i have been obsessed with both from the start. 2 years old i would refere to myself as "pawawan" which is padawan in... gibberish. and then when i was 6 they read LOTR to me... and then i was ...' frodo the incredibly stupendously genious" but... it was fun. alot of fun. hehee.

Nehehe...
Yes, Rani, you are completely right, I think! The script for SW could have been so much better. And I think that George Lucas did not do a good job if directing the actors...

Sheesh, people, do you really think YOU could have done better in the characters' positions? If you paid special close attention to the story instead of the performances of the actors, you would see it in a whole different light! I will pick neither. I remain neutral. And I am breaking your rules...I ALREADY WROTE A SERIOUS CROSSOVER! HAHAHAHAHA! cough RotScough

OK, the actors weren't too bad, considering, (though as to what I am considering I am oblivious) but even without them, you'd still have such lines as "I wish I could just wish these feelings away."
How does that compare to Aragorn's lines to Arwen, such as "It was a dream, Arwen. Nothing more"??
Oh, and three words which mean I prefer LOTR - or rather one hyphenated word and one normal one -
Jar-Jar Binks.
(shudder)

*shakes head in disappointment* I remain neutral. Oh, and Peter Parker said he was planning on making an appearance in RotS, to make that any worse, not to mention Captain Sparrow, Mr. Hopkins, and Professor Jones as well! Whadya think of that?

I think I like LOTR better, mostly because I know more about it. After awhile it got pretty annoying though because the movies are just so danged long. After a being at Horsecamp for a whole week and watching nothing but LOTR, it does really get to you...and it affects one in strange ways...
I used to like Star Wars awhile ago, because my cousins were really into it. Now I don't really care for it at all. I could watch it, but maybe only once a year. Every once in awhile I would sit down and watch it whenmy brother does, but I haven't seen SW in ages...

Just out of curiousity, but has anyone seen the Ewoks movies? I forget what they are called, but the word "Endor" is in the title. There are two of them... Trinity, They are " Ewoks: The Battle for Endor" and "Ewoks: The Haunted Village". The first is live acting, the second is cartoon. They are .... not worth your time, put poiltely in reference to the Great Lord, Master Lucas.

There is another live action Ewok Movie Godric *I have both them and the Cartoon* The other one is called 'Caravan of Courage'. They are worth your time if you LOVE Ewoks. Or lived with them for an period of time as I have. I also have the Droids cartoon 'movies'. Those are lame...but then I'm like my dad in this aspect as he hated droids.

The Ewok movies are pathetic, but good for a laugh. Heh.
I still hold to liking the Star Wars movies better... (sigh) Book-wise, though, I won't speak.
