Darth Tempest smiled and drew a lightsaber from beneath a dark cloak. It was a muted black for the most part, but patterns of silver lightning bolts twisted around the handle. Tempest wondered if the task would be to battle Tiana. It would be a challenge, dueling the admin since she was so much more experienced. Tempest ignited the lightsaber and a beam of dark crimson came out. "I am ready," the Sith apprentice said in even tones.

Tiana smiled, drawing a lightsaber in return. Its blade gleamed yellow. "But is it really fair to duel me through text? I'm a far more experienced writer than you..."

"Life isn't fair." It was a simple fact, though Tempest didn't want to duel Tiana. "It is true that you are a more experianced writer than I am, but I will not back down from a fight. Did you have something else in mind?"

"Sure. You drew your lightsaber, didn't you?" Tiana smiled brightly. "Actually, when it comes to RP, I've been in exactly... um..." She thought about it. "Well, with this character? One duel. And I lost it. It's on Jedi.net, between Ason and myself, somewhere...decent duel, that was. Of course, it was close, but yeah... if you can do long posts, we can probably pull off a decent battle. I can get someone from outside to judge.
"But, no. Draw your lightsaber. On paint. Then we can get down to business... I'm unexperienced by this whole 'trials' thing and haven't even figured out where we are yet. I mean, really. We can't duel without a detailed description of the area." She aimlessly flipped around her lightsaber in one hand.

"I have returned!" Tempest's cloak lifted briefly on a sudden wind, then dropped. "My lightsaber didn't turn out very well, and it looks so much more sinister in my imagination." She took a brief look around, trying to puzzle out their location. "On Jedi.net, I'm not going to be in any duels for a very long time. My character is weak! And lightsided." Tempest gave an involuntary shudder.

"You joined Jedi.net? As a JEDI?! You deserve karma for that!" Tiana gave an involnerable shudder. "I got side-switched on there, my narrator's been so disgusted by how things were going. Of course, she's getting another light alias in there, but now I'm Sith. Really, it sucks..."
The admin crossed her eyes. "So, yeah. Jedi.net, now I get to be a Sith Lord's girlfriend. It's so WEIRD. Want to describe the area so we can get this over with? I need to get back into the Lightsider boards and continue my plot for world denomin...er...hehheh."

"I always start out as a lightsider, on any rp I join." Tempest shrugged. "It's a habit. I'll more than likely turn to the darkside, or make a darksided character, but I start out as a lightsider. Being a sith lord's girlfriend sounds like fun." Tempest did a double take. "World domination, you say? That sounds most sith-like indeed."

Tiana waved a hand to mindtrick her trial-worthy Sith. "I said nothing. You heard nothing. Mwhaha."

Tempest rolled her eyes. "Of course I heard nothing. How could I be so foolish?"

"So, are you going to give me a locational description so we can fight?" Tiana grinned dryly. "Or should I just knight you for sticking with me in fake-RP this long?
"And... who are you on Jedi.net? Pysche?"

"Oh, I don't really care about the long rping. I like rping. And yes, I am Psyche. How astute of you." Tempest turned around, examining the surroundings. "A description, eh?"
A narator with a deep voice started talking, as the shadows grew back to reveal the landscape.
An abandoned arena, with mottled black floor and a tall ceiling. Bits of broken pillars lie scattered around, as if many battles have been fought here before, and nobody cleaned up afterwards. The only light comes from a hole at the apex of the ceiling.

"I'm a Jedi Master, I'm suppose to be astute." Tiana paused, glancing at the newly birthed black floor and tall ceiling. Old seats were still in their places around the arena, surrounding it in the very essense of a battle ground, with people screaming all around...
And though the zenith offered light, the nadir of the building was bathed in shadow.
"Besides," she added, "I recognized your signature making style. And you PMed me, and I have a horridly bad habit of making sure I know how everyone types. It's how I figure out aliases so easily." She drew her lightsaber from her belt. "Shall we begin, or keep on chattering?"

Tempest's face betrayed her surprise. "You recognize how people type? What a useful skill." She took a deep breath and nodded. "Let us begin."

"I'm multitalented." Tiana lit her lightsaber, and shifted into the approprate position. This would be one heck of a battle.
((No godmodding, want to go with Jedi.net 3 posts per person and then have an outside party judge the ending, or fast post RPing until one of us decides to win?))

((I think the J.Net style would be more efficient))
Tempest raised the glowing blade in front of her pointing straight at Tiana. Rather melodramatically, she intoned, "I'm ready."
