Yet another partly destroyed world to the Vong, this is now the home of the "New Jedi" who mediate and focus on the Force-- though perhaps not to be in their peace for much longer.
They work to rebuild the Jedi Temple and hope to find peace in the galaxy once more, though they no longer believe themselves to be the upholders of the peace.

It seemed a quiet day at the Temple, but Cy Skywalker was doing her best to make it louder. She lay partly underneath her X-Wing fighter, rattling at a loose panel with a hydrospanner over the irritated mental shouting of the intelligence of the ship. Not sure whether other people could hear the Sekotan polyp-mind or not, she ignored it and figured someone would say something if they did, and then at least Cy would have someone to talk to. Sparks monentarily dotted the sleeves of her cloak. Not there, not there! "Looks right to me..." Cy muttered. Feels wrong to me! Check the coolant. "It's not....oh, here, wiring problems. Told ya." She laughed at little, at the win and at the concept of her ship speaking through this not-quite-Force tickle in her mind. Laughed and then sighed, as the tangle of wires above her resolved into something that would take a while to fix. She didn't mind, really. There wasn't much else to do, and the problem was simple if with a potential duration of hours.

It was a relatively quiet day in the Jedi Temple. Not that most weren't, now. A galaxy at peace, sentients actually not killing each other at every given second for policitcal differences... years ago, Luke Skywalker would never have thought it possible. But then, that Luke Skywalker was an adventure-loving innocent young man. Now he was older, wiser...
Well, not completely quiet, he thought, stirring slightly. Minds screaming in the Force, the odd complaint from other things.
Luke smiled and stood up, brushing his robes back into place from where they had wrinkled to submit to the floor. He stood up and exited the silence of the stone-walled room to see what could be done.
Mara Jade wasn't there at the moment-- she was off with Ben Skywalker at the moment... his son. It seemed almost lonely to not have immediate close allies there. Yet everything was going on, pieces of reconstruction, pieces of a galaxy being put together again.
He headed out. Surely there was someone to talk to...

Duration of hours was beginning to look tedious. This was not the day for fixing ships, Cy's inner opinion told her, despite how much they wanted to be fixed. This was a day of...something else. Something probably involving lightsabers. She coiled the wires extracated from the most recently unattached panel and put them on a wingtip. They could fly without it, just not, well, quickly. But nor was she expecting to fly, unfortunately. Bai, Des. The ship's name in her mind was much more a perception than a word. ...ok bai and its reply not quite translatable. Cy headed upstairs looking for someone to fight...and almost immediatly realize Luke too was wondering. So she made for his location.

Luke sensed her long before she reached him, turned to the door with an unreadable expression on his face when the girl entered. He smiled slightly. "Good morning, Cy," he greeted.
He smiled broader at the expression on her face, the clear written boredum through the Force and in her eyes as readable as any datapad. "You're looking for a fight, aren't you?" he observed.

Cy stood straight. "Yeah...just a little one. Practice...that ok?" Checking against the Jedi doctrine, sometimes it wasn't. Her relasionship with her father was more lax than that with her Master or other Jedi, but she knew he could be even more strict, if understanding, about her emotional welfare. She stood in casual stance, casual but balanced, and looked around before his reply.

((I really don't know how you'd expect Luke to react to you, so... yeah. I'm just playing him as in character as I know))
"Certainly," he agreed mildly, "as long as you're not looking to fight merely to further emotions. But you knew that." Luke examained her face with light blue eyes. It was nice to see Cy around sometimes - his relationship with her was more lax than it could've been, considering his relationship to her. "I don't mind fighting you," he added. "As long as you don't kill me, all right?"

*Through the transparent windows of a merchant vessel, Kira Rostu gazed upon the lush jungles of Yavin IV. Both anticipation and anxiety built up inside the young Korun, causing her stomach to do flips. Yavin has jungles... Perhaps I'll feel more at home here than I thought. It has to be better than this ship at least... She had enough time to glimpse a structure of some sort in the distance before the ship touched down in a clearing and the captain's voice bellowed from down the hall.*
"This is your stop, Korno! Hurry it up! We've got a schedule to keep!"
*Sighing, Kira picked up her bag and slung it over her shoulder, making sure that her weapons were secure and readily available. Without so much as a goodbye from the others on board, Kira walked down the loading ramp and out into the jungle. She was hardly a few meters away before the ramp closed and the ship took off. After all these years, there are still some Balawai that seem to think the Summertime War still rages... She shook her head lightly, looking around her. It was then that she noticed that the clearing she stood in didn't seem natural. The bark of the trees bore several scars, and Kira briefly wondered if some sort of battle had taken place there. Deciding that it didn't really matter, Kira started trudging through the dense trees, heading for the building that she had seen during her descent.*

<<I expect whatever you say, I guess. Heh...more commendation on the Korun character, and the writing style of that last post.>
Cy grinned wide. "Aright!" Looking around, these halls were not the place to start a battle however. The Force, she hoped, showed her father an image of the outside of the Temple, the wide grass lawn and ziggaurat steps climbing to the Temple's peak. "Outside, that right?" She bounced from foot to foot, her very muscles eager. Not that she expected to win this fight, but that would add to the thrill.

