New rule on making characters: You are going to be making a new thread for each character sheet you create. If your character is accepted, your sheet will be moved into the databank, and the thread archived.
You cannot RP unless you post a character sheet. Your posts will be considered as if they WERE NOT HERE.
The character sheet has been made a bit smaller, as well.
Basic conduct:
No godmodding. Translated for those who do not know what this means. No all-powerful characters. Vibroblades cannot be turned into lightsabers, you can't have all powerful armor that prevents even lightsabers from hitting you. Basically godmodding is making it so the other RPer doesn't have a chance by either posting their actions, doing one-hit kills, or coming up with an all powerful actions.
No one hit kills.
No attempting to get past the censors. Damn and hell all the only permitted Terran words for a reason... if you must curse, be creative and make up SW-terms!
Spelling and grammer are a musthave! No chatspeak, or you will feel the wrath of the mods. No |337 speak in RPG. It's not that hard to write someone vs some1. We will not allow chat or |337 speak in RPG ever, nor script format. If you have trouble with spelling, try www.spell-check.net or look on your computer for a word processor. If you can't even try, you don't belong in these forms of RPGs.
All RP posts should be at least one paragraph long. A paragraph entails three sentences at least, the more the better.
OOC chatter should be kept to a mimimun, mainly for discription and explaining things. Put anything OOCly said in (()) or **'s, or anything to really seperate it.
If your character is killed, you remain dead for three days in RPG. No appearances whatsoever for three Terran days, not as a prerecorded message, ghost, anything. After three days, you may be cloned, you may have prerecorded messages, and you may be a Force-ghost.
Concerning canon characters. They may be played as long as you write an in depth character sheet to prove you know them very well without copying and pasting from another site, and you write a post or three to prove you can play them too. I suggest you make your own characters though.
Interdictator fields and super weapons are a no. They make a character too all powerful. You may not have a Death Star unless you are the Emperor himself.
And, remember, this is an AU RPG. We do indeed break canon (like the small fact that Obi-Wan's married...). Get used to it-- as all RPGs are fan interpetations of a universe, they are AU. This means: the Sith are not limited to two Sith. There can be more than one, as long as always in pairs of two they are. You may join as a Master if you would like, but you must then train an apprentice and must be a skilled RPer with knowledge of the universe. You may also join as a hopeful Sith and stalk potential other Sith.
Concerning Jedi:
This AU means that you don't have to be found as a child. Though you can start and have been a youngling you may also step in as a Jedi Padawan age. You may be a Knight or a Master if you really want, but if you are then you must train Padawans and you must be a skilled RPer with knowledge of the Star Wars fandom.
Concerning weapons:
Lightsabers:
You cannot have a lightsaber unless you are trained to use a lightsaber. NFU's (non-Force-users) cannot use a lightsaber for any more than a cutting tool unless they train extensively (for at least 6 months of active Terran time). And even still in that case they can only use it for basic defence. There is no way they can stand against a FU (Force-user) or block blaster shots. If a NFU finds a lightsaber or kills a Jedi they are allowed to keep the lightsaber if they want, but it can't be used as a weapon in combat. (of course, holding it to a hostage's throat is fine... just no dueling.)
The only fancies allowed for a lightsaber are extendable blades, duo blades, and staff-saber type. You may also have a short lightsaber. Jedi cannot have double bladed lightsabers, and Padawans cannot learn the 7th form of lightsaber fighting. A Padawan will learn form I, and then as a senior Padawan focus on another form if so they wish.
The colors generally used are: blue (generally for the more soldier type), green (the more medative Master type), yellow (well, not so often. A balanced Jedi), purple (Sith apprentice, generally.), red/crimson (Sith!!!), white (peace, dude), silver (*shrugs*), orange (sorta Sithish, but not quite), and teal (Jediish.). If you want another color, that's fine, as long as it's not too outragous.
Other melee weapons:
Vibroblades are good-- they can stand up against a lightsaber in combat. You can't have them modified too much, but you can still make them look really cool.
Swords are sorta useless, but you can have one if you want.
Sith Swords are made to stand up to a lot more, and I think they can handle lightsabers too. They are allowed for Sith who don't use lightsabers.
Corosis ore blades are allowed too...
Blasters:
Basically, nothing too all powerful. Think Han Solo, and remember that they'll need recharging once in a while.
Darts and poisons and such are permitted.
Concerning Force-powers:
Force-lightning is a Sith Master only power. If you're light, you can't use it, and if you're not a Sith Master, you can't use it. Healing is a Jedi Master power. A Padawan can't heal someone greatly wounded.
A Padawan can focus on one main power-- TK, healing, whatever. They can use that, and be strong in two others, but not as strong.
A Knight can have a favorite power, and a couple other Force powers to use as well, as well as one best power.
Jedi Masters can do as much as how long they've been a Master proclaims, really. No resurectting is allowed, no offencive strikes are allowed... just remember a Jedi Master will be very, very ingrained in the Jedi ways.
Sith cannot heal, and Jedi cannot drain life or do lightning. Ever. Other than that, it's about the same way around.
Elemental powers are permitted in moderation.
Concerning battles:
No one hit kills-- a battle must be at least 3 posts per person, unless someone doesn't post after you've attacked them for more than 10 days, in which you may one hit kill and go elsewhere.
And, as that's all I can think of for now, thus follows the character sheet we use. Fill it out completely and to the best of your knowledge. The better the sheet, the more likely you will be to be accepted.
Fill out the character sheet, making your own thread for the sheet and wait for admin or mod approval before entering RPG. If you don't know where to start, we'll suggest a place-- and if you want your own location to start, post in the "Request a Planet" thread.
