I also like '60's and '70's music. No specific band or artist though.

I like Asian music, like the kind from Inuyasha. (You can tell I am totally obsessed with that show, can't you.)

Do any of you like Nightwish? That is the best I've ever heard. Ah, Nightwish are so good, the lead singer has amazing vocals, a bit like Amy Lee. They did a song called Lothlorien actually...

Have you heard of Switchfoot? I'm pretty sure they're Christian, either way, I love them, they're music is just so great.

Switchfoot is (are? PROUDFEET!) cool. Check out the Christian music thread...though I don't know what we're babbling about over there right now.

Ahhh... new fav. Falling up.... *sighs* They play sort of heavy back guitar, but the vocals are sort of Relient K-ish.... but better. Every time I listen to them I want to cry.... Lyrics are awesome, as well.
Switchfoot is 'Christian', if you want to call it that... I don't like the label. Bands hide behind it far to much. Like P.O.D. *growls*
Simple Plan is good. They're almost a bit too Punk-ish for me, as I like it a bit more alternative (ie - Creed, Kutless...), but their music is good.
I've been to a Skillet concert! In my tiny, one street town, actually. It was before they were super huge. I actually heard Saviour on a secular channel the other day... incredible....
And they won't let us Pray in School...

I honestly had no idea that POD were "Christian", as you put it...

They started out in the Christian Metal genre, then went secular about three years ago. I followed it, 'cause my older brother was really into them, and I was making sure they weren't another Korn. Dzang, I hate Korn....

My friend let me burn his Evanescence CD, although I am not quite sure what I think quite yet. I love Amy Lee's vocals, but it's just so DARK. Lyric wise, I mean. There are some hintings towards God and Christ in it, like in the song "Tourniquet" and a couple of others, but other than that I can't see the references. But that's just me...

Really? I thought "My Immortal" was about suicide... A bit disturbing, now that I think about it... Beautifully sung song, though...

i had no idea. With the song, vampires are immortal, and the "wake me up inside" thingie sounds...i don't know. really i have to listen to it again. cool idea though. A lot of times cool things can be built off songs even if that's not what the artist ment it to mean. I get like mental music videos relating to stories and stuff...

Heh, you're thinking of a different song, not My Immortal, that's Wake Me Up Inside, or something to that effect.... I'm bad with song names...
I'M LISTENING TO THE BRAND NEW RELIENT K CD!!!!! Woo.
It's the 17 18 19 routine... double-edged sword, of being lazy and being bored... Best line in the CD, let me tell ya...

I need to get my little brother to burn that for me!!!! He actually owes me, so I have a bit of leverage I can use to my advantage *conspires*...
Yeah, you are thinking of a different song, shieldzup! I thought Wake Me Up Inside was about letting God into your life to "wake me up inside" and "call my name and save me from myself". That's how I understood it.

Have you ever seen that music video? The guy who does the rap part towards the end is from 12 Stones, another alternative rock band..... It's a really interesting video. I love 12 Stones... *dies*
