To my knowledge, of the posters on this site, maybe 7 of them are male... and I am talking people who've posted even ONCE. That is, to say, Darth Aragorn, Legolas, Grandfew, Tenken that I can name... and there's a few others, I think. Sigh.
Most of us are girls... girls like LotR, and SW... lot's of us do!

*snicker* played with Barbies... sounds like my cousin a few years back... Thankfully, he has come out of that stage...
The animated LotR where obviously a travesty, from what i have heard from you guys... Girls can like LotR and SW as much as guys, if not more!
And I, too, have noticed that the girls far outweigh the boys on this board... IT'S A CONSPIRACY!!!! In Eowyn Skywalker's words... :trinity:

yes and here I am another girl to join in the madness. Well, I've seen both the LOTR cartoons and the Hobbit one, and I didn't think the Hobbit one was that bad. It was cute, I thought. I liked Gandalf's voice and Bilbo's and even Gollum's. Yes, Elrond having a beard was kinda weird but I thought the Goblins were great and the dwarves. And I really liked how they put Tolkien's songs in there. Anyway, I'm rambling on....

This animated version of LOTR sounds so incredibly bad that I wanna see it!! I'm looking out for it everywhere, but can't find it... sithspawned small home town... Apparently, Saruman is referred to as Aruman half the time. Which sounds... interesting. But we can't hate the film too much. It sparked the debate 'Did the Balrog wear fluffy slippers??' THE ANIMATED ONE IS EVIL BEYOND MENTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT'S A CONSPIRACY!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Aka: a plot or plan to achieve an evil or illegal end) (which it certainally was!)
I MEAN, LEGOLAS INSTEAD OF GLORFINDEL?! I could handle Arwen... but LEGOLAS?!! Not to mention that it cut off the story... luckly, more. *rolls eyes*
It actually probably wouldn't be hard to download somewhere online...
But I actually like the Hobbit animated film... sorta. It's musical. And makes sense. *bounces* Somewhat. SMAUG LOOKS AWFUL! AND GOLLUM! AND THE ELVES... *weeps for the Elves* WHY THE HECK WAS ELROND WEARING SOME WEIRD THING ON HIS HEAD?!
Luckly the fact that they didn't destroy the plot made up for horrid graphics in the Hobbit animated film.

Lessons learnt from the animated version - if it's MAGIC, it's SPARKLY.
Also, Legolas seemed to be half-cheerleader, half-Bambi.

The hobbit wasn't to bad actully, cuz they followed the story line. In one of the ROTK they have like a 5 minute song where sam looks into the future and children riding rocking horses. it's scary.

Okay, I'm breathing now...
The Gollum in the Hobbit scared my brother beyond all reason. I didn't really care. He looked like a wrinkly old man... at least, from what I remember, and my memory is not always that sharp...

Long, long ago. Before people had discovered the talent of animation.
Did anyone else catch that? The female population of this site is far more girls than guys...
I must have been dead gone, or something.... It would be a very bad thing if the female population was more guys than girls.... *looks around suspiciously*

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, in a time of animation far beyond mention, there was... the Lord of the Rings cartoons. And Tolkien surely was furious, and thus his death was brought about from the horror of terribly animated cartoons with no sense of plot, and things were terrible.
Then lo! Behold! Out came the cartoons of Star Wars far later on, and they were good! Yet still animation was yet to carry on, and become what is now known as the One Movie... to RULE THEM ALL!!
Perhaps I'll just shut up. Like. NOW! *grins*
I didn't say that, did I? *curious suddenly* Because if the female population was more boys than girls, we'd have a serious problem on our hands. *muses over the errors in Middle-earthian logic*

The cartoons are horrid. The songs, although some are Tolkien's original work, are down right ....bothering. As such:

It has been a very, VERY long time since I watched those videos, and what I remember is the orcs looking like blue bulldogs. But if nothing else, I can credit them with my first introduction to Lord of the Rings - and surprisingly, at something like six years old, I liked it. Even if the animated movies WERE awful. So, I'm grateful...
