My SW books are in chronological order on this shelf that also holds my journal, and I'm not sure if that means anything or not... Favorites ANH novelization RotJ novelization (not as well written as episode 4, but the end is pretty powerful) Shatterpoint (Matthew Stover ROCKS! And he wrote episode 3....*twitch*) The Cestus Deception[ (Hey, it's got Obi-wan, Kit Fisto and this thingie called a lightwhip...and insight into how the clones see the world) I, Jedi (Corran Horn's first-person POV=coolness. There's some PG-13ish stuff in this one though) The Jedi Academy Trilogy (the formation of the praxeum. Keven J. Anderson's another cool guy.) The Tales from Jabba's Palace and the Mow Eisley Cantina (explanations of who all those aliens are and what they thought of that farmboy and old guy when they walked into the cantina, or that farmboy when he destroyed Jabba)
must wrack brain and find more...opinions?

I recommend "Dark Force Rising" by Timothy Zahn, and all other books in that series. Excellent plot.

Timothy Zahn was always kind of too military-minded for me. And he invented Mara Jade...grr. He's an alright writer though, and a good contributor to the saga.

OoOHHH... Jandalf loves Zhan's books, be careful what you say about him. *grins* She seemed a bit shocked that the Trilogy he did wasn't my favorite. But I loved Survivors Quest...
What do I have? (I'm copy pasting so forgive the ratings beside the book titles... that's what the forum rated them per film guides) Splinter of the Mind's Eye -- PG
The Jedi Academy Trilogy -- PG The Black Fleet Crisis -- R Children of the Jedi -- PG Darksaber -- PG Hand of Thrawn Duology -- PG The Bounty Hunter Trilogy -- PG-13 (I have 1 and 3) I, Jedi -- PG
Cloak of Deception -- PG The Approaching Storm -- PG Tatooine Ghost -- PG
Vector Prime -- PG-13 Balance Point -- R Dark Journey -- PG-13 Traitor -- NC-17 Destiny's Way -- PG-13 The Unifying Force -- PG-13
Medstar I and II-- PG/PG-13
Yup. There's my collection, at the moment.

Many people don't realize just how many there are. I read 1 and 2 of the county hunter trilogy...they're pretty interesting, though the rating makes sense. Medstar II was pretty cool. I have a fic based around bota...and Elan Sleazebaggano...I can't read any of the stuff with Luke romance in it because I get mad. Jealosy...heh. I liked the NJO one where Tahiri gets shaped. I still havn't read all of those, though the ones I have were in order.

I have two: Dark Rendezvous and Republic Commando: Hard Contact, both given to me by Eowyn for my birthday! Btw, if you're a Star Wars book fan and haven't read DR, go read it! It's hillarious! (to me...) AND YODA'S AWSOME! Yup...

Yeah, and I will make you read more, Adrienne dear...
Okay, you can add Survivor's Quest, Jedi Trial's, and... erg... two of the Han Solo Trilogy to my collection. I think. Can't remember which...
It's NC-17, Warious, because of the torture...

I share most of Tiana's list, although I have read all of the Star Wars novels since my journey forward in time. Extra notable mentions : Yoda: Dark Rendevouz (Clone War) Rogue Planet (Pre Clone War) Rebel Dream (NJO) I, Jedi Why is the Jedi Academy Trilogy so popular? The most interesting part about them was the Sun Crusher.

Heh. I arrange mine in chronological order compulsively...
I LOVE ZAHN!!! AND MATTHEW STOVER R0X0RS!!!
Ahem. Anyway, my current list, hopefully complete unless I lost one under my bed or CR made away with one or two again which I forgot about (soon to include Shatterpoint when I go to the city this afternoon):
Cloak of Deception *
Dark Rendezvous
Lando Calrissian and the Mindharp of Sharu *
Han Solo Trilogy: The Paradise Snare * Hutt Gambit * Rebel Dawn *
The Empire Strikes Back *
Shadows of the Empire (W00t!!)
Tales from Jabba's Palace * (though I'm not sure where it is at the moment... *weeps*)
Tales from the New Republic *
Truce at Bakura
X-Wing: Wedge's Gamble *
The Courtship of Princess Leia
Zahn Trilogy: Heir to the Empire * Dark Force Rising * The Last Command *
Children of the Jedi * (makes face)
Planet of Twilight * (makes worse face)
Black Fleet Crisis: (book 2) Shield of Lies * (book 3) Tyrant's Test *
The New Rebellion
Corellian Trilogy: (book 1) Ambush at Corellia *
Zahn Duology: Specter of the Past Vision of the Future
Star by Star *
Enemy Lines II: Rebel Stand *
Traitor
Destiny's Way
Force Heretic III: Reunion
The Unifying Force
All the books that have a star beside them are the ones I either picked up at thrift stores/used book sales, or got as a present. I figure I've saved over $100 already that way. Heh...it's the way to go. Otherwise I NEVER would have bought Children or Planet of Twilight. Ergh. But yes. 30 books, and only because I'm stingy and bought so many used. That's also the reason why I've got incomplete series. (cackles) Akanah annoys the heck out of me. Wow.
On Jandalf's wishlist at the moment:
Bounty Hunter Trilogy (WANT SO BADLY...)
Rogue Planet (we wants it...)
Whatever books it shall take to complete the series/trilogies I've got in part
The Cestus Deception

Amin mela Matthew Stover...there's set to be a new, post-NJO series out sometime lately, called "Legacy". There's this whole fleet of badly written kids books, including some from way back when when they had no continuity editors and nothing made sense. Amusing, but hard to read.

Children of the Jedi * (makes face) Planet of Twilight * (makes worse face) I agree completely. Incredibly disturbing. I also agree about the kiddie books. No plot, do not fit, incredibly LAME.
