I agree - Padme was weak, most of the dialogue was cheezy and the fight scenes were intracite and jaw dropping. There were some very chilling and visceral scenes -- at the Anakin and Padme I felt my stomach threaten to disgorge my lunch. Obi Wan was my favorite - sublime acting, coped with the script well, fit the part perfectly. My least favorite part was that it was like a jumbled mash of half introduced and ill formed characters (I'm not trying to make a Vader reconstruction joke here) most of the time.

Er? Visceral?
But cheesy dialogue is fun! It could have been far better, I agree, but it was still a star-at-the-screen movie that I would see again. Blasted theatres here cost too blasted much. 14 or more a showing for an adult...

I think that because Anakin knew what was going to happen, he made it happen. Kinda like Voldemort...

I greatly enjoyed the whole theatre experiance this time around. My being in costume and all....snrk. Some of the dialogue needed stuff, I have to agree on that. What ill-introduced characters? One complaint I had was that there were no cool intro'ed aliens except the Kaleesh. Prophecy....*shrug* No one knows the original wording of the prophecy, do they? I think they talked about this in the book somewhen.

Grevious wasn't introduced well. It was hard to understand his connection in the movie *cough like my aunt cough* unless you had read the books in between. Some of the cheezy dialogue WAS fun, I shall admit. Visceral - nauseating, gut wrenching, gross. is gross. I've only seen it twice because of theater prices. Vader is not Voldemort, despite the spelling coincidence, and the fact they are both driven by prophecys. I don't know if we ever learn how Anakin's original prophecy is worded. Oh, the lizards Trinity spoke of are tuataras - basically marine iguanas only found on one island near Australia...I believe.....

I agree re: Grievous. I mean, come on - we've heard he's this ULTIMATE HEARTLESS FIGHTING MACHINE WITH MAD LIGHTSABER SKILLZ, but what do we see?
Oh, that'd be a weird droid with a cough.
