Ohhh... names. *smacks forehead* Malchani names work like so...
First name... er... I'll take a couple characters of mine per-example-like.
Tiana Calthye-Kenobi Ariane Calthye-Elass Ry'yian Windseeker-Anar
First names can really be anything. They usually apply to the person's future by meaning, as does the last name. Tiana meant princess, Ariane meant undone, Elass meant renewed, Calthye meant watcher, and so forth... the first name is generally the name a person's normally called. A surname is almost an insult if used, unless with a Galatic Basic title. Senator, or whatever. Now it's the surname working that matters... they are always hyphenated off. The last half is the half used for the lastname on general matters. The first part is more a title... heck, IS a title. On marrage, a person may or may not change the last half of their name to their spouse's surname, but they'll always keep the first half. The first half indicates title, rank, or whatever. Windseeker is an elemental surname. Calthye is a title indicating Watcher. And so on.
There...
And I'm glad you consider me a friend, Cy.

Absolon, that makes sense, but you gotta give me a reason why you wanna play a Atehran instead of a Clawdite, that has the same abilities/physical descripsion (phys desc). Well, Atehrans look basically human, I mean they can change their color, and the shape of their face and height and weight and all that jazz, but they always look basically like a human-ish sort. I don't know much about Clawdites, so I wouldn't know if this is to similar. I did read however something in a bio about Zam Wessel that there are many types of shapeshifters in the galaxy, and her enemies were trying to pinpoint her exact species so they could determine her weaknesses. That piece of information is probably totally useless, and now I've spent 10 seconds of my computer time writing about something that wasn't neccessary, and now I'm wasting time writing about wasting time typing! Agh! General Phys Desc: Their natural form is very pale skin, light colored hair and eyes. ~average height/weight: Men: 6'1 Women: 5'9 ~skin color: Naturally, very pale. ~eyes: Two, naturally light colored. General Physiological Desc: Shape shifting, like what I've said above about them changing colors and sizes. Original Homeworld: Atehra Average Life Span: 130 Language: Basic, but on their homeworld they sometimes speak their ancient language, Tehra. History: They haven't really been doing anything out of the ordinary, about 1400 years ago there was a brutal civil war, and shortly afterwards they joined the Republic. Jedi: It is not common for there to be force sensative Atehrans, but when there are, it tends to be heriditary. Example Names: Their sur-names are Tehra-derived, but not so much the first names.

Ok Absolon, that's good. Goop to go. Eowyn, i'd say you're as close to a friend as one can get without actually meeting eachother, eh? I mean without you, and this is no lie, a lot of my life would be different. I wouldn't know RPGs, would never have created the web incarnation of ESPS, would never use the word 'conspiracy' in quite the same way....

Species: Thoruan
A blend of reptile and mammal characteristics. Humanoid shape, predatory, long-limbed with prehensile tails, pointed catlike ears, black and pupiled eyes, gray skin, multicolor (usually warm colors) fur and short mane, gray-tan scales at cheeks, upper arms, knees. Mouth for speaking is located behind the teeth of the muzzle and noise comes from the cheek slits.
Psychological Stats: Very adaptable, recognize and judge individuals by personality much more than name or rank. They mate dispassionately, not for life.
Homeworld: commercial Dua system, Colonies region
Average Life Span: about sixty years, maturing at twenty and walking days after they hatch
Language: Most on the homeworld spoke three or four regional languages, all words and yips. Mostly now they speak Basic, Duee (the political capital’s idiom and the first representatives of the Old Republic learned) and anything they can pick up.
History: Dua is a relatively new member of the galactic union (OR, not empire, NR) that had limited space travel when humans contacted it. Quickly most people adapted to using the new commerce style and technology.
Names: Surnames come first when written and are chosen by the individual, even can change, trusting in consistent taste to keep the individual recognizable. Given names are rather typical, sometimes accented with a yip or growl.
