Adrian listened to the poor girl tell her story. " Oh, what a terrible thing," she said sympathetically. " Jack, bring some water for her!" Adrian turned and ordered. Jack came running, a bottle of rum in his hand. " Here," he said, handing her the bottle. " No, Jack, water! Not Rum," she said in exhasperation. " It's all the same to me," Jack muttered as he headed towards the tiny spring that was in the middle of the island. He returned quickly with a bottle of water. " Thank you," Adrian said, then turned to Linwelos. " Here," she said, " drink this." Adrian genlty poured a little of the cool fluid down the girl's throat.

The cool liquid began to soothe her throat as it was poured into her mouth. After having taken some in she turned to the one who had given it to her and said in a much more normal voice, "Thank you."
Managing to find enough strength to sit up slightly her head began to swim during the process, where she'd been lying upon the piece of wood for so long it was a change for her body to be in an upright position. Resting her hands in the sand around her she waited a while before trying to move again.
