I think we've got some actors here, so I wanted to hear what kind of stuff you all have done. So tell us!
Right now, at my local theatre, I'm in this troup that tours around my area and performs. It's 15 kids, all two or more years younger than me.... ugh. But it's fun!

What kind of stuff are you guys doing right now?
My school is doing a play that some gr 12 wrote called " Orange, Talk, Door." I am trying out for a few roles and a singing solo. Nerveous. Nerveous. I am excited!

Our director wrote it. In the play, we're supposed to perform Cinderella, but we're bored with it so we come up with our own versions: a melodrama, a western, a Shakespeare, and one made up of lines from pop songs. It's a great crowd-pleaser. *grin*

Oh, god, where do I start?
Ok, I was in the chorus for Peter Pan and the King and I when I was a lot younger. I was one of the kids in South Pacific when I was 8, I was in various things after that that I've forgotten. I was in Smike as Miss Squeers when I was 12, I was in a random drama thing about conflict in year 9. I was a chorus member in Sweet Charity in year 10, I was the Fairy Godfather in our GCSE drama devised panto of Cinderella in year 11, then I was Cousin Nettie in Carousel, then I was Pope Joan in Top Girls. Then last summer I was James the Butler, a pirate, and Robinson Cruesoe in a random made-up production, and on Thursday afternoon, I'm auditioning for a part in Oklahoma!
And despite all those male parts, I'm still, in fact, a girl. I only played them because, in the case of the Fairy Godfather, I was the only one who could do the right accent (and I go to an all-girls school), and in the case of the James, etc, the only good boy actor was the main part, and we were short on guys anyway.

Wow... Gareth being described as the only good male actor... weird...
Shortly I must go to my next rehearsal, and my DOOOOM.

Well he doesn't end up turning his back to the audience, like Nick, and he naturally has the annoying little snobby kid accent anyway, so he was the obvious choice as it was.

vanillafairyofdoom and I just had an audition for Oklahoma. We had to sing a solo.
Frankie's went perfectly.
I, however, sang several wrong notes just in the first line, swore loudly, continued to sing it out of tune, grimacing throughout, and at the end sang, "I cain't say no... and I cain't sing either!"
(hits head against desk)

Oooh, please tell us what happens! And if you want to know what other stuff I've done, I was Bombur in The Hobbit, which wasn't very good, but whatever! That's how I discovered forums and LOTR! Woo! Then came Free to Be, You and Me; I was lots of different parts... but that was the first time I sang, since before that I didn't think I could. Then was Annie Jr., I was Bert Healy's female counterpart, Beatrice Healy. Next was Hamlet; I was Rosencrantz, and the King's ghost.

Currently Eowyn and I are in a pagent/play, as, well, ourselves. Heh. I've been in pagents and also some drama at camp. Can't think of anything else... At camp I was... Um, well, I can't remember his name, but... Oh, yeah, I believe it was Nabal. Yes, a guy. But no boys signed up for drama. Guys seem to think that drama is just for girls. Oh, well, I guess they don't know what they're missing.
