AN: Several people have gotten confused about my Cats crossovers. Most, unfortunately, aren't familiar with the musical. The following sports the label EU. Long, long ago on Planet Tattooine
Lived a very young boy by the age of eight
On a distant farm in the desert sand,
Not there by choice but there by fate
Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru
Were guardians of a lonely heart
Within his life, his lonely life
A jellicle cat would play a part
Eight years finally found him on the mat
Playing with model of X-Wing
But Aunt Beru couldn't help but see
His heart lamenting of other things
There were many companions, though not always around
Not always available to play
The lad needed desperately a very close friend indeed
Somebody willing to stay
For a Tattooine farm stretches out for miles
Five hundred all around!
It's quite a long long trip from one farm to another
Which was why he was feeling so down....
But in town dwelled a shop that was very, very rare
Tattooine hadn't any place anywhere else
Amidst cafe and electronic places and sleazy hostels
Lived life that coexisted quite well
For destiny had given it a name
A glorious name, indeed,
'Twas "Where Life Grows",
With animals of galaxywide species,
With cats of the jellicle breed.
Jellicle cats were found, you see
By extraterrestrials numerous
So many lost, so many just disappeared, all over earth....
...in spaceships glamorous!
Extraterrestrials would visit discreetly
And see the species merry and bright....
They'd come undetected and leave in a flash
And disappear with them in black velvet night
Yet misfortune would often come sooner than soon
Aliens couldn't tkae care of the cats
Most were abandoned on Tattooine
Abominably and cruelly at that....!
Yet a kind-hearted soul, rare on Tattooine
Saw such horrors, decided to build a shop
Where only rare souls such as he could enter
Where only rare souls such as he could stop
Here they could find animals lonely,
Needing a real home, a special one at that!
Avi Bird, Der Reptile, Siren Koi Betta,
And Terran native Jellicle Cat....!
Aunt Beru and Uncle Owen headed for there
With the lonely boy not too far behind
The jellicle boy was desperate for someone,
There wasn't anyone he had particularly in mind.....
So many souls were frolicing so fervently
So many souls on yonder wall
The lad fell in love almost immediately
The lad almost swore he wanted them all
Suddenly a jellicle cat caught his eye
A kitten in yonder corner southwest
A kitten so lonely, a kitten so longing
For freedom, freedom where he finally could rest!
For he was a native of Jellicle Earth
A native of Earth when he was born
Where he was born was behind a shop
Early in yonder storage room worn
Three years after he recalled very little,
The only object he recalled was a beam
A beam of jellicle wonder, phosphorescence!
A heavenly, angelic, jellicle gleam!
Before he knew it, he was airborne
Into black satin and diamonds white
With patches of china blue and royal purple
Into perpetual jellicle night
His captor was, indeed an extraterrestrial,
Someone Tattooine celebrates as a Dug.
Yet, if our jellicle dear wasn't careful,
One day, he'd become a jellicle rug!
Each jellicle cat needs the very best home
Salmon paste and a dish of cream at that!
O circumstance, thou art cruel, for a Dug
Does not know how to address a jellicle cat.
The Dug did not know in any way at all
How to bow, how to bow, how to take off his hat...
He hadn't a single hint at all
How to address him in a form of "O, Cat."
The kitten, alas was abandoned in town
Abandoned indeed and just in time!
"Blasted Dugs!" lamented the shop owner jellicle
A Raphayl, who said, "Beloved jellicle, you're mine!"
Happy to be rescued, yet scared and crying
The jellicle kitten was no longer at home,
But the Raphayl did his very, very best
To make sure the kitten no longer felt alone
The Raphayl explained exactly what went on
The kitten tried hard to understand
But the Raphayl knew what he needed the most
"What he desires....why, it's simple! A jellicle hand."
"Sir, would you mind so desperately at all,
If I took that jellicle cat over there?
The one with cream on bottom and gray tabby fur on top
With bright green eyes and a jellicle stare?"
"You know, the one with gray tabby fur for a mask
Over his bright green jellicle eyes?
He seems so alone, needs a friend to call his own,
I just have a feeling, he's my kind of guy...."
"So many dear jellicle cats come along
With stories like his to tell the stars
I'd like to tell you all these horrible stories
Atrocious and shocking, what these stories are....!"
Beru insisted, Owen said yes,
They purchased all that the lad needed
So long as the young boy accepted responsibility
Owen said he could definitely keep him.
That night as the two suns set in apple cider sky
The kitten and lad became friends
A jellicle friendship that could not be denied
Grew between them never to end.....
"You know, somehow something deep inside
Tells me I'm always gonna stay with you...."
So the jellicle force brought together at last
Two jellicle souls named Sabre....
.....and Luke.