[lol. Thank ya. This is going to be interesting...]
*Kira walked through the jungle, her eyes constantly flickering from tree to tree while her akk dog prowled around and explored the new scents and sights. This jungle was far different from Haruun Kal; there were no glowvines, no brassvines, no growls from distant vinecats... It seemed far less dangerous, and Kira wasn't sure if she should be disappointed or relieved. While this jungle moon was less of a challenge than her homeworld, at least here she wouldn't have to worry about fever wasps, flesh eating fungi, and toxic gases. As she drew nearer to the temple, she silently thought of what she would say and what she would find. She was so nervous that she wouldn't be surprised if she forgot how to speak Basic when she finally found someone. Trying to calm herself, she sent a Force-nudge to Akysa, drawing the akk dog closer to her side.*

Rin focused, trying to block out all other noise except the beating of her heart. She had trouble with this meditation exercise, but she was doing her best to master it. Matching her breathing in rhythm with every fourth heartbeat, she sighed, her thoughts just kept whizzing around her head like little insects, and she was too slow to catch them. This isn't working, she said to herself. Maybe she should walk around a little outside to clear her head. Rin stood up and walked to her door, opening it and stepping outside.

((And you really don't need the *'s to indicate your actions, since you write in narrative mode))
"That's fine," Luke said, grinning. Cy seemed to be spring loaded today. And that was all fine, in his mind - after all, he thought he could use some movement as well. Perhaps not as bouncable as she was, but a duel could be a useful idea at the moment. Besides, outside was clear, open...
He smiled faintly at the mental picture that flickered in and out of his mind within a couple of seconds; a lush carpet that trailed around the Temple, large steps rebuilt to look like the old Jedi Temple that reached up to the sky... and he snapped out of it. "Lead the way?"

[It's a habit from my chat room days. It just makes me more comfortable.]
*Kira walked for quite some time before the trees finally began to thin... and then she was out of them entirely. The temple that lay before her made her stop in her tracks. She stared at it wide-eyed; she had never seen anything like it. The only buildings she had ever seen were in Pelek Baw, and they had made her uncomfortable. This was so much different... Slowly, with her akk dog close at her side, she approached the building, wondering what she would find...*

Rin walked outside, stretching and looking at the sky. Then a nudge in the force grabbed her attention and she looked down, seeing a young woman with, what was that? A dog. she thought. She had never seen anything like it. Rin decided to introduce herself and started jumping down towards her.

*As Kira approached the temple, she noticed someone exiting. Akysa moved to prowl in front of her companion, a low growl rumbling in her throat. As the female began to make her way toward them, the growl grew louder and more menacing. Kira channeled her feelings through the Force and the akk stopped in her tracks, allowing Kira to pass and stand in front of it. The last thing she needed was to scare off the very people she was trying to get in touch with...*

Rin stopped in front of the girl, the dog was growling, but the girl seemed to be trying to keep it quiet. She could feel the force in her, a living pulse, and a connection, to the dog? She had heard of such things, but never before had she been in the presence of such a bonded pair. "Hello," she said, sticking her hands in her pockets. "Who are you? My name's Rinnah, but most beings call me Rin."

*Kira's bright eyes studied the girl in front of her for a brief moment before she answered.* "My name is Kira Rostu. I come here seeking the Jedi." *She paused a moment... There was something strange about her... She was used to Force-sensitive individuals... In fact, there were few people she had ever met that weren't Force-sensitive... But this one was different. Perhaps she was one of these legendary Jedi.* "Might you be one of them?"

Rin blew air to get some hair out of her eyes. "Me a Jedi? I wish. I'm a padawan, just a padawan." She ran her fingers through her hair. "So you can say I will be a Jedi, someday. Why are you looking for Jedi?"

"I'm sorry, I don't fully understand the... structure of the Jedi Order." *Kira shook her head, remembering that she had been asked a question.* "I require training in the use of pelekotan..." *She paused a moment, trying to remember the word in Basic.* "I believe you call it... the Force?"

Delight filled her. "You want to be a Jedi? That's great! I'm training in, the... pelekotan, too. That's what a padawan does." She looked back up at the Temple. "Master Skywalker will probably want to meet you," Rin held her hand outstretched, her face beaming because she was so excited.
