screams at crazy people who don't like it* is because they show that we're not invincible & immortal by killing a couple really cool characters. *cries for my baby brother Anni* (sorry if that was too 'serious', lol. Once I get a co-author, I'll start bickering with them to make it a bit less serious, lol.) (Oh, & I won't be on here for about 2 1/2 weeks unless I can get on the Net somewhere else because we're moving across the states & driving the whole way. Blech. Oops, sorry, that was off-topic; I'll stop.)

Of topic on MEI is fine... seriousness is fine to, as long as you don't knock us for it!
And I'd NEVER knock a newbie! EVER! I mean, I'm still a newbie by all rights online... less than a year of this.. you'd never know though, unless I tell you! (laughter)
Back on topic:
I have to agree, people are less likely to like NJO because of it's... differentness. I actually wouldn't read it when I first seen it because of the covers. *sheepish* They looked too much like orcs for me... thus meaning I started reading NJO on Traitor. Which... was not a good idea. (my first exposure to EU: Children of the Jedi. Not a good idea either!) (considering I hadn't seen SW in a year...) (and hadn't seen the OT yet...) I like NJO because it's different. Because you see us Jedi in a different light.

Hi!
I like NJO. (Yike! Too many TLA's!!<wink>)) I was rather upset that they killed Anakin... That was sad. I didn't want to go on reading the books!!! So I've gone back to the "older" books.... I really must read more of NJO. must!!! Must--overcome--this--stupid--mental--block!
No, it would't be a particularly brilliant idea... Though that is a good book. I started out reading the "Jedi Academy Trilogy". Those are good. But back to rambling on about NJO. Yeah, I agree, the Yuuzhan Vong do look a bit like orcs. (scary!) But that's not their fault! It's the fault of the artists! <wink>

Heh...I really liked Destiny's Way. I'm not exactly sure why, but it stands out as one of my favourites of the NJO series.

overcoming is good. I have a bit of a block too but mine stemms from my bitter hatred of Mara Jade. 'tis horrible. I have to start...whatever one i have next...ForceHeretic II, i think. I'm trying to read them all in order (again) but don't have them all.
