A/N: This is a crossover story. It can also be found at fanfiction.net, where it will probably be updated more often, but I'll still try to remember to update it here too.

And now, the story:
[glow=red,6,300]The Return of the Shadow[/glow]
[glow=blue,6,400]by Padmé Evenstar[/glow]
[glow=red,6,300]Prologue:[/glow]
The first thing I should do before I begin my tale is to explain a few things that must be remembered if you are to understand my story, the first of which is that it is based on five popular trilogies. The first one, which is the dominant one, is the Lord of the Rings. The second and third are the same story in two parts, and play a fair sized part in my story; these two trilogies are Episodes I through VI of Star Wars. The fourth and fifth are not of the same storyline, and they play a rather smallish part in this tale; they are Indiana Jones and Spider-man.
Although many very important and useful characters in these trilogies are already dead, suppose someone found the technology to bring them back. This someone is a young man named Xanatos, a fine-looking young man, tall, with long dark hair, dark eyes, wearing a black cape with dark blue lining, and a scar in the shape of a broken circle on the right side of his face. This is Xanatos, Qui-gon Jinn's first Jedi apprentice, until he turned from the Jedi after the death of his father, who was a greedy and selfish ruler of his planet. His father possessed a special ring which was apparently keeping him alive, and which Qui-gon cut off during a battle. That ring which Xanatos picked up from a fire into which it had fallen, pressing it against his face, creating a scar, the Broken Circle, that reminded him forever after of what the Jedi had done to his family.
Now just suppose that Xanatos had studied the liturature and stories behind these trilogies, and was able to time warp the two Star Wars trilogies together. That would allow Padmé and Princess Leia to hang out together, not to mention Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader. Suppose, also, that Xanatos found Middle-Earth, and decided to bring some of those characters back. If we pause for a moment to take a look at the Elvish language, we will see why it was so easy for Xanatos to find ME; in Elvish the word for "middle" is "en" and the word for "earth or land" is "-dor". Put these together and you will find that the Elvish word for "Middle-Earth" is "Endor." Now for a bit of planetary history; in the Star Wars galaxy, there was a planet called Endor, which had a forest moon inhabited by Ewoks. A long time ago, so long ago that nobody remembers how it happened, the planet of Endor disappeared, leaving no trace except its forest moon. Now Xanatos had been pondering this for a while when the answer showed itself: a wormhole appeared right where the planet had been, although now it was not large enough to engulf an entire planet, nor was it large enough to take Endor's moon. However, Xanatos concluded that the wormhole was once big enough to swallow an entire planet, and had therefore taken Endor to some other dimension.
Now Xanatos was power-hungry, and had wanted to rule the galaxy, but Darth Vader had joined the Empire with the Rebellion, forming the Imperial Alliance, and since the Trade Federation had rejoined the Republic, Xanatos was left with very few troops, the last remnants of the old Confederacy. He had heard of the Dark Lord Sauron, and knew that together they could take over both dimesions. But he also knew that he would need someone who understood both dimensions to give him more information. That is where our main character comes in.
In ME they called her Rochwen, "horse maiden," for it was said that she could tame any horse with her voice. In the Republic and Imperial Alliance they called her Forca McDer, but back on planet Earth they just called her Cassie. She knew a lot about both of the other dimensions, although she did not yet realize that they existed. She found out soon enough, however, when Xanatos teleported her to the planet Geonosis in order to ask for her help.
"So, do you think you could help me out?" he asked as they sat down at the conference table. The others who were already seated glared at her. They were a collection of Sith, the League of Evil that headed Xanatos' small group which the Republic and Imperial Alliance called the Revolt.
Forca glanced nervously at the glaring faces. "Um, uh, h-how?" she stuttered in reply. She was not comfortable with all those evil-looking eyes on her, and she was beginning to think she knew who they were. Yes, there was the tattooed face of Darth Maul, his fiery eyes trying to stare her into their service. Next to him was Darth Sidious, Emperor no longer, with his icy gaze turned on her. Count Dooku sat on the other side of the table, his calm yet frightening glance turned almost sympathizing toward her, and Jango Fett next to him, his face hidden by a blue and silver mask; one seat on either side was empty, obviously reserved for additional members.
"You can help me," Xanatos broke into her thoughts, "by telling me everything you know about a planet or land called Endor." Forca could hear the eager tone in his voice. Suddenly she recognized the scar on his face, and remembered a book she had read about him.
She stood up as bravely as she could and answered in a rather unsteady voice, "I w-will never tell you an-anything about Endor! I'm not going to help you conquer the universe," she continued in a slightly stronger voice. "aand I don't care what you do to me. I will not help you!"
"How dare you defy me?" Xanatos was obviously fuming at this unexpected response. "Fine," he continued, visiby calming down, "if that's the way you want it, then we'll just drop you off on some remote planet somewhere where nobody will find you!"
Jango Fett stood up and escorted Forca out of the room, followed closely by Dooku. As soon as they were out of earshot, they both started to chuckle softly. Forca looked at them curiously.
"We're double agents for the Republic," Dooku explained. "Jango and I have both learned a valuable lesson, it is not wise to go up against the Jedi. We are very relieved that you did notgive in to Xanatos, and we would be more than happy to serve you in any way. I shall contact Qui-gon Jinn and inform him as to where we are leaving you."
"Thank you," Forca replied, sighing with relief. She was glad that someone was on her side.
Later, Xanatos took her to Tatooine and dropped her off in the middle of the Dune Sea. Qui-gon arrived almost imediately after Xanatos had left, and took her to Coruscant, presenting her to the Jedi Council as a possible solution to the rising crisis. Although she was already at the age of fifteen, she was accepted into the Jedi Order, training under Jedi Master Adi Gallia. Caught up in her studies, Forca forgot Xanatos' request for two years, but she never forgot her family and friends on Earth. Though she missed her home very uch, there did not seem to be any way of getting back; only Xanatos possessed the technology to teleport people between dimensions.
Two years after her acceptance into the Jedi Order, Forca and her friend Han Solo were on a scout mission near the Endor system, when they noticed the wormhole where the planet used to be. It was then that she remembered meeting Xanatos, and his request for knowledge about the planet that had disappeared. She figured she would try to find out why Xanatos wanted so badly to know about. A few days later she piloted a small fighter into the wormhole to find out whether Endor was still there. That was how she found the Third Dimension, Middle-Earth.
