"If you seek sanctuary from danger or wish for a different life you may acoompnay me. But I must get your solemn oath that you will speak of what you see to none." She pinned Eoloth with her gaze. "Even to those you love."

Seek sanctuary from danger? Wish for a different life? Why? I don't understand. Eoloth was more than confused about Aldrin's answer. She didn't wish for a different life, hers was just fine. Danger was something very difficult to evade, and the only places Eoloth was aware of that were actual havens from danger here in Middle-earth were the homes of the elves. Or at least, Lothlorien and Imladris.
"I will accompany you as far as my road need cross with yours. You have my solemn oath. I shall speak of what I see to no mortal or immortal. No elf, dwarf, Man, wizard, or any other creature shall hear of what I shall see from me. And even beyond this oath that you have laid upon me, I will take one upon myself: that if I may provide any protection or healing (here Eoloth glanced at Aldrin's wounded arm) for you while my path crosses with your own, I hereby vow to help you thus. I vow to protect you while I am with you. And if my healing skills be needed, I will provide them. Does this suffice to satisfy you?"

Eorae stood, still silent. She wondered what was so important to Aldrin and why she was in such a hurry to get to it. A different life.... What kind of life? She wondered. In a way, she missed her old life with her uncle and aunt. They were family, regardless of how she and they had always gotten along. She missed her parents most of all, her mother's laugh, father's jokes.... No! Eorae thought, startled at this path her thoughts had wandered to. I can think of them later. No you won't, an inner part of her admitted to herself. You will just run away from thinking about them, that's what you do, run away. She frowned, pushing it all in to a far corner of her mind and focused on the conversation before her.

Aldrin took Eorae's silence as agreement. "Have you ever heard of the Gypsies?? They are a people that do not belong. Hunted by many, we accept all who come to us with open arms. Most claim no race and few are not wanted for some crime or another. My people are in grave danger and I must bring them news, perhaps I will be able to lead them to safety." She smiled slightly. "You will be safe. We Gypsies fight for those who champion our cause."

"When do we go?" Eorae was curious and excited about what this journey might bring.

Eoloth seeing both the women were now ready, simply turned and remounted Leona.
"I am ready. Directly south, until night comes in." Then, seeing Aldrin horseless, Eoloth looked concernedly at her face and said, "Will you ride with me? Leona can bear us both."
And then, before Aldrin replied, Eoloth turned to Eorae and said almost abruptly, "I see your horse was clearly bred in Rohan. Is that your homeland as well?"

"Yes'milady. He is of Rohan, as am I." And she missed it so sometimes, with the plains and the hills, and the wind sweeping her face as she rode Bel. She mounted Bel, wondering if Lady Eoloth felt homesick for Rohan when she was with her fiance. Eorae would have offered Aldrin to ride with her, but Eoloth beat her to it, and she did not think it would be right to offer something that someone else had. Besides, if they ran into trouble, Eorae would have fewer distractions alone.

Aldrin nodded. "I would appreciate the ride Eoloth. Dunen ran off when I was attacked." She offered no more information than necessary. It was not in her nature to be open around people she did not know. "Yes South until night falls. Then we travel in that direction two more days. As long as the caravan has not moved."

There was very little sunlight left, and Eoloth couldn't help but feel a sense of relief. The three women had been riding for a little more than three hours. Nevertheless, they had ridden in complete silence, and Eoloth was left to her own thoughts. Right now, she was having second thoughts about riding with these two. They were as silent as mice!
"What do you say we make camp for the night?" Eoloth asked the women. She slowed her horse to a walk.

"Over there would be good," Eorae said, pointing to a little space that was without much brush.

Eoloth steered her horse toward the place Eorae had indicated. She felt Aldrin slide off the back of her saddle, and soon followed. After tying Leona to a nearby tree, Eoloth took off her pack, though left her bow and quiver on her back, and said, "I'm going to go look for some firewood. Perhaps I may bring back some dinner while I'm away."

Aldrin nodded and settled to the ground. She reached for the necklace and fingered the jewel on the end. A smile lit her face in the evening gloom. Honestly she was surprised that neither of her companions had asked her about where they were going or anything like that. She rubbed her arm softly. "Less questions, the better."

Shakra crept toward the place where he had heard the horses. Hearing voices, he made as little noise as possible. If he could trust his ears, they were female, and had the accents of the north-landers. Easing his sword out of its sheath, his feet made no sound as he walked, using the brush as cover.

((AI! An evil person!!)) Eoloth began walking into the woods. However, as she heard the sounds of the others' voices fade behind her, she wondered if it was truly safe for any of them to be alone at night. But what was there to fear? Nothing had troubled them on the journey so far. Nevertheless, as she walked deeper into the woods, Eoloth listened to the sounds around her. She heard no sound of animals, nor did she see any movement. Nothing to hunt, and nothing hunting her. She shuddered at her own thought. Realizing that meat wasn't going to be easy to catch, she began collecting firewood, thinking about her comrades. She wondered if Aldrin needed her arm to be tended to, or if she would even let Eoloth tend it. Eoloth's thoughts were suddenly broken by a shout from behind her. Knowing it to be a female voice, she bolted back toward the camp. She prepared her bow as she ran.

Eorae's eye caught a flash of light off Shakra's sword, which caused her to shout and draw her own. Crossing the fire, she stood in front of Aldrin in a defensive stance.

Eldarion Heard a shriek in the dark and turned quickly in it's direction. He headed for it as quickly as possible. He saw the light of a fire ahead, and walked toward it slowly, leading his horse. When the fire was within sight he stopped and crouched down. He slowly drew Anduril, and waited, watching the scene unfold before him. He saw a shadow approach the fire, and one of the women guard the other. He heard someone coming up behind him. He moved over behind a bush to stay out of the way. 'After all,' he reasoned to himself, 'I don't want to get involved untill I know what is going on.

Eoloth saw a horse to her right, as she was nearing the camp. She saw many things. She saw a man with a drawn sword near the horse. She wasn't sure whether he was a friend or foe. However, she did know that the dark creature moving to attack Eorae and Aldrin was most definitely an enemy. Within a heartbeat she had her bowstring taut next to her face. She knew she only meant to beat off the enemy enough that she could question him. By the grotesqueness of the foe's figure, Eoloth guessed it to be an orc. She shot, and her arrow went true. Before anything else happened, she herself shouted, "Nobody move!" Her voice was enough shock to prevent anything for a second. That was all she needed. She rushed forward, pushing past Eorae, and kicked the orc (yes, it had been an orc) to the ground. Placing her foot on the creature's sword arm, she took away his weapon. She had shot him in the right shoulder. He was breathing heavily, but otherwise seemed subdued.
"Who are you? Are you alone? Answer me quickly, or it will go worse with thee." Eoloth's brows furrowed, and her dark eyes flashed as none of those around her had ever seen.

Shakra bared his teeth in defiance. "I fear no northlander, especially one of their women. The name you may call me by is Shakra, and you had better kill me now, while you have the advantage."

"He's a southerner," Eorae voiced aloud, sheathing her sword. "Are you going to kill him?" She asked Lady Eoloth. Eorae didn't think they should kill him, but he did seem dangerous, even wounded.
