It doesn't stay quite that violent.... really! Unless you are past the very VERY beginning...
You should be very confused, anyhow... *snickers* By the 3rd book, you'll understand-- I think.

I was kind of shocked when Zifnab quoted Gandalf. I didn't expect that!

That was awsome... heh... Zifnab is one of my personal favorite characters. He's so funny. *snickers* You are Patryn, Shieldzup? Hmmmmm... *mind screams Death Gate RPG* I'm Sartan... *makes face* Anyone else want to try making a Death Gate RPG? Besides me, that is?

Does anyone know exactly who that Zifnab guy is? I think he would fit in here, because he is one of the most random persons I've ever seen.

Sartan?!? grrrrr...... i'm all for an rp (obviously) so, anybody else? ? c'mon... zifnab is...incredably random. yeah he would fit in here very well. and he quotes everybody. and how do you pronounce "mensch"?

Post by Tiana, eh? on Aug 17, 2004 18:56:41 GMT -5
Heck, Zifnab quotes Luke SKYWALKER in the last book... he would fit in nicely, snrk. He's Sartan too... heh. *rolls eyes*
I'm all for an RP too... giggle.
Mensch in a word taken from one of the pre-sundering langauges of old Earth-- nameingly German. It's pronounced Men sek... the word 'men', and then 'sek'. The ch is like in elvish-- a hard sound like in Bach.

I don't think that's quite right. It starts with 'Men' and the rest...I don't know how to explain it, but it's not a hard sound. I had german at school in 3 years, and norwegian is similar to german.

i always said it men-ch soft 'ch'...but i don't speak german or norwegian. the point is the mensch are inferior beings that do not belong in the affairs of Patryns...they are to be manipulated. there is no try...but i think we don't have enough people to make an RP yet. YET. i don't have any genious plots coming either...eowyn?

The end was weird. I didnt like the way it ended. But the last few were interesting because they weren't all on the same world.

i thought the end was a little anticlimactic. it had been building to this--and then the minimal happens, just what you figured would happen, and nothing more. that was the problem , i thought. but zifnab acting like red five nearly made up for all that. nearly.

THERES OTHER PEOPLE WHO HAVE READ DEATH GATE! (faints) Ive met about no people online EVEN whove read an enjoyed the Death Gate Cycle
The end was annoying. They built up to what seemed to be some very suspenceful end, and then it was like they got tired of writing it, and just ended it. They should've had a dramatic scene in which a character nearly died and then continued building to the very end of the book, when suddenly reality hits, and they're able to save the day-- barely.
But Zifnab acting like Luke did make for a good laugh to say the least.
