...without using my annoying spoiler tag insitation.
I've had a few requests for a thread in which they can discuss Star Wars III without worrying about giving it away to those who haven't seen it yet. Here's a thread for just that purpose.
IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN ROTS AND DO NOT WISH TO LEARN SPOILERS AND HOW THE ENTIRE MOVIE TURNS OUT, READ NO FURTHER!
Thus said and done...
TALK AWAY.
*grins*
Sblomie, we know you and a few other people didn't like it. Don't bash the fans, but your opinions are welcome, as long as there is no flaming.
The duel was awesome...

I thought that it was sad...sniff sniff. especially when obi wan was like "you were my brother. " and "you were the chosen one, you were supposed to destroy the sith not join them!" it was SAD! sniff sniff sniff! the battle was cool but why did Cody turn on Obi wan?! I liked the senator that adopted Lea he was nice. anyway it was very sad and some of the romance lines were cheesy but oh well. plus it was sad when Padme was like " I don't know you anymore." and Anakin choked her and then he was like to Obi wan "you turned her against me!" I almost cried and when it showed all the jedi dying I was like "noooo" and when that younger jedi died saving that senator I was like "noooo" and so was the senator
SAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wasn't accusing you of bashing fans, just placing my warning in ahead of time that there was to be no bashing, only polite dislike and debate for now, PLEASE! *sigh* As admin it's my job to make sure it all stays good. Anyway. Sorry for accusing you. The different troopers were really cool! And I loved the space battles. And the younger Jedi killed to protect Bail Organa was Whie. *starts crying again*

I read the book before the movie came out and it sounds as if the movie was just as good. Nothing is really spoilde for me since I spoiled it for myself. I hear my Master was quite the fighter.

Your Master iz...? *sniff* There were some epic (and really bad) lines in there. I was all but crying #1 when Kit Fisto died (*sniff*) #2 when Mace was defenestrated #3 when Anakin killed the kids #4 Order 66 (HA! Aayla Secura...i laughed at that though) #5 "You were the chosen one" speech. Grevious was pretty awesome--Lucas was the voice for his coughing, did you know?--as was Boga. I have that action figure...and her noises were cool. HOOONNK! lol Obi vs. Grevious was pretty cool, but..eww...violent. Artoo's a killer! He burnt those battle droids...that annoyed me a little. The book was pretty cool--i read it afterward. Stover is a mad good writer. I didn't entirely like how Ani went dark though. It makes it seem like his love for Padme was a bad thing. Anyone have an idea why she named them Luke and Leia? It was rather random. There was no awesome-definitive-Duel of the Fates-type music, where there should have been. Yoda vs. Palpatine was coolness.

Well, if you get the soundtrack, it's fairly definitive, but not as great as the Imperial March, or Duel, or any of the others... it's just a convulted and TWISTED theme fitting of the story.
Order 66... um... seemed very fitting. *snrk* Lesse. I started crying when Anakin was debating whether to go after Mace and Palpy. I was crying when Obi-Wan said he loved Anakin. I freaked out when Vader breathed for the first time. Now THAT was chilling beyond belief...
"Flying is for droids"
And
"His fate will be the same as ours"
I loved those in the beginning. I really, REALLY loved that Anakin went and insisted on bringing Obi-Wan with them, even though Palpatine urged him not to. And I felt sooooo bad for Count Dooku. Yes, I know that that's pathetic, but it's (unfortunately) true. I felt sorry for him, and thought they killed him FAR too soon.
The Temple burning was also a chilling scene...
THEY KILLED WHIE!!!! WHY, TELL ME?! WHY WHIE?! *snrk*
*bawls*
Captian Antillies is cute...

Yoda vs. Palpatine was coolness. I pretty much agree with eveything you just said, Cy. But I felt the movie all and all way more epic than I expected. My mom felt the Anakin turns dark becazuse of Padme thing was odd as well. I personally think that it shows never to get too attached to things. It's bad for you. Both the saber battles at the end were totally wepic. Grievious died far too quickly. Though he had a fitting end. It wasn't pretty. Niether was he. "I hate you!" THAT, was the most tear jerking moment for me. Akin to Frodo's "Go home." to Sam. And coupled with Obi's speach about loving him as a brother...wow, that flowed so nicely. The movie rocked.

THEY KILLED WHIE!!!! WHY, TELL ME?! WHY WHIE?! *snrk* quote] Ah I read about this guy, but who was he? I havn't read all the books in that era. So I should scrounge up credits to go buy the soundtrack? Y'all think it's worth it? Obi-wan's awesomeness was renewed. He hates to fly, but is so good at it...that's a nice little character trait.

Yah, that movie was just awesomeness. Sad here and there, but it was great how many lightsaber fights there were, while still actually having a plot. I'm not completely sure, but were there any new songs in the movie?

Palpatine so totally manipulated Anakin! I sat there going, "Hello, this guy is SO lying," but Anakin didn't listen to me! I love the worlds that the creators of Star Wars come up with. I know i posted about htis somewhere else, but I just like LOOKING at the movie. It made me sad when the younglings where murdered, especially because you could see they trusted Anakin, and then he went and did the unspeakable! And that little one was all ready to fight, too. Anakin played his part very well. He has redeemed himself from his last performance in AotC (sorry, but that was bad). I loved seeing Chewbacca! and all the other wookies. I had no idea they were so BIG! I liked it when they swung onto the attack thing (sorry I don't know what it's called) and blew it up. The droids had the funniest personalities and seemed a tiny bit human in their ways. Anakin made me mad when he tried to choke Padme, though, but the Palpatine lied AGAIN and told him she died because HE killed her in anger, not because she had a hard child birth and a broken heart. And if I was Padme, I would have held on for the sake of Luke and Leia. But that's just me...
DID ANYONE ELSE LOVE THE LIZARD - LIKE CREATURE THAT OBI WAN RODE AROUND ON?! I though it was the cutest thing in the world! I want one... But I highly doubt mom and dad would let me have one, even if they did exist... It reminded me of the Iguanas that live on the rocks (sadly, their name escapes me at the moment, which is sad because I'm a biology major and Animal Planet junkie and have read about them a zillion times)

Heh... the "I hate you" scene made me cry... I personally found Anakin's choice to follow Palpy a bit... pathetic. That was one of the worse scenes in the movie. But the rest of it was INCREDIBLE. I mean, he's a great actor in that movie, at least, redeeming AotC.
Whie is a Jedi from Dark Rendevous. I am a fan of him. *sniffles* I like him...
Heh. Yeah, I know. Patheticness...

Hey, Nick Gilliard had a cameo...that's pretty cool. For the behind-the-scenes obsessors like myself. Nick Gilliard worked with Ray Park! Ray Park does NOT wear plaid pants! But he should.

How Padme died kind of annoyed me. Broken heart? That's pretty lame. (My neighbor has suspicions that a clone trooper sniped her when no one was looking.) she always came across as a stronger character than that.

I thought her character was kindof confused. Was she supposed to be tough, or a ladylike one who could be killed by a broken heart? I think it wasn't just that though. It was a combination of the 'broken heart', when Anakin choked her when she was in pregnancy, and the birth itself. Maybe what Anakin's dream meantr was that she would have died anyway, though that would kinda be a bad plot.
