Well, on the Preservation Thread a couple of us were discussing how we'd REALLY like to share pix and whatnot, but aren't allowed... So I had an idea. It's pretty stupid, but oh well... ;D Mau... ahem, Skye posted a link to a pretty neat doll maker site in the links board: elouai.com/doll-makers/candybar-doll-maker.phpCheck it out, and make a doll that looks AS CLOSE to what you really look like as possible... try to find the right hair, eyes, clothes, etc. Then post it here! Feel free to do more than one... Here's two that I tried... I couldn't decide which was more accurate! I'm having troule finding the right hair, mostly... it's like a cross between those two... Anyhow, try it! Be honest, now! ((Eowyn/whoever, feel free to move this if you like... I had no clue where to put it...))

Heh. This board is fine. And, actually, I'm allowed to post a picture up of myself... so... yeah. (Shrugs) I actually look rather sorta like Eowyn. I should do a comparison pic and post that... hmm. That's... semi close. Still too modern looking. My hair should be a bit less golden and ponied behind my head with a blue bandana, my pants should be darker... but similar style and still green, and I never layer shirts like that. The sleeves should be longer on that shirt, and the shirt over top should be more a mockery of Jedi-stylizing. And I don't carry a purse, I wear a fanny-pack and carry a binder to keep all my stuff with me. The shoes are pretty good, though... snrk. The face is tolerably me. (rolls eyes) Yes, I know, I'm pathetic. If I get more time later, I'll go through on a computer that can handle Candybar and look for better clothing.

Pretty close, methinks... It worked out better than I thought it would. I think I'll keep it as a doll of moi, and if I'm feeling adventurous enough, I might work at adding some glasses.

(amused by the different choices of expressions) Hmm. I never changed my nose. I suppose I merit a bigger nose, but that's all right... it's still close enough, considering. Snrk. That's pretty good, for the pic I've seen of you, Fausty. I'd say darker hair, though.

Ok, question: how did you guys get your dolls onto this page? I can't figure it out for the life of me...

You so stole my sweatshirt.... <snicker> That's as close as I could get. My eyes are more blue, and my hair is a tad shorter and more blonde, but yeah. And my nose is apparently unique in all the world. But my brother says it's pretty darn close, so, yeah. And I wouldn't carry that bag. They didn't have a red Jansport... <snrk> Or my etnies. Ah, well.

Aww... what lovely people!! =)
Trin, there's a button under the model doll on the site that will save the image to your PC. After that, just host it somewhere and tag and post... I'm sure you know that part. But there's a little square button under the doll to the left of the screen that will let you save it. *shrugs*

(falls off chair after a 12-hour shift) WHEEEEE!!!
I got mine transparent using PS Elements...it doesn't take that long at all, and with a picture so pixellised, it's most easy. You guys want to get yours as transparent gifs, too?

Tis meesa! It's pretty close, though I couldn't find any tops as simple as what I usually wear, and nothing like a trenchcoat. Usually that's what it is, t-shirts under said trenchcoat. My hair is more fluffy than that at the bottom. And lightsaber wasn't included as an accessory...nor a cool chicken as pet. This is pretty fun though! Heehee!

(clasps hands) Oh, Shadow, the butterfly clips in your hair are so CUTE! [/sarcasm]
I know your pain, Cy. I normally wear a one or two colored shirt... one color with a logo-type thing on it from a band, or whatever, or else just plain colored.

They also don't have Star Wars t-shirts, of which I have many. Brand names are pretty much the enemy to me, except if I am adamant about supporting something.

I have my picture saved at home. Unfortunately all the bodies, faces, etc. are pretty much the same on all the pictures, so it's hard to get a feeling of how everyone "really" looks...because everyone looks the same, except for hair an clothes. Hopefully in reality it is not so...
I will post mine once I return home and have time.

Yeah, they can't get the shapes and stuff exactly right but that''d be quite impossible. I was thinking we should have an RPG like we're all meeting in reality, and try to be as close to life as cyberly possible...
