Making this board was a great idea!
Now,
Why doesn't everyone post to share their favorite Bible verse?!
Mine at the moment is Ephesians 5:15-17, KJV:
15 See then that ye walk circumpectly, not as fools, but as wise, 16 Redeeming the time, for the days are evil. 17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
Sigh. Not from memory, I copied it to get correct punctuation.

Does it have to be just one or can we have several?
Genesis 1:1 In the bigginning, God created the heavens and the Earth.

I am totally obsessed with the book of Ecclesiastes. It's so beautiful, and sad, and edifying! It sounds weird, but Solomon was an incredible author.
3) What advantage does man have in all his work Which he does under the sun?
4) A generation goes and a generation comes, But the earth remains forever.

My favorite book of the Bible is 1st Corinthians. Very lovely book, especially the first 13 verses of chapter 13. It's all about the greatest gift being love. I also like all of Solomon's sayings in Proverbs. They all make so much sense! They should, coming from the wisest man ever...

My fave book is the Psalms, but here's one of my fave verses: For I know the plans that I have for you, declares the lord. Plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. Jerimiah 29:11.

My favourite at the moment:
"I said, 'What shall I do, Lord?' And the Lord told me, 'Get up and go into Damascus, and there you will be told all that you are to do.'" (Acts 22:10, NLT)
It speaks of the great faith we're able to have if we so much as "get up and go", and the rest will be taken care of if it truly is His will.

At the moment, mine is Revelation 3:20: Behold I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice and open the door I will come in and sup with him and he with me.
Why? Because that verse hit me over the head at camp, that's why!

My favorite book is the book of John, it is so uplifting!!!!
My favorite verse is John1:29 - The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith "Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world."
I love this verse because I know Jesus took my sin away;and when He comes again we will know he was the Lamb of God, and that He died for US.l
My second favorite verse is 2 Corinthians 12:9 - And he said unto me, "My grace is sufficeint for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness."
I love this verse, it helps me get through hard times.
I think someone in the Bible ask God to make him weak so that God might be stonger in him. I'm not sure who it was, but I think it was Paul.

One of my favorite verses is Matthew 5:8 : "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God."
That verse has a lot of meaning for me because my name is Katie, which means, "pure one".
I also love Zephaniah 3:17 : "He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing."
Isn't that beautiful? It describes the love of God so wonderfully.

Here's one of my favorites: "When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet. Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh . For the Lord shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken." Proverbs 3: 24-26 I tend to worry alot (especially at night), and when I read this verse I thought, "Wow." It was like it was directed completely at me. The Bible so cool.

[glow=red,2,300]For the time being, I'm memorizing Matthew chapter 5(sermon on the mount), but I'd say that my favourite bible verse is probably in Romans. I also like Revelation, simply because I'm excited about the Rapture![/glow] Romans 12:2 Be not Conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind....[glow=red,2,300]I might even have that be my license plate number one day... Rom 12:2...Everyone'll know it's me![/glow]

...that you may prove what is that good and perfect will of God, or something like that?
...I memorized a lot of verses, so I get confused at times... heehee.

"Do everything without complaining or argueing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe." ~Phillipians 2:14-15

By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God's command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen. ~Hebrews 11:3
What is faith? It is the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen. It is the evidence of things we can not yet see. ~Hebrews 11:1
These were two verses that caught my eye.
