Do you have hair in various colours or do you want to have it? Come one, come all, and discuss colour choices, annoying parents in the way and whatever else about the dying of hair.
Oh, and Anakin, stay out of ths would you?

I dyed part of my (blonde) hair red for Halloween once, and it was really cool except the dye made the hair that had been died kinda crusty and icky, and the stuff stank. But it was fun.

I really wanted to dye my hair black and dark purple (my sith colors) but 'NO! Don't you dare!' Sheesh. Normally my mom's like 'whatever' about it but maybe this time she thought I was serious. (Well I was...) P00...
I saw this dued with pink hair and he looked like a girl (i was in the mall at hot topic) But comming closer I was it was a guy and it was FREE KAY!
Blue is a better color on guys in my opinion.

I miss my red hair... *sniffle* It was great. Until it faded to pink... that wasn't funny. But I had to dye it back normalish for school... as I hate my real hair color.
I'm dying my bangs blue this summer. Cobalt blue. And I might feather the ends, as well... Haven't really decided yet.

I've died my hair several colours in the past years but most of them have either been cut out by angered parents, or grown out.
green, black, purple, red and brown are all the colours my lovely blonde hair has been. My friend and I are going blue in a few weeks. Thanks to Thor for the idea. *laughs* i'm copying you. hehe. My parents HATE when I die my hair. They are always ranting about how i'm just having an Identity Crisis and that I don't need to change my apperence every time. *laughs* It's funny because I don't have Identity Crisises. I just have multiple personalitys

*laughs* Y'all are awful...
I've never dyed my hair before, so that's pretty boring. Why even talk about it? I'd like to have cotton-candy pink highlights in my (blonde) hair, though. That's kinda pretty...

I've dyed my hair...
...you guys all need to take pictures of the tops of your head and post them. HEEHEE!
Okay, regarding hair dye, I've only used very temporary stuff and have done:
Mara Jade red twice. That was sweet... Weird multicolors once. Green streaks once-- don't use water color paints in your hair EVER...
I took a picture of the last one... *is tempted to post it, though all of MEI would know what she looked like then*

Alter it with paint and make yourself look like an agent then. Might work. Dun you want to look like your Insanity Forthcomming sig? THat sounds cool. What color hair do you have anyway? Mine's brown.
MY lil sis over here dyed her hair ala Mara Jade too.

Wow, more people than I thought!
I tried to dye my hair electric blue once. I bought some really cheap stuff from WalMart, but it didn't show cuz my hair is nearly black... It worked on the girl on the front of the box... *sigh* And then it started flaking off... really nasty.

Yeah, I ended up giving the rest to my friend who has blond hair. It didn't look too good on her either.

Word of advice from one who knows—henna dye is really good for your hair, but DON'T buy the cheap stuff. Those seven dollar packages will only glob up without doing anything really effective... If you're going for naturally-made dye, target your price range around $30. That's Canadian dollars, anyway. In American...um... (scrunches up face trying to think) Perhaps $20-25. I have no idea what the rate's at right now and I'm too lazy to look...heh.
But other than that gone-foul henna experiment, I've never done anything remotely permanent to my hair...lasting for over a day, that is.

Tisn't that far off....
My hair is blonde-ish strawberry-red-ish at the moment, with mouse brown roots *rolls eyes*. Or maybe they're darker than that... I haven't seen my real hair in a looooooong time. I'm dying it again in a couple of days. And getting it cut again. Heh heh...
The blue I'm talking about isn't quite that dark.... my dad would slaughter me three times. And it would be painful, even though I'd be dead for the last two.
I'm just going to do my bangs, which is actually quite a bit. Unless my youth pastor freaks out, and doesn't let me go to Nebraska with them... then I'll do red again. Professionally.

Is there any dye that works on dark brown hair like mine?

I suppose if you got it done at a really high quality place they could get it to work. I don't really know.
I've always wanted to try henna. I'm half Indian, so it's something I always hear about.

No... *dies laughing* Sorry... I meant from the country of India. When a woman gets married there it's common practice to paint her feet and hands with henna in intricate patterns.

And the next morning, as I sat at the breakfast table staring across at their lifeless bodies...
Heh heh... I was thinking about dyed hair, and watching The Stepford Wives... Wacked out, that....
