Hmm. That does sound pretty cool actually. A camera? Wow. I'll look for it next time I go shopping and have enough money.

Currently I have the NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) and a Game Cube. I am planning on getting a PS2 but lack the funds, because Duncariel (my sister) wants one and won't stop pestering me about it until she gets one. She personally believes that Final Fantasy is the best game created. *smack* *groans* Nevermind that last comment.

Final Fantasy is the best game ever created. It's excellent!

*doesn't pester*
All I want it for is Final Fantasy, he just wants one. At least I have a reason...

That was my reason too.
I heard something funny on the radio yesterday. Some researcher had found out that there are more girls playing videogames than most people thought. 25% of all gamers in the UK are girls, in USA 39%, and in Korea it is 69%! That's more than I thought.

HOORAY! A thread for fellow video game freaks!
Please don't kill me for not playing Final Fantasy, but I have a question for you. Eowyn Skywalker created this sig for me, and I think the character in it is from Final Fantasy, but I don't know exactly who she is. Can anyone tell me? Thorongil, you seem to be a big FF fan, do you know?
Believe it or not, one of my recent gaming obsessions has been Kingdom Hearts for the PS2. Yeah, it's a kiddie game, but it's HIGHLY ADDICTIVE. The Disney characters are just a clever ruse; this game is THROW-THE-CONTROLLER-AGAINST-A-WALL HARD sometimes. I've got over thirty hours on one game. Now, if that's not pathetic, I don't know what is.
I'm also a Tekken Tag Tournament fan. (It's a two-person fighting game, for anyone who doesn't do Tekken.) It gives my sister and I a chance to settle arguements without actually hitting one another. Heh heh. Just kidding; we may play it while being driven by sibling rivalry sometimes, but it's oddly entertaining.
Right now I'm working on PRINCE OF PERSIA: SANDS OF TIME for PS2 and DARKENED SKY for PC. PoP is kind of funny: He is supposed to be Persian, but he has a British accent. The cool part is that he can do matrix-esque stunts AND fights baddies that are reminscent to the Cursed Pirates of the Black Pearl! If he had a lightsaber, he could be our site mascot! Hee hee.
A firm believer in the Virtual Reality Maeg
Ooh, I almost forgot: Has anyone here played LEGEND OF DRAGOON for PSOne or BEYOND GOOD AND EVIL for PS2? I'm looking for a new game, and these titles looked interesting. I wanted to know if anyone could give me a thumbs-up or thumbs-down. Thank'ee.

That would be Quistis Trepe, SeeD & Instructor at Balamb Garden. She was the teacher of the guy in my last sig, Squall. But those aren't her ears though. And if you like Kingdom Hearts, you would like Final Fantasy. Kingdom Hearts is a mix of That and Disney. Some of the people you meet is from Final Fantasy. (And I have at least twice as many hours as you do on it.)

My older brother has a PS2, so I've played Kingdom Hearts on his a few times. And it is hard.... specially for somebody used to a gamecube controler.
We're gonna have a Soul Caliber II tournee tonight at a lockin at our church, and I'm getting good. *snicker* Well, maybe...

I also agree on the hardness and funness of KIngdom Hearts. i've got an x-box with a wealth of Star Wars games but not much else...my dad thinks video games rot brains. legend of dragoon sounds pretty cool but i've never played it. hey shagraz, that looks like a kuribo to me...(sp?)

Yes Yes. Kingdom Hearts is hard. I'm like completely stuck on level 60. Grrrr!!!!
Ish calming down now, I played Kingdom Hearts before Final Fantasy and I loved it. Dont they have another Kingdom Hearts game? I saw that in a magazine I think.
That is more girls that I thought playing video games. I go to a school full of preppies and girly-girls. So I'm pratically the only one *sniffle*.

It just might be a kuribo (I dunno how to spell that either). But it looks sort of like a Griggle as well, so we just used that one.
Speaking of Griggles... that came from a video game as well *snicker* I spent quite a bit of last night beating a whole bunch of guys at Soul Caliber II. I stand the winner!! Woot!! *goes to sleep*

Thanks! I knew that some of the Kingdom Hearts Gang were Final Fantasy characters, but I didn't know that the gal in my siggie came from the same FF game as Squall!
Are all Final Fantasy games turned-based? I rented FFX from Blockbuster, but I really couldn't get into the whole you-get-a-shot-at-me-and-I'll-get-a-shot-at-you thing. I guess I'm too used to real-time.
Hey, great job, Duncariel! I've never played Soul Calibur. It looks fun though. The PS2 version has Heihachi Mishima from the Tekken series in it, doesn't it? Or am I thinking about GameCube? I know one console had Link from the Zelda series and the other had Heihachi. Ah well.
And if/when Kingdom Hearts 2 comes out, I'm buying it. Who knows? Maybe I'll actually beat the first one by then! (The only reason why I've got 30 hours on that game is because I've watched my sister play it and I kind of knew what to do. Otherwise I'd have about 300 hours. Ick.)
~Maeg "Come on, dude! Do what I'm telling you to do! DO IT! X-TRIANGLE-X-SQUARE-CIRLCE-TRIA--- NOOO!" (That's the sound of me playing Tekken, by the way. Complete with the scream of defeat.)

The FFX system is different from the others. In all the other games the use the Active Time Battle. There, each character has a line next to their name that goes up with the time. It usually take 3-6 seconds depending on their level. When this line is full. they can attack, and then the line has to fill up again.
I wonder why they changed Squalls name in Kingdom Hearts. Leon didn't fit him as first name. His full name is Squall Leonheart. That's much better.

I think they changed his name to fit his character more in Kingdom Hearts. I think it said something like, to part with his old self, and thats why he changed it. I dunno, just a thought.
Very good job, even though I have never played Soul Caliber...
