To Microsoft Word: Bah! I SAY BAH!! SHAME AND FILTH UPON THEE!!! Look at that...so wrong! So very, very in error! Ohhhhh, the blight of automated grammatical corrections! Heed them not, O Populace of Microsoft Office Users! I recommend the consultation of a human grammar sage instead. Often, such a one can be found in the nearest English classroom, or wherever else you might hear a literary whip cracking. (cackles)

I know... it's so horrible when it comes to capitalizations... I have to make my own judgements... or get a beta. And, off topic, but I need to make a censor for that smiley. Because I love it.

Perhaps the mighty Jandalf could put the neither/nor dilemma to rest? Which are correct: Neither forty-two or seven are edible. Neither forty-two nor seven are edible. Either forty-two nor seven are edible. Either forty-two or seven are edible. And is it acceptable to end an interrogative sentence with ":"?

What on earth are you talking about:
;D
AAAAHHH! IT BURNS JANDALF!!! NASTY ELVESES!!!!!
Mmm, that sounds much better. Saying it out loud generally gives one a better feel for the sentence, wouldn't you agree?
It may very well be my own opinion, but I'll put down a small argument here for my case. Let's take this sentence:
"Neither forty-two or seven are edible."
Now let's revise it somewhat to make it:
"Forty-two is not edible. Or is seven."
Ouch. I'd equate this to the same rule that dictates keeping grammar the same when adding in a second party, like in the illustration to follow.
"I had a nice walk to the beach, and then alligators ate me."
Adding Jane:
"Jane and I had a nice walk to the beach, and then alligators ate us."
We most certainly would not wish to write it like so (even though many people say it like this):
"Jane and me had a nice walk to the beach, and then alligators ate us."
Because that would be equal to saying:
"Me had a nice walk to the beach, and then Og taught I a grammar lesson."
AAAAHHHHHHHH!! WHERE IS THE HUMANITY?!?! WHEN WILL THE BURNING STOP??!!!!!!!!!!1
Ahh. That feels refreshing.
Overreactions aside, I think I conveyed my opinion on the matter. Agree/disagree?
