I'm sorry if I've gotten carried away, I'm not exactly sure what I said, as I can't remember. Sorry if I did insult anyone and/or got carried away.

Lol! Everyone thinks that it's gonna be Harry and Hermione...I think is Ron and Hermione. Did you see the Prisoner of Azkaban? How she cried on his shoulder. Not gonna comment on that movie.
I do like LOTR and That weird kid with the glasses... what's his name? Peeves: Potty Wee Rotter.. But I like LOTR more than That weird kid with the glasses... what's his name? Peeves: Potty Wee Rotter.. Just until the next book comes out *I'll read that then be back with my dear LOTR* It's just something different because a lot of the books I've read are very much like LOTR. Heh.
This isn't a very good comparisson, I'm kind of tired. Curse you alarm clock. Have fun with Mr. Psychologist, Arwen!

Heh, I've been gone for a few pages of complete insanity but I'm back. I admit I've read HP. I laugh alot during it- alot. I enjoyed it somewhat, expecially the first one because I read it when I was young-er. Rowling is a good writer, but I just don't think that Harry is a good character. Sirius and Lupin on the other hand... David: Chelsy, don't go there. Fëa: Yeah, I'll stop now.

Some parts of the book are funny. Like in the 4th book Ron got mad at Snape and as he, Harry, and Hermione were walking down the hall Ron said something like Snape is such a- then Hermione yells RON! Atleast I thought that was funny. I think anything if funny though. Side story.
I don't like Harry that much. He seems to think hes better than everyone else. I like Malfoy though, now one likes the bad guys. Heh.
I just love Remus and Sirius. Oh and Hermione..she rocks! Even though she hits my poor poor Draco. Then poor Draco gets turned into a ferret in the 4th book. *sigh* Then Moody scares him and goes "Twitchy little ferret aren't you?"

i have this bad feeling that i'm gonna be chewed up, but yeah i like HP. i mean it's nothing to LotR, but it's ment for different things. HP is interesting. the concept i mean. LotR is ment to be BIG, EPIC, stuff like that. HP is more for kids. i like Serius and Lupin, but not at all how they were played in 3. they were both kinda ugly, i pictured them cooler. the werewolf version too. my personal favorite invention of Rowling is Quidditch.

YOU ARE NOT GOING TO BE CHEWED UP!!!!!!! There is nothing wrong with the fact that you like HP. No one is gong to hate you for it or anything of the like. Just because we don't like HP shouldn't affect the way you feel about it or anything whatsoever. And you shouldn't be afraid to express your personnal opinions on the matter, so don't be! Eowyn said you could start a THREAD about it on the Random board if you like so those of you that do like him can talk about it as much as you want without being afraid of getting totally flamed. I'll even start it for you! I honestly don't have a problem with people who like it at all!
And no, I am NOT flipping out. Some of you are probably going, "Yeah right, Trin, good one," but I am really not. I just feel bad that you are all afraid to talk about something you like. No one should feel that way. Tell you what: I'll go start the HP thread. So next time you want to have a nice conversation about it, you can head on over to the Random thread and talk! *hops off to do so*

*Stands up at podeum... am running for Presadent of the USA even tho I am canadian.* I dont have a problem with anyone liking That weird kid with the glasses... what's his name? Peeves: Potty Wee Rotter. except those who a) start to believe they ARE That weird kid with the glasses... what's his name? Peeves: Potty Wee Rotter. b) those who NEVER stop watching it. c) those who try to make me like it d) those who never stop quoting it when its completly relivant. So no you wont be eaten by me. or flamed I shall respect your honour and try to restrain my self from garborating anyone of you. Which maybe hard but it Frodo can climb mount doom then I can... not garborate you. Thank you. *bows*

Snape: I don't know...GET ME OUT OF HERE! *tries to apparate* Warious: This is a no apparating zone Sev. *Gives him a big hug* I love my Uncle Severus! Snape: *groan* Let go of me.

Anywayssssssss....
I can really choose between them. HP is so imaginative, and has so many unexpected twists. And it's a lot more fleshed-out, a lot more descriptive and less like a travel log. But then LOTR has so much behind, to begin with, an entire different world, and species, and a history to boot! So I can't decide.
I'm just asking this 'cuz I'm confused... so... why don't some of ye like That weird kid with the glasses... what's his name? Peeves: Potty Wee Rotter.?

I think the plot is stupid. What is so interesting about a semi-wimpy kid who goes to the same school year after year and defeating the same guy at the end of each book?

Not to be rude, but if you get technical...he has only defeated Voldemort in person 2 times. After Voldemort was cast out of power, he inhabited other bodies.
And I do agree, he is kinda wimpy.

I like That weird kid with the glasses... what's his name? Peeves: Potty Wee Rotter. AND LOTR. But in different ways.
The books of That weird kid with the glasses... what's his name? Peeves: Potty Wee Rotter., though I hate to admit it, are, on the whole, better to read than the books of LOTR. They're more widely accessible, and don't need to be a complete literary boffin to read them with ease - unlike the LOTR books, where you really need to have a) Nothing else to do b) A complete devotion to Tolkien c) A good memory for names.
But the plot of LOTR is better than That weird kid with the glasses... what's his name? Peeves: Potty Wee Rotter.. It's more complex, and deals with more levels.
And as for the films... I went to a LOTR marathon the other night, even though I have all three on video.
I only saw Prisoner of Azkaban three times, and only once of those out of choice. And I have no intention to buy it on DVD.
Snrk... I know something about the 4th HP film which is going to make people maaaad...

(sniff) I happened to think my morals were in fine order... I think that bad is bad, and good is good...
of course, Frankie will come up with a whole load of arguments about that... she hasn't been the same since she started taking philosophy for AS Level.
And no, there is most definitely the Yule ball. It's something else... something you probably couldn't even imagine. (evil cackle)
